We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director, Technology who will be the lead technology expert for the organisation. This is a new role offering the scope to shape Refuge’s response to the technology challenges we face in executing our strategy and achieving our mission.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high-quality IT support service through effective contract management of the recently appointed outsourcing company, including the resolution of any remaining on-boarding issues. You will bring a strong understanding of IT security practices, regulatory compliance, and cyber security protocols. You will also be a trusted advisor for senior colleagues, providing expertise, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions for modernisation, automation, and cost optimisation across the organisation. You will provide advice and technical guidance to teams who manage their own applications and systems (Finance, Fundraising, People and Culture, Helpline) and manage the procurement of new IT software solutions with key investments in case management, housing management and finance systems in the early planning stages. And you will take management responsibility for Refuge’s well-established and respected Data and Performance team, ensuring we continue to report to funders on standards of performance across our services.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Team and Rota Administrator for the National Domestic Abuse Helpline. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is Refuge’s largest service. We have a busy team of Helpline Advisers working around the clock to support our callers, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, and a fantastic pool of volunteers. We are looking for a highly organised, experienced Administrator who is passionate about ending domestic abuse and has great knowledge of GDPR legislation, to help us improve our systems and manage some of the day-to-day processes that make our work possible, including our complex rotas. About NUM:
National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is an award-winning charity with a mission to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ NUM provides a mechanism for sex industry workers to report crimes and harm they experience and share this information within their communities to warn others of potentially dangerous individuals and situations. We have a dedicated casework team of industry experts who support sex workers to further access criminal justice remedies and other services as determined by these victims/survivors to cope and recover from crimes they experience. We also host a range of other projects in racial justice, mental health, drop-in support (Scotland), and vocational exploration.
Role Summary:
National Ugly Mugs are looking to recruit a Victim Support Case Worker to provide greater access to justice and protections for sex workers based in or touring in London. The post holder will work across multiple agencies, from London victim support services, Citizens Advice, SARCS/Rape Crisis, specialist sex worker support organisations to those providing services to sex workers, and sex worker-led groups. They will work with police and Met officials via working groups or direct engagement with BCU SPOCs to support reporting to police.
The Victim Support Case Work plays a part in maintaining a wide network of practitioners and officials both local and national, to ensure that we are victim-centred and provide resources in ways that are individualised and safest for sex worker survivors as part of prevention, victim support and recovery. As such, the post holder will be supported by partners from sex worker-led groups and rights activists, and provided with relevant training and clinical supervision to support them in the role.

Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Regional Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting Local Authorities and housing providers in achieving DAHA accreditation. You will lead a team of Regional Leads, providing supervision and support to ensure their success, while also developing partnerships and promoting innovative housing responses to domestic abuse. This role is key to the delivery of DAHA’s strategic goals and will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of domestic abuse survivors across the housing sector.

- Provide supervision and guidance to up to four Regional Leads, helping them achieve their goals and maintain high levels of engagement.

About the Panel
No child should ever suffer harm, abuse or neglect, and reducing this is the primary focus of the independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel.
Set up by the UK Government in 2018, the Panel reviews all cases when children die or are seriously harmed, and abuse or neglect is known or suspected. The aim is to see what lessons can be drawn from these tragic incidents to prevent them from happening again elsewhere.
About the role
The independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel is looking for a part-time chair.
The Chair is responsible for leading and managing the Panel. They must set the strategic vision for the Panel and ensure the Panel’s work is effective in improving the safeguarding of children. It is also vital they influence policy and practice change effectively to maximise the Panel’s impact on child safeguarding.
It is a varied role, which includes working with Ministers and senior government officials, supervising fieldwork, undertaking analysis and disseminating learning to those working in child safeguarding.
We are looking for individuals with experience working strategically at a senior level and operationally in child protection. However, the successful candidate will be appointed to fill this role as an individual acting in the public interest and not as a representative of their particular profession, employer or interest group.
The Chair will be required to attend fortnightly Panel meetings, either virtually or in-person in London. They must also be available to attend ad hoc meetings with key stakeholders, as well as working with a Secretariat.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide strategic leadership for the Panel, leading the development and implementation of a strategic vision for the Panel, ensuring a focus on Panel’s impact.

You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24 hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues.
Enhanced Support Workers will devise person centered support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
