This role is key to ensuring efficient and effective financial management for their designated areas of the organisation (Business Units (BU)) by providing finance partnering to key managerial and senior internal stakeholders, ensuring that all financial planning, implementation and monitoring is robust and effective.

The Finance Business Partner holds a key position for the day-to-day provision of financial information for planning and control purposes. The role will provide ownership of the end-to-end processes necessary to take financial data and to report in a meaningful way back to the relevant audiences in the organisation.

To develop and support the financial management of the organisation by overseeing the processes and procedures for recognising income and expenditure in the organisation.

This is in tandem with overseeing the full budgeting and management accounts process related to the relevant Business Units.

Working closely with internal customers to interpret data and provide analysis, interpretation and support as required.

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording in accounts and administrative matters, processing invoices and performing bank reconciliations. You will also work with colleagues in The King’s Foundation ensuring compliance with policies and procedures of The King’s Foundation.

This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop within The King’s Foundation. As you become more familiar with our financial processes and systems, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, including involvement in more complex financial tasks and projects. You will have the chance to work closely with senior members of the finance team, gaining valuable experience and insights into the wider financial operations of the organization.

Working Hours:  37.5 hours per week

About the role:

The Head of Operations will oversee the day-to-day running of the global operations of Reprieve UK and Reprieve US and our work around the globe.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Data analysis plays a key part in supporting City Harvest growth and success. We are investing in our technology and data and are now in the process of consolidating several business applications onto the Dynamics 365 platform and standardising Power BI as a reporting tool.

We are recruiting for a Data & Impact Analyst to join the Finance and Data team. This is a new role to our charity which will act as an interface to other departments, to provide meaningful data and insights into the impactful work that we do.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a trained and technically skilled data analyst, experienced with Power BI as a reporting tool and familiar with Dynamics 365 as a CRM platform. This role requires confidence in working across different areas including data management and reporting, systems administration and maintenance. You will be able to effectively demonstrate and present your findings into meaningful data insights, actions and conclusions.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be rolled out in the first few months of 2025, and you will be involved in its roll-out and implementation.

About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions.  The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians).  At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary. 

The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders. 

Remuneration and time commitment

Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses) which is linked in the candidate pack.  The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.

The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month.  Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at 10 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7NG. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.
