Magpas Air Ambulance are looking for a driven and organised Challenges and Events Officer to join our Corporate, Community and Events Team. This is a key income-generating role, responsible for the planning, promotion, and delivery of a portfolio of challenge and fundraising events – including third-party, virtual and flagship events.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver exceptional supporter experiences that inspire participation, encourage fundraising, and maximise income for the charity.

You’ll need solid project management skills, strong supporter stewardship instincts, and a good understanding of how digital channels can be used to recruit, engage, and motivate fundraisers.

While you’ll be supported by our Digital Fundraising Officer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing and recruitment plan – combining digital campaigns with in-person promotion and outreach at events and through partner networks.

This role would suit someone with some experience working on charity challenge events who is ready to take the next step in their career – bringing their knowledge, creativity and energy to a role where they can work with autonomy, ownership and impact.

Role Summary:

• Lead the planning, promotion and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising challenge events, including third-party, virtual and flagship activities
• Create and deliver inspiring supporter journeys that encourage participation, increase fundraising and build long-term engagement
• Develop digital-led recruitment and marketing plans, working closely with our Digital Fundraising Officer and wider communications team
• Deliver excellent project and event management, from logistics and risk management to supplier liaison and on-the-day delivery
• Use data and insight to monitor event performance, optimise campaigns and grow income year on year

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in organising or supporting fundraising or challenge events
• A track record of achieving income targets and maximising fundraising potential
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging supporters and stakeholders
• An understanding of digital marketing tools and a willingness to contribute to digital content and campaigns
• Experience using CRM systems (ideally Donorfy) and using data to inform decisionmaking
• A proactive, positive and flexible approach – including willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

The purpose of this role is to provide step-down support to service users who have received support from the Angelou service, the domestic abuse service operating in Hammersmith, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea

This role will provide a bridge between IDVA support and case closure, offering a service to women who require additional ongoing support, such as support with ongoing safety, wellbeing, or achieving independence. The service will support individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations through individual key work, targeted outcomes-focused interventions and person-centred support planning, utilising a fully flexible approach enabling service users to choose who they would like to support them with each task.

The step-down case worker will provide tailored, non-crisis support to clients, and will create a person centred and strength based step-down plan in conjunction with each of her clients, which might include:

• Providing advice on benefits, tenancy rights or signposting when necessary
• Facilitating access to training or/and employment /volunteering
• Helping them maintain and develop their skill base, (re)gain general IT skills, including providing particular support with CV writing
• Linking up with community groups
• Other strategies to decrease isolation
• Organise key worker sessions with individual clients to focus on empowerment, healthy relationship awareness and resilience, confidence building, mindfulness.

You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 16.

You will primarily work with low-medium risk clients, holding a caseload of survivors.

Have a thorough understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on women, children, families and communities. Experienced of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour’-based violence. Experience of crisis management and successfully managing a busy and complex caseload and experience of risk and needs assessment and safety and support planning, particularly with clients with complex/multiple needs.

About the role

As one of two Regional Programmes Manager, you’ll inspire and lead a team of Senior Programmes Officers and Kinship Family Workers to effectively deliver high quality support services for kinship families across Greater London, the South of England and the Midlands.

Job Description

To provide advocacy support to a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs, including support around housing, finances, health, domestic abuse and other issues. CARA’s advocacy service focuses primarily on meeting the needs of some of our most complex clients – victims and survivors who would be unable to access other advocacy services.  The role will also involve supporting the wider CARA team in signposting other clients to external advocacy agencies, as appropriate and attendance at CARA groups to provide a drop-in advocacy surgery.

Main Responsibilities

·To manage a caseload of complex clients seeking short and long-term advocacy support, including support around housing, finances, health, domestic abuse and other issues.

·To manage referrals in to CARA’s Advocacy service, ensuring clients meet the referral criteria.

·To provide line-management for CARA’s social care placement worker and potential future advocacy volunteers.

·To assess all new referrals to CARA’s advocacy services, allocating cases to members of the advocacy team, as appropriate.

·To liaise with other agencies, receiving and making referrals and ensuring that they understand CARA’s role and services.

Help the Homeless Leicester (HTH) is expanding its frontline team with two proactive Caseworkers to support families in temporary accommodation as part of our Families Navigator Project. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with families experiencing homelessness, helping them move forward into secure, stable housing. The role is for 12 months, with the potential for extension, offering a unique opportunity to shape and deliver vital support to families experiencing homelessness.

You’ll play a key role in tackling the practical and emotional challenges faced by families in temporary accommodation—offering guidance, advocacy and access to resources that make a real difference. 

The project’s primary aim is to support homeless families in temporary accommodation by helping them to access and secure accommodation in the private rental sector. Additionally, the project seeks to alleviate the challenges and hardships often experienced by families in temporary accommodation. This will be achieved by providing additional resources, enrichment activities, and opportunities that foster a sense of stability and community. The role will also encompass safeguarding, facilitating workshops, signposting to relevant services, and delivering direct, tailored support to empower families.

Key Responsibilities:

Family Support and Housing Assistance:

• Build trusting and empathetic relationships with families, offering tailored, one-to-one guidance.
• Help families overcome barriers to accessing private rental housing, including applying for rent and deposit assistance and addressing landlord concerns. 
• Assist with property searches and provide guidance on navigating tenancy agreements and maintaining housing stability.

Workshops and Community Engagement:

• Facilitate or support workshops to educate families on accessing the private rental sector, managing tenancy responsibilities and overcoming housing challenges.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for families to engage with and learn from one another.

Resource Coordination and Guidance:

• Provide accurate information and signpost families to relevant services, such as benefit maximisation, employment support and health services.
• Make referrals to external organisations where appropriate, ensuring families receive holistic support.

Safeguarding and Confidentiality:

• Act in accordance with HTH’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all families.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure all personal data is handled securely and ethically.

Administration and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of interactions and outcomes for each family.
• Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Report challenges, trends, and outcomes to the Team Leader and Management, raising any concerns as needed.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience in casework, housing support, or working with vulnerable families in crisis.
• Knowledge of the private rental market, rent and deposit schemes and housing support services.
• Strong understanding and application of safeguarding principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
• Familiarity with local resources, benefits systems and employment support services is desirable.

Supporting Families at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital

Since 2008, Citizens Advice Camden has provided a pioneering and well-regarded advice service at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) — the first of its kind in a UK children’s hospital. The service supports families of seriously ill and disabled children who are receiving treatment at GOSH, helping them navigate the life-changing socio-economic impacts of their child’s illness. We work closely with GOSH staff and partners — including social workers, family support officers, chaplains, and other stakeholders — to offer technical advice and casework that complements the hospital’s wider support services.

The issues families face can include reduced income, unsuitable housing, debt, and accessing benefits — especially during long or repeated hospital stays. Many families continue to receive our support over months or years, and our work is rooted in partnership, compassion, and a strong commitment to GOSH’s ‘One Team’ ethos.

The Role: Generalist Adviser/Caseworker

We are seeking an experienced adviser/caseworker to join the service. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, holistic advice and in-depth casework across a range of social welfare issues, with a strong focus on welfare benefits (including appeals) and housing, including complex and disrepair cases. You will provide tailored, long-term support to families, managing multi-issue caseloads with sensitivity and a commitment to empowering clients. Close collaboration with healthcare and support professionals at GOSH is essential to ensure integrated and effective service delivery. You will also contribute to research and campaigns by gathering social policy evidence and maintain accurate, detailed case records to support monitoring and evaluation.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in advice and casework—particularly in welfare benefits and housing—along with confidence in using digital systems and tools for remote working. You should be proactive, well-organised, and capable of handling a demanding and emotionally complex workload. Strong communication skills are essential, as is an understanding of the social and economic challenges faced by families of seriously ill children. You must hold, or be able to provide evidence of meeting, MaPS accreditation at advice and casework level.

Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid working. The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the project, which could change over time.

Appointment to the role is subject to being granted GOSH honorary staff status, which includes full compliance with GOSH policies and training requirements, as well as a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.

To be successful as Specialist Housing IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
