The Royal British Legion’s Outreach Service currently operates in England, Wales and Ireland and provides, responsive, holistic, and person-centred support, to beneficiaries experiencing complex and often isolating challenges in relation to homelessness, mental health, addiction and dependency, domestic abuse, the Criminal Justice system, and children/families at risk.  We are in the process of enhancing and increasing resource across this vital service, to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our beneficiaries.

We are delighted to announce that we are expanding the Outreach Service and team and now recruiting for Regional Outreach Officer to join us in this mission.
 
As a Regional Outreach Officer, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, supporting and working alongside beneficiaries across the South East (Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire) providing advice, guidance and advocacy support to achieve outcomes that will have a positive impact on their lives.
 
Led by the Regional Lead Outreach, you will form part of the Outreach team, working in collaboration with wider Outreach Service team members across the UK as required.
 
The role is homebased, with the requirement to travel for beneficiary face to face appointments and other organisational meetings and training across South East.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. You will work to develop and deliver a portfolio of support and information services for people in Scotland affected by bowel cancer. In the Services team, we currently have a range of peer support and information services and are constantly innovating, testing and refining our offer to ensure they reach as many people as possible and provide the support they want. This role will be responsible for scaling our existing services in Scotland and adapting them to meet the specific needs of patients and their families across the country. Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. Located just outside Goring on Thames and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, with extensive facilities based within two buildings at Flint House and Flint Fold.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. This newly created role will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and support the Flint House strategic plan and mission.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other potential supporters.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of the charity's mission.
• Write compelling grant proposals, solicitation letters, and other fundraising materials to secure funding from foundations and grant-making organisations.
• Work to create effective fundraising campaigns and materials, including digital and print collateral, social media content, and email campaigns.
• Manage donor stewardship and recognition programs to ensure donors feel valued and engaged with the organisation.
• Utilise donor management software / databases to track donor interactions, manage donor information, and analyse fundraising data.
• Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising activities, goals, and outcomes to the Executive Team and Trustees.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, philanthropy, and non-profit management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage a team that supports our donor engagement and communications strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Membership with the Institute of Fundraising.
• Significant experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts -  annual fundraising income of upward of £1 million.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate the charity's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals, grant proposals, and other donor communications.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in donor management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant fundraising tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices, ethical guidelines, and regulations governing charitable organisations.
• Working knowledge of marketing communications strategy and donor engagement.
• Proven line manager and demonstrated ability to work across all levels within Flint House to support and drive our fundraising efforts.
• Passion for the Flint House mission and commitment to making a difference in the community.

About you

You will have administrative support experience and previous PA/Secretariat experience, including responsibility for diary management for multiple principals concurrently. You will have a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills. 

Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and proven experience of engaging with a wide range of people at all levels in a professional capacity are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and be comfortable working with various new IT systems and software.

The Government has promised to halt the decline of nature by 2030. To succeed, the Government must take a stronger grip on chemicals pollution, from pesticide pollution to toxic chemicals in consumer products. Not a single river in the UK is in good chemical condition and not a single corner of the Earth is free from man-made chemical contamination.

Your job will be to convene some of England’s best environmental policy experts to agree bold and effective shared policy positions in all aspects of chemicals management, from licensing and restrictions to monitoring and enforcement. There will be lots of thinking, lots of writing, and lots of opportunities to shape shared campaigns. You will also play a key role in delivering those messages to key influencers in Government and in Parliament, building powerful partnerships with other sectors along the way.

Horatio’s Garden is looking for an Events Assistant to join its friendly and growing team which creates, organises and implements a wide range of special events.

Horatio’s Garden is an independent charity that nurtures the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. Leading designers create the accessible gardens where the charity’s team, alongside volunteers and creatives, care for people and plants alike.  

The charity is growing. With seven garden projects open, we have an eighth garden under construction in Sheffield due to open in 2025. After winning ‘Best in Show’ at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2023 with a show garden designed for people with mobility needs, the charity’s profile was significantly increased and there are major plans to expand the special events programme to raise awareness and generate sustainable income.

Key responsibilities

· Assist with the administration and coordination of fundraising and stewardship events

· Assist with communications, mailings and guestlist management

· Set up event ticketing

· Update supporter details on the fundraising database

· Support with third party fundraisers including responding to queries, sending out fundraising packs and monitoring income

· Attending events where required including some evenings and weekends

· Perform general office administration tasks

We are looking for someone who has

• Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Flexible, can-do attitude, with the ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure
• A willingness to learn new skills and to develop existing skills

This role will develop existing relationships with high-net-worth donors, as well as developing a broader major donor product offering including a patron’s programme and harnessing the potential of the hospital’s clinical networks. Key duties include:

• Developing relationships with new and existing High Net Worth Individuals to understand their motivations and desires to advance care for heart and lung patients.
• Account managing existing major donor relationships, giving at a 4-6 figure level.
• Supported by the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, developing the major donor fundraising strategy and product offering including a patron’s programme and a suite of stewardship events.
• Managing a comprehensive prospect research process, working with hospital partners and internal colleagues to identify potential new supporters and develop a pipeline of new major donor fundraising opportunities.

• Experience of establishing and developing high-value relationships within a fundraising setting.

About the role

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and support the Flint House strategic plan and mission.

About You
