We are looking for a full time Partnerships Manager to manage our growing pool of partners in the UK including, Engineering organisations from small start-ups to universities, SMEs to Blue Chip FTSE 100 companies want to partner with WES to support women in engineering and meet other partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience of account management and sales, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation. They will be a self-starter and be keen to provide new initiatives to help engineering organisations achieve their diversity goals. The focus will be to manage the existing Partner relationships, supporting clients to utilise their partnership inclusions, such as memberships and job credits. The role will also include generating new leads to encourage new partners to join WES and sponsors for national events.

Principal Accountabilities:

· Work with Partnerships Engagement Officer to create, develop, support, and manage engagement with all WES Partners.

· Be the primary point of contact for partners and sponsors ensuring relationships are proactively managed, including catch up calls with partners and email correspondence.

· Develop and deliver an partners strategy identifying opportunities for growth from both new and existing partnerships aligned with WES’ vision and mission.

· Source and manage sponsorship for WES’ events and initiatives, including International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), Student and Annual Conferences, Lottie Tour.

· Promptly following up on enquiries from prospective partners, inputting and updating the CRM system (Sales Force).

· Host Partner networking sessions which will include running best practice webinars.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve tasks and project goals, ensuring partnerships align with our Charity values and policies.

· Report monthly to the CEO and quarterly to the Board.

· Work closely with the Marketing department to provide partner content for the monthly Partner Update newsletter and quarterly Journal

· Conduct outreach and generate new leads, to source new partners.

· Attend exhibitions and events as WES’ representative to source new partners.

· Attend meetings of the partners Directors’ Committee and the Board as required.

· Line management and development of the Partnerships Engagement Officer, creating a high performing culture to ensure the successful delivery of team objectives.

WES partners are integral to the second focus area of the WES strategy: Supporting businesses and institutions to attract and retain women in engineering. Successful partnership engagement means partners are more likely to renew and increase their support of women in engineering.

The goal is to grow our in person events offering for our community of MAT Directors of Education and School Improvement Leaders, which has already supported 85 MATs serving 90,000+ students.

Your role will be to produce face to face conferences that provide them honest, open and trusting spaces to share how they really achieve their results in practice.

Why?

So MATs can learn what’s working (and what isn’t), so they can deliver the best education possible to their students.

What's the role?

Your job will be to produce in person conferences, with a difference, for MAT Directors of Education and School Improvement Leaders.

Events where practitioners don’t just share what’s worked but also what hasn’t - openly and transparently.

The aim is curate powerful and practical warts and all stories, which attendees can ask questions about and dig deep into each other's work.

What experience and skills do you have?

• Education and/or school leadership/teaching: Knowing how the MAT and school system works is a must. Knowing who does what role in MATs will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations MAT leaders and teachers is also helpful for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces is key.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier etc. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg HubSpot and Airtable.

Project Scope and Time Commitment?

The aim of this role is to produce two conferences:

Each conference takes about 14 weeks to plan and deliver working 2-3 days a week.

As Head of Business and Data systems you will lead every aspect of our data and information management across a portfolio of platforms.

• Led digital transformation/change projects, with a strong approach to project management and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience with management, analysis and visualisation of large-scale data sets - ideally in educational outcomes/performance.

• Experience of the realities of working for an early-stage organisation without a big team or huge budget. We are especially interested in those who have grown a tech team/function from the ground up.

What you will need to succeed 

You will have a strong knowledge of fundraising and income generation, and you will play a major part in significantly increasing income growth. Reporting into the Fundraising Manager, you will be a motivated and talented Fundraising Officer who will help us grow our unrestricted income and expand our pool of donors.

You will be required to lead your own portfolio of work, researching and identifying potential new funders, submitting applications and pitching for partnerships and support, as well as building strong relationships with donors.

You should have demonstrable experience of working in a Fundraising role, with the ability to cover the whole spectrum of fundraising duties, thinking strategically and working operationally. 

Your base location is negotiable, but you will be expected to travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland with overnight stays as required.

Hybrid and home working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK. Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be subject to a Basic DBS check.

The Role

Salary: £48,000 pro rata annum (£28,800 for 0.6FTE) (plus London Weighting of £2,271 pro rata if applicable)

About the opportunity

The Head of School Marketing will lead and deliver comprehensive, cross-organisational marketing initiatives that result in an increase in the number of schools partnering with Action Tutoring. This role will define, deliver and adapt marketing strategies that effectively communicate the charity's value proposition to schools, leading to increased interest and sales. The role will oversee all marketing activities to schools; lead and support school market research and analysis; utilise analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and will be accountable for both school marketing and the initial stages of the school sales funnel (converting qualified leads into booked sales calls with our programme department).

Key responsibilities 
 

• Strategic direction - set, adjust and operationalise a comprehensive cross-organisational school marketing strategy. 
• Lead qualification - develop and implement effective lead qualification processes to ensure that generated leads are nurtured and converted into opportunities that move down the funnel.
• Conversion strategies create and execute strategies that not only attract leads, but enhance conversion rates.
• Campaign management – Work alongside the Marketing Manager, their team, colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications department and whole organisation to plan, implement, and oversee school marketing campaigns across various channels.
• Market Research and Analysis - Conduct regular market research to identify trends and opportunities, understand the competitive landscapes and analyse data to inform school marketing strategies and optimise campaign performance.

Person specification 
 

Essential qualifications and experience criteria:
 

• Significant experience shaping and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to engage a range of audiences, with experience in B2B marketing ideally with schools. 
• Proficiency in lead generation and demand generation techniques and technical skills to engage a range of audiences.
• Experience designing and delivering campaigns that drive conversion of leads into sales opportunities (e.g. booking of a sales call).
• Able to work across multiple teams and departments working entrepreneurially, managing projects, ensuring the timely generation of content and delivery of messages to achieve maximum impact.
• Able to collaborate and influence others to support you and your team in growing sales pipelines by attracting customers through the top of the funnel.
• Enthusiasm for and experience of using data and evidence to inform and improve processes and ways of working.
• Right to work in the UK.
