Our Services Welfare Officers provide vital welfare support to the Armed Forces to both new recruits and service personnel at military bases within the UK and overseas.

As a Services Welfare Officer you will manage our WRVS facility on a military site. This will involve:
- Providing an independent, confidential and sensitive welfare support
- Supporting service personnel on a one-to-one basis
- Helping them find solutions to personal and practical issues
- Using your judgement to signpost them to other support agencies or our military colleagues where appropriate.
You will be provided with free one-person military accommodation based on site in the UK with the opportunity to be considered to work abroad at a later stage. Your food and drink is also subsidised!
About You
We are looking for applicants with broad experience in working with young adults and more experienced service personnel in a welfare setting.
You may have previously worked in youth and community work, social work, counselling, education or healthcare settings.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience of working with young or vulnerable adults
- Previous experience of effective networking with other agencies
- To be prepared to live in one person accommodation (provided)
- The flexibility to live anywhere within the UK or overseas for prolonged periods of time, i.e. two years
- Basic IT skills
- A full, valid driving licence
- A valid UK passport
You will also need:
- To demonstrate flexibility to relocate at short notice, be self-motivated and approachable
- To demonstrate proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- To possess time-management, planning and prioritisation abilities
- The ability to demonstrate confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues
- A good track record of working effectively within a team
A relevant qualification in an area such as youth work, social work, teaching or similar, would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of the military environment but this is not a deal breaker!

Who is The Charlie Waller Trust?
The Charlie Waller Trust was created by the Waller family in 1997 in response to the loss of their son and brother Charlie who died by suicide. We have since become one of the UK’s most respected mental health charities for children and young people. Our overarching mission is to educate those with responsibility for children and young people - parents and carers, teachers, college and university staff, and employers - about children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
The Youth Ambassador Role: We are seeking UK-based Youth Ambassadors (16-25 year olds) to join our Youth Involvement Team. We wish to appoint people that can bring diverse experiences in education, work or community in order to help create and shape the work that we do. The Youth Ambassadors role is about prioritising youth representation, identity and community across our charitable activity and beyond. The Charlie Waller Team will provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing support to those selected.
What will the role involve?
- Working remotely for up to 2 days (14 hours) a month.
- Attending a Charlie Waller Team day in person in March 2025, in London. Travel expenses will be covered.

How much time am I expected to commit?
We expect those joining the Youth Ambassador group to join on a freelance basis for one year from February 2025 to January 2026.
Hours are subject to change each month but on average we would plan for you to work for CWT for up to 14 hours (2 days) per month. The majority of the working hours offered can be arranged as flexibly as possible around your other commitments
Will I be paid?Ambassadors will be remunerated for their time at a delivery and desk rate of £15 per hour for work both online and in person.
Desk work includes training preparation, resource coproduction or review, attending meetings and involvement in focus groups. Delivery work includes training delivery, public speaking at an event about the work of the Trust or hosting or being interviewed on the ambassador podcast.
Any expenses incurred in the role will be covered in line with the Charlie Waller Trust’s expenses policy (public transport or mileage at 45p mile). Working within our Kent Domestic Abuse services, Tenancy Support Workers will provide resettlement support to customers who are moving on from refuge and domestic abuse tenancy support to community clients who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme in West Kent.
Look Ahead operates trauma and psychologically informed approaches, ensuring that our customers benefit from being supported through strengths-based practices. Tenancy Support Workers share responsibility by ensuring that a holistic and cohesive model of customer support is embedded across Kent.

You will:

We are searching for new Peer Support Workers with lived experience to join our new peer support service. The role involves facilitating Peer Support groups to enable and support individuals with Serious Mental Illness.

As our Contact Centre Agent, you will ensure that information is passed from the public to the relevant agency accurately and securely, without any reference to the caller’s identity.
Main Responsibilities of the role:
- Record information from members of the public via the telephone or other relevant medium. Question the source where possible to ensure best information is received.
- Input the sanitised information onto the database before forwarding to the appropriate Intelligence unit or external agency, ensuring information complies with data protection and disclosure requirements.

Richmond Borough Mind (RB Mind) is a mental health charity dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of the local community. Our Carers in Mind service provides emotional support, guidance, and community connections for unpaid carers supporting loved ones with mental health challenges.
This role is part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme (CMHTP), an initiative designed to improve support for those with severe and enduring mental health conditions by integrating care across the NHS, community services, and the voluntary sector.
Role Purpose:
The Carers Senior Peer Support Worker will coordinate and deliver peer support services for unpaid carers across Richmond. This includes leading a small team, providing direct support, facilitating peer groups, and collaborating with local partners to ensure carers receive holistic, high-quality support.

As an Engagement Events Executive, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and delivering events within Prostate Cancer UK’s engagement events portfolio, helping to build a program driven by the interests of our audiences.
