• Provide support to the Chairs and members, co-ordinate meetings for the AI committees, advisory and working groups and other relevant groups (AI groups).
• Prioritise support for AI groups alongside all AI workstream activities for alignment and integration with the RCR AI strategic aims.

The service consists of a 24-hour supported accommodation service, and 3 medium-low supported accommodation services across the borough of Islington. SCHOOLS BASED ACROSS THE DIOCESE OF SALFORD

Thanks to funding from a charitable foundation, we are now seeking to employ Counsellors for our Caritas Schools’ Service, to address and support the poor mental health of children and young people and their families through counselling interventions and therapeutic services in schools across the Diocese of Salford, according to each school’s formal agreement.

The role requires you to liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the child/young person’s needs are being met and any issues that arise are being addressed appropriately. This will also include providing support and guidance to school staff on these matters.

You must have knowledge of safeguarding guidelines and risk factors in relation to working with children and young people and be able to respond accordingly by following the locality safeguarding procedures and ensure that priority is given to the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in all work undertaken. You must also support the school staff with safeguarding.

You must have competent IT skills, be confident with systems, complete reports, maintain records and manage confidential data and be able to review and obtain feedback on the support in place for the children and young people and provide this information back to the schools and Caritas Schools’ Service as required.

You must also be able to make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice and approaches and partake in supervision one to one, clinical and group reflective supervision with other counsellors. 

Registered counsellor status with the BACP, UKCP or similar registration is essential. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.  The salary includes accrued annual leave.

• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
• Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents. 

Financial Management

• Support the Service Manager in managing the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

THE ROLE: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) / Permanent / working onsite Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with one late shift per week.

Are you a person-centred leader who thrives on getting the best results possible, leading a dynamic team to encourage positive change for young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Supported Housing Manager at Horsham Y Centre supporting 50 young people aged 16-25 to alleviate the risk of or impact of homelessness. The service is staffed 24 hours a day with a support team, night team and management based onsite. The service aims to support residents into independent accommodation through life skills support. In delivering the role, you will report to the Supported Housing Manager and be responsible for:

Service Provision: Supporting the Supported Housing Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification including compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and Ofsted regulations. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services team to complete estate inspections and health & safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Supported Housing Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents team to create a rent payment culture.

Leadership and People Management: Directly line manage team members, ensuring their service delivery, working culture and personal development mirror best practice. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions, whilst ensuring they are supported within safe and consistent boundaries.

General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

Role summary and purpose
 

This is a time of continuing and exciting development at Kidney Care UK, the leading kidney patient support charity nationwide. Our charity provides emotional, practical and financial support to kidney patients and their families, in addition to consistently undertaking to improve kidney health and care services across the UK.

The counselling service is currently seeking an integrative counsellor to welcome to their friendly and supportive team. Our counsellors are dedicated to understanding and empowering kidney patients/family members/carers whose daily lives are impacted through living with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

If you feel this is an area that you would be keen to work in, and are successful in your application, you will receive the necessary in-house training to understand and work effectively with the impact of this disease.

• Current BACP Membership.

The project aims to engage and empower young people from diverse communities who face the greatest health inequities to become active health citizens, through peer-to-peer learning and practical physical and mental health first aid sessions relevant to the challenges they face. Aimed at young people aged 14 to 25 (or 11 to 25 for broad access), who would not typically come through our doors. Young Responders will use existing St John young people and volunteers to deliver first aid training to young people from under-served communities. To deliver this ambition, young people and volunteers will become Community Champions who will deliver sessions that are local to young people and reflective of their needs and those of the community in which they live. The Facilitator will be responsible for directly leading and delivering first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings. This role will also offer pastoral support to those delivering sessions to support their welfare and wellbeing.

• Experience in Youth Work or working with young people in a community context

About The Role:

• Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinators, project team and Community Champions to plan the delivery of young responder first aid sessions in the community and deliver the sessions where a volunteer is not available
• Identify and build partnerships with local organisations and educational settings to support project delivery and promote the project within local communities
• Facilitate training to upskill young people & volunteers to become Community Champions
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to Community Champions and raise any concerns in accordance with St John Ambulance policy
• Ensure training sessions held in the community are risk assessed and registered in line with St John Ambulance policy

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the organisation to provide administration to support Domestic Abuse case management interventions across Thames Valley, as part of the Drive Project.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

As Case Manager, you will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services.

To do this, you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risks, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA’s (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.

You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

Extensive training will be provided which may include the opportunity to gain accreditation for working with perpetrators of DVA. 

Full driving license is an essential requirement.

About the Role

The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the service delivers excellent and continuously improving project performance in line with the contract for supported accommodation as part of the Manchester Young Futures Pathway. You will deliver the services to achieve a positive impact on outcomes for clients and high levels of partnership and involvement from clients, staff, volunteers and key stakeholders.

You will manage two supported accommodation buildings, one housing 12 young people, and one housing 14 young people, being responsible for the health and safety of the building and all housing management tasks (with support from internal teams and processes).

The service works with young people aged 16-25, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, have slept rough and have complexities in their needs and risks such as being care leavers, having substance use and mental health and wellbeing issues.  You will manage a support team, including senior workers and waking night staff. Support will be provided to all young people across the two services, with some degree of resettlement support also. The aim of the service is to support clients to build their skills, be confident in their journey towards independence and move on to independent living, and:

Key responsibilities include:

· Develop and maintain the skills to live independently

· Manage finances including access to benefits and debt advice

· Access a range of services and community facilities to meet their needs, including health care, treatment, mental health support, advocacy, floating support, befriending and social and leisure activities

· Build on their individual strengths and assets to achieve the outcomes that matter to them in their move to independence and improve health and wellbeing.

About You

You will have experience in managing a service in a support setting with a focus on continuous improvement in working with young people with complex mental health needs.

You will need to have the following skills and experience:
