We are looking for a talented strategic thinker and partner with transferable skills, to join the People, Culture and Inclusion (PCI) team to cover a period of maternity leave.
As a People Partner, you will provide an integrated, consultative HR service to your assigned Directorate. You will be working in conjunction with members of the PCI team and in partnership with the Head of PCI to align NCVO's Strategic Plan through people, by contributing to Directorate strategic planning activities and delivering the strategic People, Culture and Inclusion initiatives which also talk to the strategy.
The People Partner will play a vital role in the implementation of all strategies to enhance the culture, values and ambition to meet challenges within the sector. This will include (but is not limited to); Supporting and embracing NCVO's EDI Agenda, Workforce planning and transformation change programmes in collaboration with your colleagues within the PCI team. In addition to your strategic remit, you will deliver a solution focused HR service to all primarily at the level of Line Management and Senior Management Team colleagues, supporting the more complex people matters and implementing talent management and engagement strategies.
The ideal candidate will use their consulting and negotiating skills to look for risks and issues that are impacting the delivery of the Directorate's aims, both locally and strategically. At the same time, the senior management team regularly enlist HR expertise for complex change programmes which range from implementation of new systems and technical processes, which potentially impact on our size and shape to large scale strategic initiatives to enhance services for our 17,000 members.

What the job involves
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Fundraising professional to join our Individual Giving Team, focussing on our mid value programme and assisting with the production and development of campaigns aimed specifically for this audience. This role will be a fixed term contract for 13 months covering maternity leave.
Direct Marketing plays an important role in the organisation’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy, and we have seen a fantastic growth in our mid-value programme to date. We’re looking for a confident and proactive fundraiser to take responsibility for the delivery and development of this new audience and further shape the programme.
As a Direct Marketing Executive, you’ll use a range of channel content to reach and meet the needs of your audience and tailor your approach based on audience insight.
You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to warm mid value audience, to engage them wider with the work of Prostate Cancer UK with the overall aim to increase their life-time value.
With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage direct marketing campaigns in the form of seasonal appeals, email updates, and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently review KPIs and make evidence-based choices to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.
What we want from you
Excellent knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment is vital, you’ll also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience of stewarding donors by understanding the importance of meeting their needs.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Key Strategic Responsibilities
- Scope and drive forward funding & partnership opportunities in support of sustainability and growth.
- Collaborate, take shared accountability, influence and control for internal and outward facing operational strategies/delivery.

Who is The Charlie Waller Trust?
The Charlie Waller Trust was created by the Waller family in 1997 in response to the loss of their son and brother Charlie who died by suicide. We have since become one of the UK’s most respected mental health charities for children and young people. Our overarching mission is to educate those with responsibility for children and young people - parents and carers, teachers, college and university staff, and employers - about children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
The Youth Ambassador Role: We are seeking UK-based Youth Ambassadors (16-25 year olds) to join our Youth Involvement Team. We wish to appoint people that can bring diverse experiences in education, work or community in order to help create and shape the work that we do. The Youth Ambassadors role is about prioritising youth representation, identity and community across our charitable activity and beyond. The Charlie Waller Team will provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing support to those selected.
What will the role involve?
- Working remotely for up to 2 days (14 hours) a month.
- Attending a Charlie Waller Team day in person in March 2025, in London. Travel expenses will be covered.
- Attending up to six online group meetings with other youth ambassadors and the youth involvement team.
- Preparing for all meetings by reading any specified materials and conducting any preparatory activities.
- Making advisory recommendations regarding the Charlie Waller Trust’s existing projects and programmes in schools, universities, colleges and the workplace.

How much time am I expected to commit?
We expect those joining the Youth Ambassador group to join on a freelance basis for one year from February 2025 to January 2026.
Hours are subject to change each month but on average we would plan for you to work for CWT for up to 14 hours (2 days) per month. The majority of the working hours offered can be arranged as flexibly as possible around your other commitments
Will I be paid?Ambassadors will be remunerated for their time at a delivery and desk rate of £15 per hour for work both online and in person.
Desk work includes training preparation, resource coproduction or review, attending meetings and involvement in focus groups. Delivery work includes training delivery, public speaking at an event about the work of the Trust or hosting or being interviewed on the ambassador podcast.
Any expenses incurred in the role will be covered in line with the Charlie Waller Trust’s expenses policy (public transport or mileage at 45p mile). About the role
This role sits within our Partnership Management team in the Income Generation directorate, and you will be working with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to deliver strategic partnership activity in line with Shelter’s organisation goals. You will play a key part in the success of our employee fundraising, leading on engagement activities for one of our large, existing partnerships that generates over £1m in income for Shelter. You will also manage a diverse portfolio of five and six figure partnerships across multiple sectors, delivering high quality colleague, customer fundraising and commercial campaigns that require presenting Shelter’s cause effectively to a wide range of audiences.
The role needs someone with a proactive approach and creative flair for developing and executing new partnership activities. It will also involve collaborating on additional projects that support the wider Corporate Partnerships team strategy and managing elements of partner finances, including income forecasting, updating our supporter database and supporting the team.
About you
You will be proactive with excellent relationship-building and communication skills, and the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly, and confidently to a wide range of audiences.
You will have experience in corporate fundraising, partnership management or account management and be able to strengthen relationships with existing partnerships to grow fundraising income. You will have attention to detail and be able to work across multiple projects in a busy team environment, planning your workload effectively.

What the job involves
As an Engagement Events Executive, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and delivering events within Prostate Cancer UK’s engagement events portfolio, helping to build a program driven by the interests of our audiences. Joining our Customer Engagement and Experience team, you’ll work within the Engagement Events Team and work alongside key internal departments such as the Public Affairs and High Value Fundraising teams to deliver events that meet the highest standards of excellence and create lasting impact, in line with our strategic ambitions.
You’ll collaborate with our talented team of specialists across the charity and the Communications directorate, helping to develop and maintain logistical and administrative projects that drive successful events, inspire action, and create positive change for men. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of four, working directly with the Engagement Events Manager in a dynamic, collaborative environment, working on a varied portfolio which includes carol concerts, educational webinars, research conferences and high-value philanthropy events.
Supporting the delivery, planning and execution of audience-focussed events that bring our supporters, advocates, and stakeholders together- across the charity, you’ll work closely with the Engagement Events Manager to develop project plans, conduct thorough risk assessments, and ensure seamless on-the-day event logistics.
What we want from you
We’re looking for an excellent communicator who’s skilled at building relationships, inspiring, and engaging others. You’ll be engaging with a range of stakeholders, including internal and external specialists at all levels. With experience in a supporter- or customer-focused environment, you’re comfortable working both online and face-to-face.
You’ll bring proven expertise in delivering event logistics, from project planning and risk assessment to on-the-day event management, with a track record of working on a wide variety of bespoke events – ideally including high-value cultivation events, engagement events, and webinars. As a strong project manager, you’ll use your organisational skills to handle both proactive and reactive tasks, always with a solutions-focused approach.
You’ll also be proficient in using databases to manage relationships, including budget and supplier management tools and CRM systems.
