The role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be the Head of Public Fundraising (maternity contract) at Pancreatic Cancer UK!
You will have overall responsibility for a high-performing and passionate team of 27 incredible fundraisers with a gross income target of £10.3m for FY24/25 and play a key role in enabling them to continue on their successful upward trajectory of income growth.
Excitingly you will also be leading the newly formed London Marathon Charity of the Year project team and work alongside the Head of Engagement, Marketing and Communications to be successful in delivering a transformational partnership for the 2025 TCS London Marathon.
In this role you will be able to be part of a truly transformational organisation that is going through an exciting period of growth and change, making a real difference and giving people with pancreatic cancer more than hope.
The role offers flexible working, with one day a week required in the London office. Condensed hours are also offered and the role can be worked across either 10 days in 9 or 5 days in 4. The role has the added benefit of the support of a Team Administrator for diary and inbox management.
About You

Proven experience of managing multi-million pound budgets and effective allocation of resources to ensure the best ROI.

Role summary

Project management
- Produce and execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns to support the fundraising and communications objectives of the charity
- Use Mailchimp to produce and manage a programme of targeted supporter communications
- Use analytics tools to report on and analyse the effectiveness of Magpas Air Ambulance's digital activity and identify opportunities to improve and develop
- Use experience and insight to plan and implement effective digital advertising strategies to support the fundraising teams to meet income targets with a particular focus on Facebook advertising
- Manage, moderate and develop digital community groups to support the execution and fundraising of virtual and in-person fundraising events
- Manage third-party fundraising platforms
- Update and maintain fundraising pages on the website and third-party sites, including the creation of new pages and ensuring existing pages are always kept up to date
- Support with the management and development of the organisation’s social media platforms
- Provide assistance to Supporter Care to ensure excellent stewardship of donors and supporters particularly in relation to digital channels
Data management and reporting
- Working with the data team to ensure the accurate and timely import and export of donor data and that supporter records are always up to date
- Work with the data team to select, segment and clean data for fundraising activity
- Use campaign data to track and report on effectiveness of activity, attrition and inform decision making and future planning
- Produce and analyse audience data to inform creative decisions and identify opportunities to improve engagement
- Produce and circulate campaign information documents to update internal colleagues on activity and end of campaign reports
Planning and reporting
- Plan, execute and analyse digital campaigns and make evidence-based recommendations to inform future activities
- Produce audience and campaign data to provide insight into activity and produce monthly activity reports. Benchmark Magpas Air Ambulance's digital marketing and fundraising activity against sector and industry averages where possible
- Research new digital tools to streamline processes whilst providing excellent supporter care
- Work with the database team and supporter care to ensure that digital supporters and activity is correctly tracked and managed through the digital journey
- Remain informed and up to date on the latest digital fundraising developments and use information to contribute to planning and developing activity
- Research and support the application for funding to develop and improve Magpas Air Ambulance's digital fundraising and engagement capability
About you
- Proven experience of working on digital marketing/advertising campaigns to achieve income targets across email and social media channels
- Experience of using an email delivery system such as Mailchimp, Dot Digital, Pardot etc.
- Knowledge and experience of using GA4
- Proven ability to manage relationships with third-party suppliers including creative agencies, printers and fulfilment house
- Proven ability to work closely with internal teams including Communications, Supporter Care and Finance department

The job
We’re looking for someone to wear two hats.
The first hat you’ll wear is that of a client lead. You’ll have full responsibility for the clients and projects that you and your team are working on. The next you could be working with a not-for-profit, leading the creation of their brand identity, marketing strategy and overseeing the launch of their new website.
We’re on the hunt for a seasoned communications strategist and a creative campaigner. You’ll be someone who feels at home bringing your knowledge and experience to any communications challenge: from campaign strategy to brand strategy, from policy communications to digital marketing.
You should be a creative thinker, a problem solver, and someone who knows how to run projects profitably – and grow client relationships at the same time. You’ll be able to build relationships quickly, with clients and colleagues. You’ll spot mistakes, tactfully ask difficult questions, and tell us and our clients how to improve things.
The second hat you’ll wear is that of a new business lead. You’ll work with the CEO, Head of Strategy and other colleagues to identify, respond to, and win new business opportunities. We’re looking for someone who has directly relevant experience here – so you’ll have had experience in new business for an agency or consultancy, or have supported that function.
You’ll have experience responding to RFPs (and hopefully winning them – definitely tell us if you have a good hit rate), you’ll be excited by the idea of travelling abroad to give presentations to prospects and convert them to clients, and you’ll have ideas about how we can improve our marketing to generate more inbound leads. Where some see new business efforts as taxing and draining, you’ll be energised by it, and see new business as a game that is fun to play, and win.
Key skills and experience
The core things we are looking for are:
- Minimum 6 years experience, with at least three years in an equivalent agency setting
- Have communications expertise in creating stories, shaping narratives and social/policy campaigns and/or public affairs
- Experience and expertise in brand communications and/or strategy development
- Ability to produce creative and engaging communication materials: reports, websites, social media and print

Thought leadership
- Write thought leadership articles for the CFC website, at least once per quarter, ideally one a month promoting our thinking and best practices
- Participate in CFC training and knowledge sharing (webinars etc.)
- Attend events and conferences on behalf of the company
New business & sales
- Identify and respond to appropriate RFPs; lead pitch approaches

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST

MAIN DUTIES
The Services Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

For almost 40 years Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC) has been the focal organisation for holding data on wildlife sightings, types of habitats and geological information for Somerset.
This is an exciting time for SERC as we drive forward in a mission to have at least 30% of land managed positively for nature by 2030 (30 x 30). We are looking for an experienced and ambitious manager to implement the strategy and grow and manage the SERC Team, whilst positioning SERC as the ‘go to’ ecological data evidence provider for an increasing range of stakeholders in the county.
Job Description – Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Strategy and Business Development:
The SERC Manager will be part of the Operational Management Team of the Somerset Wildlife Trust, supporting the Senior Leadership Team through clear strategy and business development by:
- Developing and overseeing the strategic growth, business planning and operational management of SERC.
- Ensuring SERC is financially sustainable and growing by seeking income generating opportunities to develop SERC business, identifying additional markets and services, and developing and implementing a Business Plan.

Responsibility 1: Data Analysis and Services
Manage a robust data collection and interpretation service by:

- Developing and applying Local Records Centre protocols and policies, meeting the requirements of data users and providers, as well as professional codes of conduct and the promotion of national standards, through achieving ALERC accreditation.
- Keeping abreast of and contributing to political and technical developments in biodiversity data management and make presentations of SERC’s work and national policy development to appropriate audiences.
- Receiving and resolving complaints and representations about SERC services from data users and providers.

Responsibility 3: Develop though Advocacy, Influence and Delivery
Be a specialist and nurture strong relationships by:
- Developing excellent relationships with national and local recording communities and support them to contribute high quality useful data that informs an evidence-led strategy to improve Somerset’s natural environment.
- Coordinating the SERC Executive Group to deliver and monitor an effective strategy for the Records Centre that provides usable data for planners, Service Level Agreement holders and working with Somerset Wildlife Trust, in the provision of a conservation strategy for the county.
- Setting data access parameters to secure the SERC business model while making data as open access as possible.
- Developing secure funding and commercial income streams, and manage SERC project-based work, meeting the aims of an agreed Business Plan and Somerset Wildlife Trust’s strategy.

About Victoria Hall Harrow
The Victoria Hall Harrow charity started in 1888, with the aim of building a high quality venue for the people of Harrow to come together and to build community. Since then our venue Victoria Hall has been rebuilt twice, most recently reopening to the public in Summer 2021. We also created a new charity some years back (a CIO), transferring the assets of the old charity over. You will work closely with the Business Analyst and CRM Business Change Manager, evaluating processes, creating documentation, helping to write test scripts, report and monitor bug fixes while supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and helping to implement best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of our CRM platform.
Key Responsibilities
· Aid in the creation of functional, technical or test documentation.
· Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues during UAT, and offer solutions to enhance user proficiency.

- Produce member newsletters promoting corporate partner services and ACEVO's job services.
- Identify and support corporate partner venues, managing related admin with the events team.
- Represent ACEVO professionally at internal and external events.
- Manage and drive revenue to ACEVO Jobs, our recruitment advertising platform.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in corporate partnerships, account management, or new business development.
- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence.
- Proficiency in CRM systems; Salesforce experience is desirable.
- Excellent customer service, administrative, and organisational skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work on your own initiative.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving specialist to join the Fundraising & Partnerships Team at the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
Our fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.
As a Fundraising & Partnership team we build internal and external relationships to secure financial support to bring to life our collections, care for our objects, engage with young people, fund our capital projects and underpin our core costs.
We do this by sharing the passion of our colleagues; appreciating and sharing our collective experience, knowledge and skills; and advocating about how the NMRN positively impacts local economies, visitors and the wider public understanding of the Royal Navy.
When our team excels we help to deliver NMRN’s vision of becoming the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum, linking Navy to Nation, and inspiring enjoyment and engagement with the story of the Royal Navy and its role in shaping both our nation and the modern world.
We’re now seeking an Individual Giving Lead to drive forward our work in this fundraising strand and exploit NMRN’s investment in brand, audience development and CRM.
Key Opportunities
* Growing our individual giving programme with a particular focus on regular giving, major appeals, capital projects, adopt-an-object, and exploring opportunities through content and gaming.
* Developing and implementing a major donor and mid-level giving programme.
* Working with the Customer Relationship Manager and Web Lead use our data to build supporter and donor journeys.
* Collaborating with the Communications and Content team to drive individual giving opportunities through content on NMRN’s digital channels, as well as those of partners.
* Creating a legacy giving programme that raises awareness of the importance of legacy and gift-in-will bequest and results in an increased number of pledges.
* Working in tandem with the Corporate & New Business Partnership Lead to develop a payroll giving scheme.

Knowledge/Experience
We are scaling up our work so we are expanding our team with talented, motivated, and ambitious individuals who want to contribute to helping us become the world’s most inspiring naval museum, to do this you will be a highly motivated individual who is cheerful, personable and equally content with writing strategies as doing the underpinning work.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence their ability to:
* grow, coordinate, and implement regular giving
* generate donations that support major appeals / campaigns
* writing compelling cases-for-support and donor communications
* establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
* develop, communicate, and execute initiatives and effective pragmatic solutions
* work with others to develop effective and targeted email marketing using CRM data
* develop stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors
