You will be able to put your experience of adult education and learning into practice, by supporting the implementation of the Diocesan Strategy (Anti Racism Charter) through the establishment of a racial justice training pathway and the creation of racial justice resources that can be accessed and utilised across the Diocese by Diocesan staff, parishes, and schools.
This will include:
- Evaluating our current Unconscious Bias training programme and implement the lessons learned.
- Delivering racial justice training to parishes and Diocesan staff, particularly Unconscious Bias training.
- Develop the “Train the Trainers” approach and support the training of parish leaders and diocesan staff in becoming racial justice training trainers
- Identify training and resources needs for a variety of stakeholders
- Research and identify new models to be incorporated into a training pathway including in the areas of theology, power, privilege and prejudice.
- Liaise with other Dioceses and the National Church to learn from and seek best practice for racial justice training content and delivery.
- Work with other members of the department to establish a coordinated training programme that offers both face-to-face training and eLearning.
- Develop and maintain an evaluation process for training, including the development of impact indicators.
- Review existing racial justice resources and produce/commission the development of new resources that can be used both locally and national, such as toolkits, cultural occasional offices guide, liturgical resources and school-aged resources for young people and leaders.
- Be an advocate for Racial Justice within Diocesan structures, identifying and promoting best practice regarding racial justice, diversity, and inclusion.

About this role
The Programmes Team is responsible for delivering demand-led services globally; providing tailored capacity building support to organisations and their partners through individual or framework contracts. As Programme Officer, you will work closely with Hub members to ensure events, trainings, services, projects and programmes are delivered to an exceptionally high standard, on time and budget.
This role also includes support to the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning aspects of RedR UKs role, particularly in regards to climate change and engineering in emergencies.
The primary purpose of the role is to enable the delivery of RedR UK’s Ukraine Humanitarian Criss response programme in Ukraine and neighbouring countries (hereafter referred to as ‘the Programme’).
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Delivery of events, courses, services, projects, and programmes

Assistance in the delivery of the Hubs’ events, courses, services, projects, and programmes.

In cooperation with line manager and colleagues, plan and identify tasks, prioritise, and allocate them as needed.

Support the project coordinator in activities, tasks, milestone, or deliverable tracking.

Lead on agreed elements of events, courses, projects, or deliverables, including external and internal representations as required.

Ensure wide communication of events, preparing marketing information and advertising where required.

Proof-read training material as required, and ensure RedR UK brand guidelines are consistently applied.

Organise availability of equipment, refreshments, resources, travel, accommodation, props, vehicle and venue as required. Prepare welcome packs, name badges, signature lists, certificates and other resources as required and ensure these are in place for the relevant time of the event

Respond to trainer and participant requests during the event, as required

Support the delivery of online events and, if necessary, travel to events and provide direct support to trainers and participants at events.

Support the recruitment of external project staff, consultants and Associate Trainers, resource persons and actors including the production of Terms of Reference and ensuring the implementation of fair and transparent recruitment.

Be a point of contact for external project staff, consultants, Associate Trainers and participants where required, responding to queries and providing information and support

Coordinate scheduling, liaison with trainers and interpreters to enable delivery of the Programme.

Be the first point of contact for participant enquiries (particularly where in Ukrainian language).

Translate text and training promotional materials into Ukrainian, as required.

Collating and recording course statistics and evaluation data;

Aid Box Community (ABC) is a Bristol charity that provides hope, love and a sense of belonging to people seeking asylum in Bristol. The charity was started 7 years ago on the Refugee camps in France by a local mum and has grown and evolved to support over 5000 people a year through our Free Shop and Welcome Hub, Activity Groups and Trips and Connections Befriending program. We have 336 volunteers and a fantastic, small team and we are looking for a part time Finance Officer.
The job is for 15hrs a week ideally to be worked over 2 or 3 days Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Based at the ABC office, Portland Square, Bristol and some home working on agreement.
We are a small team, and you may be asked to do something outside of your Job Description and help support other members of the Aid Box team.
Job Description:
The Finance Officer will have a wide variety of financial management and control tasks from day to day bookkeeping to filing year end accounts. They will formally report to the Director of Strategy and liaise regularly with the Board Treasurer.
Role Overview
The Finance Officer is responsible for the smooth running of all day-to-day aspects of the financial management of Aid Box Community (ABC):

Provide a high quality and effective financial management and Bookkeeping service to the charity
-
Prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information and reports, including a standard suite of monthly reports and ad-hoc reports as required by the Charity
-
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters relevant to the Charity
-
Liaison with the external Auditor in preparing and getting approval and sign off of the annual statutory accounts
Key responsibilities:
The postholder will advise the charity on all matters relating to the finance of the organisation and provide management information for the Board of trustees. They will also be expected to contribute to future strategy, business planning, year-end accounts, monitoring of budgets and performance, and full adherence to al financial policies and procedures in accordance with the Finance Manual. Duties include:
Financial Management
Accountancy and Bookkeeping Systems
Maintenance of all accounting records on an ongoing basis to include:
· Manage all income and expenditure processing.
· Maintain and improve bookkeeping and accountancy systems (both computerised and manual) including:
- Bank reconciliations.
- Cash flow management.
- Income and grant analysis (restricted and designated funds).
- Bank receipts and payments.
- Purchase approval and recording processes.
Accounts payable
· Process purchase invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

Accounts Receivable
· Control and Monitoring of restricted funds including detailed records of spend allocation of funds and remaining balance.
· Accurately accounting for all income receipts monthly including donations from individuals and organisations and grants and claiming any appropriate Gift Aid.
Budgets
· Monitor the budget against actual and investigate any major variations in budget.
· Involvement in strategic and planning projections with the Director of Strategy.
Reports
Produce regular management information so that key officers and trustees know how well the charity is performing against its budget. To include:

Provide regular monthly management financial information (including financial highlights/budget against actual/restricted and unrestricted funds/fund movement summary/fund balances/balance sheet) for the Director of Strategy and Board of Trustees.

Quarterly financial reports for the Board of Trustees including detailed analysis of income and expenditure.

Assisting with fundraising applications and reports.
Annual Financial Audit

Liaising with the external accountants for Annual Financial Accounts and Annual Review preparation before presenting to the Board annually for approval alongside the Director of Strategy.

Filing Annual Return to the Charity Commission.
Bank and Treasury Management
-
Treasury management in connection with cash and investments held by the charity.

Manage cash flow and ensure that bank charges are kept to a minimum.
Fundraising
· Assisting with applications for funding ensuring that all grants, sponsorship and donations are paid on time and the financial conditions met.
Communication and Coordination
-
Ensure the efficient circulation of financial information as needed, including that required from external advisers, e.g., auditors.

Liaise with and advise the Director of Strategy and others as appropriate on all financial matters.

Liaise with and maintain a good working relationship with bankers, accountants, auditors and donors.

Liaise and maintain a good working relationship with volunteers, staff and Board of Trustees.

Attend staff and Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis.

Professional/Technical

Keep up to date with financial developments across the sector, changes in requirements for charity reporting and changes in legislation.

Experience, qualifications, and requirements
Qualified or part qualified Bookkeeper or with considerable experience in a similar role preferably in the charitable or not for profit sector

This role requires great attention to detail and excellent organisational skills preferably you will have financial management experience and experience of working and managing finances for a charity.

About this role
The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and business development Team at RedR. Their role is to work across all income streams within business development and fundraising, with a focus on running the business development and fundraising team’s day to day work, supporting the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in meeting BD and fundraising targets, draft high quality bids – particularly to institutional funders-, and nurturing relationships individual and corporate donors, as well as trusts and foundations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team, Project and Line Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer.

Ensure timely delivery of BD and fundraising projects and deadlines in coordination with teams across organisation

Oversee the management and maintenance of Salesforce and other software and applications.

Ensure accurate income consolidation and donation capturing.

Support the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in developing/updating and operationalising team strategies, budgets, systems, and processes.

Working for an independent book publisher, the Events and Communications Coordinator will be involved in the day to day running of publications and work with our editor and authors.

BACKGROUND
The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the survivors of trafficking and torture, including gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Recognising the complexity of each client’s suffering and needs, the Foundation provides specialist medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection and practical support to survivors of human rights violations by helping men, women and children heal the emotional and physical damage they have suffered through torture, trafficking or other forms of cruelty. Since August 2020, Asylum Aid has been part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group. Asylum Aid operates as an independent charity, led by its own Executive Director within the group structure, and is ambitious about growing its impact and reach in the future to ensure protection from persecution for those who need it. For over thirty years, Asylum Aid has been providing legal representation to some of the most vulnerable people seeking asylum. About the role

The Diocese of Guildford is seeking an experienced Finance Director, to make a real difference to the communities we serve by providing strategic financial leadership and financial sustainability for the diocese.
The Diocese of Guildford is the Church of England presence in most of Surrey and Northeast Hampshire and serves more than a million people. Led by Bishop, Rt Rev Andrew Watson, and Diocesan Secretary, Geraldine Newbold, we support 156 parishes, 83 church schools, over 200 stipendiary (paid) clergy and 117 authorised lay ministers. Our vision is of a Transforming Church Transforming Lives and is increasingly well-rooted in our parish communities, with churches, schools and community projects becoming more focused in what they believe God is calling them to do in our priority themes of, "growing disciples", "growing diversity" and "growing community".
Reporting to the Diocesan Secretary (our version of a CEO), you will lead the finance team to ensure that robust reporting and monitoring is in place to the highest standard, lead the preparation of our annual budget and financial forecasting, and oversee an annual income and expenditure of approx. £15m. As a key member of the leadership team, you will also play a critical role in broader strategic decision making, supporting, and advising the Diocesan Secretary in leading the Diocesan Board of Finance.
You will be:
· an experienced financial leader and a qualified member of a recognised accountancy professional body
· able to blend technical financial skills with a track record of strategic leadership.
· able to engage with board level stakeholders.
· sympathetic of the mission and values of the Church of England and have the ability to learn, where needed, the structures, procedures and drivers that govern life across the diocese.

Smart Works is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth. Over the past decade, Smart Works has given over 35,000 women the clothing and confidence they need to succeed.
Smart Works is a dynamic, high profile and fast-growing UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for success at job interview. After visiting Smart Works, the charity’s current quarterly data show that 63% of clients secure a job within a month, gaining financial independence and transforming their lives. Smart Works believes in fashion as a force for good and is proud of the joy and magic its service brings to the women they serve.
Building on these strong foundations, the incoming Chief Executive Officer will play an instrumental role in delivering its ambitions to double its reach from 5,000 to 10,000 women annually. They will lead the charity’s work across its eleven existing sites, and drive relevant expansion into other UK cities, supported via strategic fundraising, and partnership with relevant organisations and individuals. They will additionally represent the organisation at external functions and be an ambassador for the Smart Works services, raising the charity’s profile and maximising the impact for its client. We are looking for an experienced executive with a proven track record of delivering impactful change through exceptional leadership, with a specific interest for the empowerment of women.
