The role
The role holder will lead on content creation and production across Business Disability Forum. The role holder will take a strategic approach and collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that BDF creates cutting edge content that engages, informs and educates our Members and Partners
The requirement
- Experience of setting content strategy and road mapping.
- Experience of consulting stakeholders and using insights to create written content to meet their needs
- Experience of delivering small high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Experience of creating videos, other accessible digital content and services
- Ability to create persuasive strategic plans.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

What we’re looking for:
• Up to date Designated Safeguarding Lead training and Safeguarding training
• A qualified and registered Social Worker
• Significant safeguarding experience, child protection and/or protection of adults at risk of harm
• Previous experience working with volunteers
• Excellent up to date knowledge of safeguarding legislation, best practice guidance, policy and procedure
• Extensive leadership experience including managing high performing teams, with the ability to challenge, build and maintain strong and effective relationships
• Experience of chairing and reporting serious case reviews and reporting to regulatory bodies, disclosure services, Local Authority Designated Officers, police and social services
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex safeguarding cases

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead the efficient and effective management of the PSHE Association’s business and services, including oversight of the business pipeline and financial functions.
The PSHE Association is the national body for PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) education – the school curriculum subject that supports children and young people's mental and physical health, relationships, safety, economic wellbeing and careers.
A charity and membership organisation, the Association supports a national network of over 50,000 teachers and schools with resources, training, guidance and advice. We work nationally to raise PSHE education standards for all children including in partnership with a range of leading charities, government bodies, corporates and other partners. This is an exciting time for us as we are expanding our services to meet growing demand.
Working in close collaboration with our two Directorates, this role will require the post-holder to lead on and manage new bids, tenders and proposals, and to support the ongoing project management of successful contracts and grants. The Business Manager will also play a key role in supporting the Training and Events Team and Subject Specialist team in developing a new on-demand training offer via our Learning Management System (LMS).
The post is offered on a full time (32 hours per week), permanent basis with a six-month probationary period. The PSHE Association is a shorter working week employer meaning that employees work a nine-day fortnight with every second Friday off.
Purpose
- To lead the efficient and effective running of the PSHE Association’s business and workstreams, including leading and supporting the Directorates in the delivery of our services

With strong strategic and leadership skills to continue to support the charity, the interim Chief Executive will continue to lead and inspiring our passionate and dedicated team as we work through our 2023-2026 strategy. The interim Chief Executive will act as the main link between the charity and Board. Together with the Chair, they will enable the Board of Trustees to fulfil its duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of the charity.
The right candidate will have a strong focus on business development, financial stability, thinking creatively and courageously about opportunities for growth and new income streams. You will be a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing, ensuring the charity is a place where people feel valued, listened to, and supported.

- Review major risks which charity is exposed to regularly by the Board and the management team.
- Ensure Board are appropriately informed and involved in organisational activities and the organisation benefits from their experience, skills and expertise.

- Foster good communication throughout charity and externally.

The successful candidate will need to evidence the following:
You will have knowledge and experience in:
- Demonstrable track record of operating at CEO level or similar, managing, and embedding change.
- Proven track record of managing, growing, and developing support services in line with best practice in different and diverse communities, ideally in health or social care sectors (within Mental Health specifically preferred).
- Experience in recovering reserves and developing cost-saving efficiencies.
- Experience in restructures.
- Experience working with statutory and non-statutory bodies to achieve commissioning and grant targets and to grow the charity.
- Experience of working strategically to source and secure sustainable funding solutions working within tight financial constraints.
- Building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including service users based on principles of co-production.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with demonstrable evidence of continuous professional and personal development.
- Excellent people management and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to lead, delegate appropriately, motivate and support the performance of staff.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding legislation and processes, safety, and quality management.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the National Leadership Team representative for national events, you will manage the events team to deliver excellent service and event support for all New Wine events. This exciting role involves overseeing all aspects of event production, from content development to logistics and delegate management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the strategic vision and goals of the events are realised, delivering an outstanding experience for global audiences.
The Events Team exists to support New Wine delegates, volunteers, and staff with the initial planning, coordination, and delivery of all New Wine events held throughout the year. This includes two annual national events, the New Wine Festival and the New Wine Leadership Conference, as well as a number of smaller events such as the Reset Women’s Conference, Worship Nights, and Network Days.
Areas of Responsibility:
Event Team Leadership:

Line manage, train, and develop the events team, which consists of 5 individuals (one vacant), 3 of whom are direct reports.

Motivate the team, communicating effectively and building relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders and partners.

Set appropriate goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), managing them effectively to drive activity and performance.

Join the core team in regular meetings, updating and chairing event specific discussions.

Coordinating with other departments to rethink processes and strategy.
Event Planning:

Manage and oversee the New Wine events calendar to ensure that events are planned in a coordinated manner.

Liaise with specific event leadership teams to determine the vision, goals, and requirements for each New Wine event.

Set up and chair event planning meetings for national events, monitoring that planning is on schedule and within budget.

Support Event Managers in the planning and delivery of smaller events.

Manage external consultants and professionals who support with delivery of events including Production Project Manager and Technical Production Manager.
Event Delivery:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Oversee the production, delegate and team experience on-site at any New Wine event. This includes managing the Production Project manager, front desk service team and back-office functions such as ticketing, accommodation, village allocation, telephone and email response, and volunteer team leader oversight and engagement.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our PCN3 Care Co-ordinator team. We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated people to take the role of Care Coordinator and join our fantastic PCN team. We will provide full training for the role. The Care Coordinator will be directed to undertake a key role in helping to drive improvements in health outcomes for patients through the delivery of early diagnosis and preventive work with a specific focus on improving the uptake of Health promotion & screening. The Care Coordinator role will support identified patients from all 7 practices across the PCN to navigate the NHS health care system and ensure that their care is coordinated.
Our PCN (PCN3) consists of 7 GP practices serving a diverse population of over 70,000 patients in and around Barnet. We enjoy excellent collaborative working relationships. Our practices are all high-achieving and innovative training practices, and our ethos is to develop our PCN with a focus on high quality, holistic patient care. We are a strong PCN leadership team consisting of a Clinical Director & Head of Business Development & Transformation who are both aspirational and transformational. We require Care Coordinators who will complement the existing team through an enhanced passion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient services and to the wider agenda of team working.
We have a rich diversity of PCN staff who aim to provide a personalised care approach for our patients, including Administrative Ops Team, Pharmacists, Nursing Associate, First Contact Physiotherapists, Pharmacy Technicians, Care co-ordinators, Speciality Care Coordinator, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers working alongside our GPs, nurses, and extended practice teams
