SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. We provide a national Advocacy and Counselling service and support for deaf victims of domestic abuse.

Working under the Head of Finance, this newly created role will help to ensure the financial foundations of SignHealth are strengthened at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.

The key responsibilities of this Finance Business Partner role include:

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including finance and non-finance colleagues, to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Use tools such as PowerBl, Power Query, and advanced Excel functions to build reports, conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic and management decision making for key stakeholders.
• Use data from various data sources to understand historic trends and use this information to create financial models and presentations to inform budget decisions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the charity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes the development of grant/donor reports.
• Undertake monthly reviews with budget holders to review income and direct costs and feedback to key stakeholders where necessary.
• Support the Head of Finance with the development of the annual budget and regular forecasts, including the design of tools, templates, and guidance. Collaborate with budget holders to gather necessary information and to produce a consolidated budget.

• Be part-qualified in a CCAB Accountancy Qualification, however candidates who are qualified by experience may be considered.

• Have a good technical understanding of month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting.

Listening Books is a UK charity providing an audiobook lending service to children and adults who cannot access print books due to illness, disability, learning or mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
We provide individual memberships across the UK, with a subsidised membership fee of £20 per year, and free membership to those who cannot afford to pay a fee. The service is provided directly to individuals, but also through working with hospices, children’s hospitals, care homes and schools.

About the role
The Membership and Marketing Assistant will work within the Membership and PR team to help expand awareness of the charity’s work and increase membership in line with the PR and Marketing Strategy.  They will run our social media channels and recruit individual members inline with funding targets.

The Person we are looking for 
We are looking for someone with a passion for books and accessibility, who will enjoy the opportunities and challenges of working in a small organisation. This role has two main elements; firstly, marketing, social media and brand awareness to increase awareness and membership nationally. Secondly, focussing on finding new individual members in specific areas, as per our funding requirements.
You’ll need to manage and divide your time consistently and effectively to meet your recruitment and marketing objectives. Excellent time management is essential.  You’ll have a good understanding of social media best practices and content creation but be equally comfortable speaking to members and partners on the phone, online or in person. 
The ideal candidate will have a friendly, can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and improve their skills, as well as a desire to help more people access books.

About the opportunity

The Head of School Marketing will lead and deliver comprehensive, cross-organisational marketing initiatives that result in an increase in the number of schools partnering with Action Tutoring. This role will define, deliver and adapt marketing strategies that effectively communicate the charity's value proposition to schools, leading to increased interest and sales. The role will oversee all marketing activities to schools; lead and support school market research and analysis; utilise analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and will be accountable for both school marketing and the initial stages of the school sales funnel (converting qualified leads into booked sales calls with our programme department).

• Strategic direction - set, adjust and operationalise a comprehensive cross-organisational school marketing strategy. 
• Lead qualification - develop and implement effective lead qualification processes to ensure that generated leads are nurtured and converted into opportunities that move down the funnel.
• Conversion strategies create and execute strategies that not only attract leads, but enhance conversion rates.
• Campaign management – Work alongside the Marketing Manager, their team, colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications department and whole organisation to plan, implement, and oversee school marketing campaigns across various channels.
• Market Research and Analysis - Conduct regular market research to identify trends and opportunities, understand the competitive landscapes and analyse data to inform school marketing strategies and optimise campaign performance.

• Significant experience shaping and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to engage a range of audiences, with experience in B2B marketing ideally with schools.
