About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Oxfordshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, Children’s homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full-time role for 21 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the IAP or IAQ qualification will start on £22,500 per annum pro-rata.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support
Preferably, you should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

Community Outreach Worker

Purpose of Post
The Community Outreach Worker (Complex Needs Housing Service) provides advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. They ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly, they remain a source of independent support for all clients and they will embed a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach in all aspects of the role.
About the Service
The Complex Needs Housing Service works as a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.
Service Objectives
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
- To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
- To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
- To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consisting of Change Grow Live (CGL), District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

About the Role

About the Recovery Lounge Service
Our Recovery Lounges offer a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental environment outside of normal working hours for those who feel in mental distress or crisis. The role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area.
Mind BLMK Recovery Lounges (formally known as Crisis Café) are open evenings in Bedfordshire and Luton. Anyone from Bedfordshire and Luton is welcome at any location. The service operates from 5pm-11pm 365 days of the year and can support you to get well, stay well.
The Recovery Lounge provides individuals with:
- A supportive and safe environment where they can decompress, take some quiet time, speak, and connect with others
- A one-to-one session with a trained mental health worker
- Support to identify positive mental health coping strategies, including goal and safety plans
- Advice and guidance about other support services available in their area (and nationally).
Service Delivery
- Deliver preventative focussed 1:1s when required, supporting a community focused safe space and ensure outcomes which supports individuals experiencing a mental health challenge including crisis in Central Bedfordshire & Bedfordshire, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
- Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process and undertaking 1:1s.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

About the role
Agenda’s Research and Evidence Officer will play a key role in our data, evidence and research and workstreams.
They will design, hold and deliver research projects; centre women and girls’ voices through coproduction; share evidence and insights with the wider team, trustees, and funders; and produce a range of materials, including reports and briefings, for different kinds of external audiences.
They will gather a range of evidence through data collection and desk-based research, and carry out research, using interviews, focus groups and data analysis as well as less-traditional research methods.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct desk-based, primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative research, including; submitting Freedom of Information requests; analysing data and evidence from a range of sources; conducting interviews and focus groups; and other evidence gathering as necessary to develop clear cases for change across the issues Agenda Alliance works on.
- Design and maintain systems, project plans and research methodologies to develop evidence across Agenda’s priority areas, centring voices of women and girls with lived experience of the areas we work on, and the expertise of Alliance members.
- Produce engaging ways of sharing Agenda’s learning and communicating research findings, including through writing reports and briefings, and providing other members of the team with evidence and insights for their work, including the Communications and Campaigns Coordinator, and the Policy and Public Affairs Officer.
- Grow and maintain relationships with a network of organisations, practitioners and experts, including systems of engagement and intelligence gathering (e.g. online, focus groups, roundtables, project visits).
- Work closely with the rest of the team to develop evidence to inform Agenda’s policy positions, campaigns and influencing.
- Engaging with stakeholders, decision makers, politicians and government officials as appropriate.
- Work with the wider team to embed and utilise effective monitoring and impact evaluation processes for our research activities.
- Lead on embedding anti-racist and trauma-informed approaches into our evidence and research practice.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced researcher, with a background working with experts by experience, committed to embedding women and girls’ voices in research in a trauma-informed way.
We’re seeking someone who can demonstrate compassionate, person-centred research skills, an ability to understand and analyse quantitative and qualitative data, and an appetite for designing new projects and processes to uncover evidence and insights.
This is an exciting and varied role, providing the right candidate with a unique blend of in-depth research; using evidence to inform policy-influencing and campaigns; and engaging experts by experience. It is ideal for someone who has experience of research and data analysis, but is interested in centering the lived experience of women and girls, alongside the front-line experience of our members, to develop insights for change.

Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS) is the only registered UK charity dedicated to improving care, treatment, and support for those affected by nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing
- Develop and deliver a marketing strategy to support fundraising, paid-for services and general awareness-raising goals.
- Manage and optimise digital marketing channels, including the website, social media, and email platforms.

4. Corporate Partnerships
- Identify and approach potential corporate partners, creating tailored sponsorship packages.

- Work with the team to deliver joint campaigns and partnership initiatives.
5. Supporting Major Donor and Grant Fundraising
- Assist the CEO in researching and preparing proposals for grants, trusts, and high-value donors.

6. Collaboration with the Support & Fundraising Coordinator

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.
We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in psychiatric hospitals across Hertfordshire.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Kingfisher Court or Albany Lodge and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Kingfisher Court staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 10 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patient’s homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive referrals from the ward teams at Kingfisher Court, Albany Lodge and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- Provide practical and emotional support to encourage patients to develop their independence within their local community.
- Facilitate a smooth discharge from hospital back to the community.

The Move 8 Week Young People’s Programme has experienced remarkable growth, with referrals increasing by 109% between 2021/22 and 2023/24. To meet the growing demand while maintaining high standards, we are recruiting a Cancer Rehab Specialist Lead.
This role is critical to overseeing the delivery, development, and impact of the MOVE 8 Week Young People's Programme. As the team lead, you will manage Cancer Rehab Specialists and a team of freelancers. You'll aslso be working in collaboration with your line manager to drive innovation, patnerships, and excellence and have your own caseload of young people.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and manage the Cancer Rehab Specialist and a pool of freelancers delivering aspects of the programme.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing guidance, performance management, and professional development for the team.
Direct Support to Participants
- Provide one-on-one support to young people with a focus on physical activity and wellbeing.
- Develop MOVE’s support for 13-30 year olds following Proton Beam Therapy, and building relationships with key stakeholders and Health Care Professionals.
- Ensure participants receive tailored support, including one-to-one sessions and resources to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
- Work alongside your line manager to monitor participant outcomes and satisfaction, using data insights to continually improve service delivery.
Partnerships, Advocacy and systems change
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organisations, and other key stakeholders to support young people and raise awareness on the benefits of physical activity.
- Advocate the benefits of physical activity during and after cancer treatment at professional events and conferences.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to embed physical activity in cancer care pathways, planning and delivering workshops to contribute towards this.
Programme Development and Growth
- Develop and implement innovative improvements to the 8 Week Programme based on participant feedback and best practices in cancer rehabilitation, for example by managing and refining referral processes to reduce waiting times and improve participant experiences.
- Work with your line manager to design and implement scalable systems and processes to support sustainable growth of the programme.
- Embed equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles in all activities, ensuring accessibility for underserved and diverse communities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align the programme with organisational goals and secure funding opportunities.
Impact Evaluation and Reporting
- Work with the Programme Coordinator to oversee the collection and analysis of relevant data to evaluate the programme’s effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with your line manager to write reports for stakeholders, funders, and senior leadership, highlighting achievements and demonstrating impact.
- Identify participant stories and successes to share with the marketing and communications team.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Cancer Rehab Level 4 Training or equivalent
- Proven experience leading teams, including freelancers or contractors, in a health, cancer care, or rehabilitation context.
- Strong understanding of the role of physical activity in cancer rehabilitation and recovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing diverse stakeholders.
- Organisational skills to support multiple aspects of programme delivery and team management effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, solve problems, and drive service improvements.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, with experience working with underserved communities.
- Cocreating with young people
Desirable Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in cancer rehabilitation, health promotion, or a related field.
- Experience in managing budgets and contributing to funding applications or grants.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and data protection regulations.

MOVE Benefits
Salary: £34,000 (pro rata)
Contract: 1 Year Part-Time (4 days per week) with potential to extend
Location: Remote, with occasional travel for events, workshops and meetings (Please note that this role is only available for applicants with the right to work in the UK)
The post is subject to a six months’ probationary period. We understand the importance of a work-life balance and respect individual needs.
