We are currently recruiting for 3 Evening / Night Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Workers to join the team on a permanent basis following the successful acquisition of a new Refuge service in Rochdale. This is part time role, working 16.33 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota.
The role
- To accept new referrals and complete move in procedures for new clients, including supporting flat turnarounds, cleaning, and re-stock to ensure there is no delay in accommodation any referral.
- Ensure the upkeep and security of the building and take responsibility for any cash and equipment.
- Maintaining an understanding and awareness of and adhering to all support plans and risk assessments and to update the Domestic Abuse Support Worker (DASW) of changes to risk or incidents.
- To provide feedback to the DASW regarding tenant's SMART plans and aims achieved, recorded documentation on client database.
- To complete risk assessments for activities both 1-1 and group work, incorporating safety planning, reviewing on a regular basis.
- To work with clients and other staff to devise an annual plan for client involvement, to actively engage the individuals and families within the Rochdale DA safe accommodation service, promoting lived experience involvement in service delivery and improvement.
- Facilitate evening group work and promote, monitor and evaluate involvement sessions in conjunction with the people using services.
- To work in-line with the project's budget, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
- To monitor the security and safety of the premises on an ongoing basis, including CCTV, front door entry system and alarm system.
- To be responsible and accountable for the efficient recording, storing and maintaining of client records including contact notes, correspondence, incident reporting, handovers, risk updates and outcomes achieved.
- Record and manage any anti-social behaviour or neighbour nuisance and respond appropriately according to escalation procedure.
- Address any instances of non-engagement or perceived obstacles to support via a trauma informed approach.
- To actively promote the service and the organisation.
- To ensure GDPR, confidentiality and professional boundaries are upheld in all aspects of daily practice.
The candidate
- Relevant qualification in Domestic Abuse / IDVA / ISVA or equivalent diploma / degree / NVQ 3 or equivalent work level experience and the willingness to achieve a level 3 qualification.
- An extensive understanding of individuals and families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
- Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative and managing time effectively.
- Ability and knowledge of planning, promoting, or delivering group work sessions with evaluation.
- Knowledge of providing support on agreed outcomes of assessment support plans.
- Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments, including DASH Ric.
- Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs and homelessness.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits and relative legislation.
- Knowledge of health and safety and lone working.

As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. The MEL Officer will be part of the Global Technical Team, and will contribute to the team’s primary objectives to boost the efficacy and impact of the organisation's initiatives across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.
We are looking for an individual with significant MEL experience, ideally in relation to education programmes in low resource settings of Uganda, Zambia, and/or Ghana. Experience in fulfilling institutional donor requirements is desirable, ideally to include USAID and/or FCDO.
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to guide, motivate and support members of the wider global MEL team. You will be highly experienced in working with data, and have strong data analysis skills. Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.
About the role
Due to additional funding, Women and Girls Network (WGN) is now seeking various additional Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVA) to join our team of ISVAs at the West London Rape Crisis Centre. There are three opportunities within the ISVA service; we are hoping to recruit a Black Women’s ISVA and two generic ISVAs. Our team of ISVAs provide high quality, specialist support to women in London who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system.
About you
The ideal post holders will be experienced in working within a multi-agency framework to provide direct and dedicated advocacy support to women. If you have the proven ability of supporting women to access the advocacy, support and services they need including routes to accessing justice and are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, then we would love to hear from you. We’re seeking ISVAs who will thrive in a multi-cultural feminist environment. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have experience of working with one or more of the following:
- Women and girls from Black, Minority, and Global Majority communities – ensuring that issues related to diversity and identity are effectively understood and sensitively worked with
- Women and girls with mental health presentations including high risk and multiple needs
- Experience of supporting survivors through the criminal justice process from report to court and post-trial as necessary
- Experience of working from a multidisciplinary approach – supporting and advocating for survivors to access the services they require including forensic medical examination, therapeutic support, sexual health, housing and mental health services
- The ability to offer effective short term and longer-term support and interventions
