In the Community Manager role, you will focus on building offerings and opportunities that support our UK Fellows to accelerate and sustain their impact. Your day-to-day work will range from listening and talking with Fellows to delivery of events and initiatives. The role is full of autonomy and creativity, and we are looking for a self-starter who has experience building communities and delivering impactful communications. 

You will report to the UK Programme Director and work closely with the UK Programme Manager and Acumen Academy's global community & marketing teams.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Build & manage relationships with UK Fellows to understand their needs and inform our support strategy

• Design & deliver engagement and communications initiatives e.g. Fellows newsletters, regular and tailored touch-points

• Understand & facilitate value-add connections and opportunities e.g. connections to mentors, experts, funders 

• Design & deliver community initiatives that extend connection, knowledge and skills e.g. running in-person events, online workshops

• Design & deliver engaging communication campaigns that amplify and elevate the impact of Fellows e.g. writing case studies, blog posts, social media, public newsletters

• Track & evaluate the engagement and effectiveness of support initiatives e.g. feedback loops, data collection, impact reporting

• Build & manage partnerships with external partners e.g. event partners, media outlets

• Work in partnership with Acumen Academy’s global community and marketing teams to extend global opportunities, share learning and create consistent messaging

Qualifications and skills:

• You have a strong track record of delivering community initiatives that engage and bring value to an audience e.g. in-person events, online workshops, mentorship programmes

• You are a strong written communicator who takes pride in creating content that tells an impactful story - and can point to a portfolio of newsletters, blog posts, and case studies

• You are always using data to learn and refine, and people often tell you that you have a strong eye for detail

• You are a highly organised self-starter who turns ideas into action with an ability to manage competing priorities across a range of different tasks

• You have a strong track record of building relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders - such as charity and social enterprise CEOs, global colleagues, corporate partners

• You have experience designing and executing public events online and in-person

The role

Our key priorities at FareShare UK are to grow the food volumes accessible to the charities and community groups we support across the UK. Food partners (manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers, packers, catering providers, producers and others) are pivotal in helping us to meet these priorities, providing access to food and many other strategic resources. This crucial role will focus on working with our top food partners to maximise the mutual value in the relationship through strategic and structured account management. Our ability to meet growing demand and retain our leading position in the food redistribution landscape will be heavily influenced by the success you have in this role.

You will be the direct account lead for some of the biggest food accounts in the UK and you will lead part of the Food Partnership Team for managing and engaging new business relationships to drive and grow food and funding from top food partners.

As part of this role, you will lead the transition to a tiered and structured strategic account management approach of all top partners. Coordinating colleagues in the food team and other FareShare teams: FareShare Go, Marketing, Fundraising, Network Operations and Volunteering teams to ensure that top partners get an excellent service. You will work with the top food partners and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate identification of activities, and monitoring of progress, benefits and evaluation.

You will help identify and overcome the barriers to food redistribution and increase the volumes of foods available to FareShare from food partners and their wider supply chains.

Working with marketing and relevant teams you will develop sales materials to open opportunities for more food and other resources from top partners.

You will lead new business development for FareShare Go and work closely with the FareShare Go operations team to mutually agreed objectives. You will support the team to develop new opportunities to deliver the FareShare Go service to food partners including meeting tenders and developing compelling propositions for partners.

 Main areas of responsibility

Business Development and Relationship Management

• Support the senior Leadership team by implementing and driving FareShare’s strategy to deliver the services that our top food partners want now and in the future.
• Develop sales and tender materials to win new and grow current business for increased food, funds and other strategic resource.

The Community Engagement team at Trees for Cities leads activities for thousands of adults and children to participate in our Urban Forest tree planting programme that aims to plant, promote, and protect trees. This role will join other Community Engagement Coordinators and the Community Engagement Manager in working closely with the Youth and Schools Engagement, Urban Forest, and Marketing and Communications teams to deliver multiple, overlapping projects with diverse London communities.

We are looking for energetic and organised individuals to support and coordinate our community engagement activities for urban forest projects and initiatives. This involves planning, delivering, and reporting back on community consultations, educational workshops, public tree-planting events and other activities.
The role is public-facing, so we are looking for confident and adaptable communicators who are comfortable engaging residents in a range of communities, schools, and interest groups and are passionate about what we do at Trees for Cities.

This role accommodates hybrid working for days that do not involve practical on-site, office work or in person meetings. Generally, this works out to 2 WFH days per week.

Main Purpose

This role is an exciting opportunity for you to play a leading role in the development and delivery of our new membership strategy. You will understand membership dynamics and ensure members experience a personalised approach that guarantees value to them.

The Role

The Individual Giving Manager will play a vital role in fundraising activities to support our mission of providing care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As the Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage individual donors and supporters, cultivating meaningful relationships, and maximising their financial contributions.

• To create and execute strategies to cultivate and grow individual giving income, including donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship programmes.

• To coordinate all aspects of direct mail appeals and online fundraising to maximise donor engagement and revenue generation.
• To utilise Raiser's Edge database to track donor interactions, segment audiences, and analyse fundraising performance to inform decision-making.

• To work closely with the Digital Fundraising Manager and Marketing team to develop campaign objectives, messaging, stewardship plans and marketing strategies.
• To set up and undertake monitoring and evaluation reporting to assess campaign performance against agreed objectives and ensure these insights inform future decision making.
• To lead on the Local Hospice Lottery, including strategic aspects of the Lottery to drive the growth of membership, monitoring membership progress and trends, and to resolve issues with the general public with regards to complaints

Income & Business Development Manager

£40-42k, 37.5 hours per week, Thornton (L23).

St. Joseph's Hospice Merseyside is the oldest and largest hospice on Merseyside, providing specialized end-of-life care for patients with a wide range of life-limiting conditions. The hospice's 31-bed Inpatient Unit is located in a beautiful setting within a conservation area and 12 acres of natural woodland in Thornton, Merseyside. The hospice's specialist healthcare teams care for over 200 patients and their families from across Liverpool, Sefton, and West Lancashire every year. Our services are free to our patients and it costs around £10k per day to run the hospice. 

With the changing horizon of Fundraising, this is a new role for the hospice and pivotal to our future income generation activity for the Charity. The Income & Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds and secure partnerships for the hospice. They will lead the existing Hospice fundraising team, identify new sources of income, build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters, and manage fundraising events.

Role requirements

• Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder and donor relationships
