St Germain’s Wellbeing (SGW) was established in 2020 as a community-based mental health service aiming to equip people to self-manage their mental health issues. Now an independent charity, SGW has become one of the main mental health referral points for GP-based social prescribers throughout Birmingham and North Solihull. Each year we support around a thousand service users using evidence-based interventions.
As the Service Manager and Lead Practitioner, you will manage a dedicated service delivery team of staff and volunteers, training new Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners and collaborating with the CEO on recruitment. Your role will also involve direct service delivery, conducting one-to-one sessions, facilitating group workshops, and managing weekly drop-in support.
In addition to service delivery, you will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of interventions, ensuring outcomes are accurately recorded and reported to funders. You will also serve as the internal safeguarding lead, maintaining and developing policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service users.
You will work collaboratively with the CEO, Board of Trustees and St Germain’s Church to integrate the mental health service within the church’s holistic community provision, fostering strong partnerships with local referral agents and promoting the service to generate engagement.

Role Summary
Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-planned. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels, and play a key role in developing content with people who want to share their own experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm. Communications and content
1. Support the Senior Communications Manager to develop year-round content strategies and planning
2. Create clear copy for a range of channels (including website, emails, social media) which influences and motivates audiences to take action and support Alcohol Change UK’s work
3. Ensure all communications are well-framed, on-message and fit with our brand guidelines
4. Lead on our monthly newsletter, developing, writing and scheduling on Mailchimp, and using reports and insights to think creatively about how to engage our audiences effectively
5. Play a coordinating role for the organisation’s wider email communications, collaborating with colleagues from other departments to ensure regular engagement emails are on message, and on brand
Website maintenance and development
1. Create clear, well-written content for our website – particularly focusing on engaging Information and Advice content
2. Make regular updates to website content, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
3. Ensure ongoing implementation of our Search Engine Optimisation and accessibility best practices
4. Support the Senior Communications Manager with annual planning and implementation of improved user journeys and experiences
5. Act as a champion for the website, developing relationships with colleagues from across the organisation to support new projects, content and campaigns across the site
Enabling people to share their experiences
1. Empathetically and respectfully work with individuals to share their stories, creating a wide range of content (blogs, quotes and case studies) to be used flexibly across Alcohol Change UK’s channels
2. Follow up leads for people who want to share their experiences publicly
3. Utilise our CRM system to manage relationships and coordinate content by themes
4. Support colleagues from all teams to include impactful personal experiences, bringing our content and campaigns to life
Team support
1. Monitor team inboxes including dryjanuary@ and contact@ ensuring great customer service and that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion
2. Complete monthly team KPI reports, with a specific focus on email and website engagement data, providing analysis for optimisation throughout the year 8
3. As required, support the Behaviour Change team with Facebook Community Group monitoring, completing slots on the agreed team rota
4. Provide ad-hoc support to the Digital team with social media monitoring and responses as required
Cross-organisational Role
1. Work closely with colleagues across the Communications team and wider charity to support their work and to act as ‘one team’

Other Duties
1. Continually develop your knowledge of alcohol harm and solutions to it

Support through campaign periods
The post holder will be expected to support the team with additional tasks through our busiest period from November-January. All members of the communications team are expected to work at times during the Christmas and New Year period, including bank holidays. A rota system is in place and Time of in Lieu is provided for additional hours worked.

About the role
Sightsavers Ghana office is currently seeking a Programme Manager to implement, develop, design, and monitor in country projects. The Programme Manager will also identify and contribute to programme growth and development in collaboration with partners and colleagues.
The Programme Manager duties include;
- Supporting partners by providing technical advice and expertise on the core thematic areas of Sightsavers work and give guidance to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
- Support the development and implementation of country advocacy plans in line with projects and represent Sightsavers at the appropriate forums with partners and stakeholders.
- Lead on partnership assessment initiatives and develop a coherent plan of partner capacity building, and support project officers in the implementation of those plans.
- Oversee the work of the Programme Officers to manage all aspects of the project cycle including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure project documentation and reporting is of a high quality and meets donor/compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all aspects of the programme are effectively monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis and that learning is systematically used to continuously improve all projects and programmes, in country and share across the organisation.
- Work collaboratively with Senior Programme Manager and finance colleagues to monitor project budget and expenditure, advising on financial trends and to support the strengthening of partner financial capacity.
- Lead the programme team to develop a plan for the office which reflects country and organizational priorities and deadlines and use this to ensure effective ongoing programme delivery.
- Support the Senior Programme Manager to contributes individual and country learning/ experience into broader organisational learning and policy development.
- Support the country team in developing a system for monitoring and evaluating country programme portfolio performance.
- Provide direction and support to assist country research teams and help them to identify operational research opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of NTD elimination efforts, prevention of avoidable blindness and visual impairment as well as promoting social inclusion issues.
- Assist project teams and country Ministries of Health in disseminating information on social inclusion and NTD activities, studies, research and lessons learned at national and international level.

Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing. We provide in person and online activity groups and programmes, alternative provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision. We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving well over 400 beneficiaries a year.

To support this, we are recruiting for a new programme manager to grow our programmes and contracts in Kent. Our Kent area covers prisons including HMP East Sutton Park, HMP Rochester, HMP Standford Hill with two days per weeks as a Prison Facilitator at HMP Elmley. Working closely with people in prison, prison managers, Shannon Trust staff and volunteers you will ensure development of our criminal programmes maximising literacy and numeracy learning opportunities for people across a number of prisons and contracts in your area. Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings, managing teams and contract performance, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. This is a prison based role and also requires travel across the Kent area.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Research, the Research Manager will manage the Stroke Association’s research funding activities and portfolio of active research awards. This includes developing research funding calls, overseeing the research awards application and review processes, to support high quality, strategically aligned research, focused on delivering the greatest impact for people affected by stroke.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a small team, including Research Officer and Operations Assistant, and will oversee the day-to-day administration of ongoing awards including finances, reviewing change requests and reporting.

Purpose and Scope of the Role
The Refugee & Migrant Centre (RMC) are renowned for our work in assisting refugees and migrants through crisis and disadvantage; we remove barriers to integration and help our clients to become equal citizens. RMC are seeking a forward-thinking candidate who will be responsible for ensuring an excellent human resources service to the organisation including advice on complex employment matters, effective employee relations, recruitment, policies and procedures and ensuring that fair and consistent practices are followed in relation to all employment matters. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Strategy
· Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in ensuring strategic workforce planning and change management in alignment with RMC’s overall strategy.
· The post holder must have a proven track record in managing complex HR issues such as grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence and other HR matters and be able to support managers in building effective working relationships.
Service Management
· Leading the provision of a comprehensive human resources service to ensure that we are recruiting the best employees and volunteers and supporting them to deliver outstanding services and other positive change for refugees and migrants.
· Managing RMC’s Human Resources in line with relevant service standards, key performance indicators and the human resources budget, ensuring robust plans are in place but also flexibility to cope with new needs, as they arise.
· Advising the SLT (CEO, Deputy CEO and Head of Services) and other senior managers on human resources matters and ensure all people managers in the organisation have the necessary skills and support to address complex employment issues e.g. in relation to sickness, performance and disciplinary and grievance processes.
· Leading on ensuring that all human resources policies and processes are adequate and reviewed regularly.
· Overseeing RMC’s performance management framework and advise senior managers on any remedial actions required.
· Ensuring timely and accurate workforce information is available as required for trustees, senior managers and the Finance team (e.g. for payroll purposes).
· Actively contribute to RMC’s evaluation process and participating in salary appeal panels and salary benchmarking exercises, and providing advice to senior managers on any salary-related matters.
Learning and Development
· Ensuring the People and Human Resources team provides the best possible learning and development opportunities for RMC employees and monitoring compliance with mandatory training (including data protection, health & safety, and safeguarding).
· Coordinate existing and potential learning and development opportunities.
Culture and Staff-Wellbeing
· Overseeing initiatives to promote the wellbeing of staff, including volunteers, being mindful of the impacts on them of working with marginalised members of society, and monitoring and supporting the wellbeing of staff.
· Managing staff satisfaction surveys, including analysis of results and working with the SLT to develop action plans in response to the results.
· Monitoring the diversity of staff and volunteers. Helping to ensure the existing broad diversity at the RMC is maintained and enriched further.

· Ensuring compliance by RMC with employment law and safeguarding obligations in relation to staff, including safe recruitment.
· Ensuring any personal data of staff, including volunteers, is kept in line with data protection regulations.

· Recognising the importance of taking care of own wellbeing and taking advantage of wellbeing initiatives offered by the organisation to our staff.

Person Specification
Experience and Skills
Desirable
- A CIPD diploma (Level 7) in HR management
- Experience of leading and managing staff teams.
- Experience of strategic planning and organisational change.

- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Considerable experience in a similar role, dealing with complex employment issues, safeguarding best practice and working successfully with other managers.
- Experience and expertise in day-to-day generalist HR which can be transferred to an ambitious charity, with a good grasp of the legislative frameworks and how to apply them in practice.
