We are looking for an experienced Content Writer to work for an exciting not-for-profit organisation.

About the role:
Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Content Writer supports the delivery of the organisation’s editorial activities and publications, in particular Regulatory Rapporteur, the organisation’s international peer-reviewed journal for its members.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Major Gifts fundraiser to join the successful Development team at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew as Senior Development Manager, Major Gifts on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract. The role works as a key strategic partner to the Associate Director, Major Gifts & Individual Giving and leads the Major Gifts team of two Development Managers to ensure long-term growth of income from major donors and management of the overall Major Gifts pipeline. The post-holder will lead on the development and delivery of a major donor giving group around Kew’s Palm House restoration project and the continued development of a strategy for increasing income raised from donors in the US.
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
You will need a strong track record of developing and maintaining successful one-to-one relationships with individual high net worth donors and a demonstrable record of meeting challenging financial targets. You will have a strong understanding of effective major-gift fundraising techniques, the motivations for high net-worth individuals, excellent analytical skills and judgement combined with a highly professional and diplomatic approach. As the Policy, Public Affairs and Communications Manager for the Drive Partnership, you will lead our efforts to ensure that those with the ability to make change, because of the funding or policy making role they hold, understand the aims and vision of the Drive Partnership and what our data, practice expertise and the voice of survivors is telling us about how to stop domestic abuse in the UK.
In this role, offered a permanent post subject to funding, you will lead a team of two staff, develop our policy influencing capacity and support our national roll out of ground-breaking interventions to stop domestic abuse. You will also take responsibility for improving our internal communications, enhancing our reputation and supporting communications and relationships across the extensive Drive network of partners and beyond.
You will be an experienced public affairs specialist with a background in policy influencing and have extensive contacts. You will build relationships with and work to support Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance’s public affairs and comms teams and key audiences across the partnership to enhance our influence, reputation and profile both locally and nationally, and maintain good relationships with others who currently work on public affairs and policy issues across the Drive and Respect networks of stakeholders and partners.

Main Responsibilities:
· To process residents rent and payments received on the housing management system (Pyramid) in order to achieve rent collection and arrears targets.
· Ensure all housing debts are pursued with the resident and local authorities ensuring all actions are recorded and payment plans are agreed with the resident.
· Effectively implement the rent arrears procedure to ensure warnings and eviction notices are served in a timely manner and in accordance with legal procedures
· Pass to Finance colleagues all requests for relevant council tax payments from local authorities
· Ensure receipts from Surrey County Council are correctly allocated between rent accounts and any support element is recorded as Housing Support based on bank payments sent by the Finance team to the housing team. Provide Finance with this information so they can enter onto finance system
· Input bank credits to match bank receipts from finance and posting onto Pyramid (housing management system).
· Work closely with the Head of Finance and support them with the month end reconciliation of receipts and arrears balance
· Lead on Discretionary Housing Payments requests, benefit issues and enquiries with the local authorities
· Maintain accurate rent accounts on the Pyramid housing management system ensuring information is recorded accurately.
· Work closely with the Housing Team and Finance Team on rent and support income management developing good working relations with them.
· Represent the organization in court possessions and evictions where necessary.
· Run monthly rent reports as directed by Head of Housing and Head of Finance
· Work closely with the Finance Officer (income) in relation to any queries about rent charged and payments received.
· Provide cover for the Finance Officer (income) where needed (after training)
· Maintain and submission of pre-card card processes
· Meet with the Head of Finance, Head of Housing and Finance Officer (income) to review housing arrears monthly.
· Ensure processes are followed and systems are updated to support the Key Housing Performance Indicator targets.
· Contribute and represent the organisation in a positive manner in team/management meetings both internally and externally.
· Have knowledge of the external environment in which the YMCA works and keep abreast of key changes particularly around Welfare Reform

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a health membership charity for a Head of Finance and Operations on a full-time, permanent basis. You will manage all finance related activities including monthly management accounts and end of year statutory accounts. You will also manage payroll as well as some transactional HR to ensure prompt onboarding and issuing contracts.
