Youth Programme Officer - Believe & Achieve

As a centre of expertise for meningitis after care and support, we have established and delivered a successful programme of support for young people aged 11–25 years who have been impacted by meningitis. This programme of support, Believe & Achieve (B&A), is UK wide.
We are looking for a Youth Programme Officer to take ownership of our online activities and help to successfully deliver Believe & Achieve. The role will assist several strands of the programme, including online event delivery, social media channels and referrals, and support for counselling, coaching and mentoring.

Duties and Responsibilities
This role is pivotal in building and managing an online community for young people impacted by meningitis and helping them to access activities and support.
Events and Communications
- Create content for and manage the programme's social media channels, to inform and build a community of young people impacted by meningitis.
- Plan and deliver a suite of online events that enable young people to feel part of a community, whilst supporting their mental health and improving skills and confidence.
- Support face-to-face events across the year – usually delivered at a weekend up to 4 times a year.
- Ensure B&A publicity is up to date and assist in the coordination of merchandise that fits with the brand.
- Work closely with digital colleagues to plan content and ensure a joined-up approach.
- Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders who can help amplify the voice of young people experiencing meningitis.
Service Development and Delivery
- Assist the B&A Youth Work Coordinator in the development and delivery of peer mentoring and next step mentoring.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteer 'peer mentors' to support young people.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteer 'next step' mentors to support young people.
- Support the monitoring and recording of all activity relating to mentoring activities.
- Maintain regular communication and updates with 'peer mentors' and 'next step' mentors.
Operations and Impact Measurement
- Ensure B&A works effectively in supporting young people through the programme, including impact measurement activities to demonstrate the difference the programme makes.
- Work closely with the partnerships team to showcase the work of B&A and assist with providing reports to funders.
- Assist in creating reports to inform teams and stakeholders about B&A, with an emphasis on storytelling.
- Work closely with all teams to promote and communicate the programme’s activities.
- Maintain accurate records on all young people involved in the programme in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute to operational and departmental planning.
- Ensure compliance on issues relating to insurance, Health and Safety, safeguarding, volunteer support, programme development and prepare risk assessments for the programme.
- Take responsibility for own training and professional development as agreed with the Support Services Manager.
- Ensure all financial, administration, Human Resources and technology systems are adhered to and implemented.

Job Purpose
The Programme Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will assist the Programme Manager by liaising with local schools and organising tuition within the Manchester area. This will include attending meetings, coordinating tuition sessions and arranging tutor cover.

JOB SUMMARY
Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of a compliant and effective operation, she will provide direct line management for the Pathway Project domestic and sexual violence support, outreach and helpline teams. She will be responsible for the delivery of high quality support within the safe accommodation sites and excellent quality of service within Pathway Projects counselling provision. DUTIES OF POST
1. STRATEGY, PLANNING AND CONTROL
a. To contribute to the setting of long-term Objectives, along with the CEO & Board.
b. To implement and deliver the strategic plan for the operation, adhering to regulatory and financial controls.
c. To ensure the Charity is operated to best practice standards, adhering to regulatory and financial controls. Highlighting to the CEO risk which could cause harm to the ongoing operation of the Charity.

2. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

We have a vacancy for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join the fantastic team at our Grimsby animal hospital. Applicants must be MRCVS and have demonstrable experience in a small animal practice. Our hospitals see a high caseload of emergency and critical care cases, both surgical and medical, so good knowledge within those areas is essential.
We are looking for a vet with a caring attitude to animals and owners who will be able to communicate well with colleagues and clients. Together with our Senior Vet team you will be responsible for recruitment and effective line management of our team of vets, holding regular, supportive 1:1s and performance reviews. You will be supported by the Head Veterinary Surgeon, with whom you will be working closely.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to step into the role of Domestic Abuse Refuge Manager and lead our service in West London. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave from February 2025. You will work with a passionate and committed team focused on delivering essential support and safe accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. In this role, you will guide the ongoing development of the service and the team, ensuring the highest standards of care and best practices are maintained throughout this crucial period.
Penrose Women's Refuge provides support and accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. The Children and Family Worker will work in partnership with the mums and support mentor to ensure holistic and trauma informed support for children living in the service. This includes developing a range of age appropriate activities, support with accessing schooling and education and supporting the mums during a challenging time. As a team, you will work to develop a structure and a safe space for women and children to heal and thrive. Due the the nature of the service the post code has been removed however, service is based in West London.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 9:00AM - 17:00PM, Onsite this is a service based role. You will also be required to take part in our rota for out of hours on call duty.

Our priorities and approach
The Roddick Foundation was established by Gordon and Anita Roddick, founders of The Body Shop. We are entrepreneurial and activist, driving innovative programmes and focusing on people and organisations that take unconventional approaches to advancing justice and empowering communities. About the role and you
This is a truly unique position. It is going to bring a new capacity to the great projects we run. You’ll be integrated into our talented and warm community of colleagues. What we need from the postholder are the creative skills to fully communicate Sam’s ideas and the work to a wide range of people and partners, and the organisational skills to support pacing and planning of projects, creating systems and processes to advance and document progress and learning. They will act as a kind of bridge, relaying Sam’s vision and ideas once they have been conceptualised to various project managers, partners, and other audiences. The Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer will work alongside the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to help deliver Rising Sun’s fundraising targets during this exciting period of growth for the charity.
The main focus of the role is finding, attracting and stewarding new funders to help deliver Rising Sun’s life changing services. You will write compelling funding proposals that demonstrate the impact of our services and how we meet funders’ requirements. You will build strong relationships with grant officers from various foundations, providing regular updates and communicating challenges, solutions and successes as appropriate to develop our reputation as an effective, reliable and trustworthy organisation. Alongside this you will be nurturing our existing portfolio of funders to help prioritise multi-year funding.
Working with you in the Fundraising Team will be the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications, Trusts and Foundations Officer, Community Fundraising Officer and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team. As part of the team you will help to develop fundraising materials such as case studies, impact reports and cases for support.
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who loves building and nurturing relationships and has a passion for fundraising. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills and experience of generating income from trusts and foundations to grow our income from this stream. As part of our committed team of approximately 50 staff, you will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who have experienced domestic abuse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage part of Rising Sun’s portfolio of income and fundraising activities related to trusts and foundations.
- Keep the trusts and foundations stream of the funding pipeline healthy and up to date, carrying out research into new opportunities and meeting application deadlines.
- Write compelling funding applications that answer funders’ questions and effectively communicate the mission, services and impact of Rising Sun.
- Develop appropriate fundraising tools, such as cases for support and impact reports.
- Support the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to write bids for commissioned services and government funding opportunities.
- Liaise internally across the organisation to become familiar with our services and stay up to date with current trends to feed into funding applications and develop project proposals.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including survivors and grant officers.
- Be responsible for the management of successful trusts and foundations grant agreements and reporting requirements, working with the wider team to gather information and data as required.
- Work with survivors and team members to develop case studies, presentations and fundraising materials as required to support income generating activities.
- Represent Rising Sun at fundraising events and pitches as required.
- Comply with current Institute of Fundraising Code of Fundraising Practice guidelines and Data Protection legislation and ensure that fundraising is carried out on an ethical basis.
- Effectively prioritise, plan and organise own workload, working effectively with the Head of Income and Partnerships.
- Take responsibility for personal development by making the most of your induction, line management and training, and attending team meetings.
- Carry out any other duties that support the growth of the organisation as deemed appropriate.
