Outward is a London based charity and is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the management of a respite service in Tower Hamlets.

You will be working closely with family carers, professionals and borough wide services to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay and that each person’s needs are met.
The respite service supports about 80 adults with learning disabilities and autism to have overnight stays at each year. This newly renovated 7 bed service provides support to people from the borough who have a vast range of support needs. Positioned next to the open space of Victoria Park and all the opportunities that London has to offer, guests enjoy a range of activities both in house and in the community.

About You
· Experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs or behaviours of concern is essential
· You will have experience of staff management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team, ensuring staff are appropriately trained. You will be visible in the service and strive to model best practice and inspire support workers.
· A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 12 months of employment is essential.
· You will be an excellent communicator liaising effectively with key stakeholders including the multi-disciplinary and health professionals, family carers and people we support.
· You will be able to think creatively and be adaptable in approaches, with experience of implementing emergency management guidance to support staff.
· Experience of carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans and be committed to include the person, and their circle of support at all times.
· A commitment to providing high quality, personalised active support
· Leading by example, you will uphold the rights of people we support to be involved at all levels of decision making.
· You will share our values and passion to engage, enable and empower people with autism or a learning disability to lead the lives they want.

The role will provide valuable exposure to working with standards systems and partners in business and government to catalyse global efforts on critical social, economic, and environmental sustainability issues. ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet. Our Innovations workstreams explore and pilot new solutions to operational and strategic challenges sustainability standards face. The position will be critical to the coordination of projects and engagement with ISEAL members on system innovation working on sustainability topics such as human rights, living wage, gender, farmer livelihoods and sustainable landscapes.
The coordinator will be part of this journey of peer-to-peer learning, pilot testing, and discovery. The role will collaborate with different ISEAL teams and be in contact with ISEAL Community Member / partner organisations, making this an excellent opportunity to learn about a wide range of initiatives.
To be considered for this role, you will enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks related to an area of specialist knowledge and will thrive on learning more about topics related to sustainability standards. Having gained a good level of work experience, you are familiar with project administration, research or analysis, stakeholder engagement and communications. You are keen to provide all-round assistance to several exciting ISEAL projects. The position will be based in ISEAL’s Impacts and Innovations team.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Project support
- Contribute to outreach to project stakeholders, Community Members, partners & event attendees, answering and directing queries and scheduling appointments and virtual/ in-person meetings
- Organise meeting logistics, agenda preparation, outreach and speaker coordination, notetaking, and the tracking and implementation of follow up actions and communications
- Support delivery of virtual, hybrid, and in person meetings, provide technical support during Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings, operate other engagement tools (e.g. EasyRetro, Miro, Jamboard, etc)
- Carry out background research, review documents, and gather and analyse information using templates and tools such as Excel
- Coordinate project processes, including implementing procurement procedures, drafting contracts with consultants (based on ISEAL templates) and maintaining project-related systems
- Maintain web pages related to event and programme activities and support email and social media campaigns; upload blogs, documents, and resources
- Support drafting and production of relevant newsletters, website articles, and report sections
- Proof-read, edit, design, and format documents in Word and Powerpoint, using ISEAL templates
General
- Provide support to senior project leads in coordination tasks, grant management and stakeholder engagement
- Assist in promoting best practice in use of IT, communications and knowledge management systems within projects, and support efforts to help bring about improvements
- Provide ad hoc support to organisation-wide initiatives, if needs arise

Essential attributes, skills & knowledge
- Experience working in a project or research/analysis support role in a highly collaborative environment such as an international NGO
- Understanding of sustainability systems and how they work to help deliver change; strong interest in social issues such as: human rights, gender equality, and decent work.
- Experience and comfort working with subject matter of a niche or specialist nature, possibly gained through research, project coordination or management, and/or the review and analysis of data sets, academic research, technical reports, and policy documents
- Strong organisational skills, and experience with administration, meeting coordination, logistics, contracts, budget tracking, etc.
- Confidence in communications with peers and external partners, strong interpersonal skills and comfortable in public speaking situations (e.g. webinars, workshops etc)
- Excellent time management and ability to organise multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently with precision and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English, with proven ability to write clearly and concisely on a range of topics
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a largely remote, international environment, including regular international time-zone calls

ISEAL is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and well-organised individual to join as an Assistant in our Impacts and Innovations team. The role will provide thoughtful administrative support, leading to valuable exposure to the world of sustainability standards, to the operations of ISEAL’s Innovations Fund, and to the field of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL).
ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet. ISEAL’s Impact and Innovations workstreams explore new solutions to operational and strategic challenges sustainability standards face. The ISEAL Innovations Fund provides funding for ISEAL Community Members to pilot innovative and collaborative solutions that strengthen the effectiveness and credibility of their systems and offer solutions to sustainability issues such as climate mitigation, poverty reduction, and the detection of human rights violations.
To understand our impact, ISEAL tracks and analyses the successful and unsuccessful Innovations Fund grant applications, the engagement of community members and external partners in our work, and the system improvements and innovations that community members adopt. This role will support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and communications activities of the Innovations Fund and other ISEAL workstreams.
To be considered for this role, you should be comfortable carrying out multiple activities concurrently and enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks with different colleagues and teams. You have a strong interest in learning more about topics related to sustainability standards and are eager to expand your knowledge and skillset by working on a range of activities.
Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:
Tracking and analysis of data and information
- Upload and keep up to date grant, contact and event participant records on Monday com, Salesforce, Mailchimp, and other relevant systems
- Collect/extract data, statistics from Innovation Fund grants and unsuccessful applications to support in identification of key lessons and trends
- Maintain systems for tracking member engagement in ISEAL activities and for tracking improvements and innovations made by ISEAL community members
- Support the analysis of these and other databases, preparing data summaries, graphs and diagrams with Excel and other tools, and drafting presentations for internal learning and reporting
General administrative and coordination support
- Support project administration by maintaining project systems; assisting with meeting scheduling, note-taking, meeting follow up; and supporting procurement and contract management
- Proof-read, edit, design, and format documents in Word and Powerpoint, using ISEAL templates
- Support organisation, speaker outreach, and event logistics for webinars and working groups on various topics, including tech support with platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams
- Support the Innovation Fund team with monitoring and tracking communication with grantees and grantee compliance with timelines and guidelines
Communications and platform management
- Prepare project communication materials (information sheets, powerpoint slides, and website content)
- Support with drafting project updates and producing analyses of project results to be used in newsletters, on ISEAL social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn), and in donor reporting
- Liaise with colleagues to keep content on relevant pages on the ISEAL internal platform and ISEAL website updated
- Coordinate with ISEAL communications and membership teams to promote relevant content (e.g., Innovation Fund funding opportunities, and project updates, outputs, and learning)
Other
- Provide background research and information gathering support as required

Experience, Knowledge and Attribute

The supporter experience manager will help to ensure all Breast Cancer Now supporters have brilliant experiences with us. About Us:
Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing. We provide in person and online activity groups and programmes, alternative provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision. We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving well over 400 beneficiaries a year.
All our work is firmly rooted in a ‘positive peer approach’, providing an enjoyable, pressure-free and beneficiary-centred space for connecting with others and exploring interests and hobbies in a place they can truly be themselves. It’s an exciting time for an experienced Service Manager to join us and lead on the delivery and development of our new services for both perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse across Birmingham and the Black Country.
Initially your focus will be on establishing and promoting our recently set up Choose2Change behaviour change programme and delivering the OPCC funded Pathways to Change Project for perpetrators of domestic abuse in Sandwell, working closely with other partners and ensuring that targets are met. Flexibility in working hours to meet service needs and manage risk or safety concerns is needed and some evening hours may be required. As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe. The Executive Assistant will be a vital team member, providing critical, executive administrative support to enable the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team to operate effectively. The duties associated with the role will evolve significantly as SteelWatch evolves. The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
The role is focused on supporting the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team on a number of tasks, not limited to:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Work environment: The work is mainly remote, although some face-to-face meetings are essential, within Europe. Working hours are flexible. Travel will be required to collaborate with allies and meet the team in person.
Terms and salary: The role is expected to be long-term and managed via an Employer of Record. The initial contract will be for 12 months, if feasible, within local employment regulations. While we envision this as a full-time role, we are open to other options (minimum 60% unless a job share). ISEAL´s Innovations Fund is a central component of our work to catalyse innovations that improve the effectiveness and deepen the impacts of market-based approaches to sustainability. This is an exciting role to support the development of a learning agenda and value proposition for the Fund as well as producing relevant communications and reports.
First launched in 2016, the Fund supports innovative projects by ISEAL Community Members to help sustainability systems deliver more value to their stakeholders and effectively drive sustainability improvement on the ground, over time, and at scale. The Fund provides grants that enable recipients to develop and test new technologies and approaches, while drawing out cross-project learning to share with the wider sustainability community.
The Associate Manager will work closely with grantees to improve the ways learning is extracted from the projects. - Develop and maintain an overall learning agenda for the Fund, and support Fund and programme team on its delivery

Please note that ISEAL will cover travel expenses for in person interviews for candidates travelling from outside of Greater London. ISEAL also covers caring expenses for candidates who are carers and need to arrange of cover for the duration of the interview/exercises.
