The range of Counterpoints Arts’ work has grown considerably since it was founded in 2012 and we are now seeking someone to lead on Operations Management whilst our current Operations Manager is on maternity leave. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of our charity’s operations, including overseeing day-to-day administrative, financial, and HR functions. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and have a strong background in charity operations or a similar role within the nonprofit sector. We are particularly interested in recruiting someone whose values align with the charity's mission and overall team culture.

Responsibilities:
Overall, the role involves ensuring smooth daily operations and charity compliance, managing office administration, supporting team productivity and wellbeing, and liaising with external stakeholders and suppliers.
Finance and Fundraising:

Ensure financial compliance and oversee bookkeeping, invoicing, and grant payments.

Support budgeting, financial reporting, and planning with the Director.

Monitor charity management accounts, project income, and expenditure.

Manage year-end accounts, filing with the Charity Commission, and Company House.

Write funding applications and reports, maintain funder relationships, and ensure grant reporting deadlines are met.

Ensure provisional figures are submitted to various funders and entities

Write narrative report to go alongside financial report for year end accounts
Board and Senior Management Team:

Support the Director in preparing Board papers

Support SMT meetings and assist the Board with reminders and actions
- Update the Risk Register every 6 months according to updates agreed at Board meetings
HR and Policy:

Lead on HR activities, annual leave, TOIL, pensions, and contract administration.

Oversee payroll, recruitment, staff wellbeing, and compliance with employment law.

Manage temporary staff and freelancers, and update HR policies as needed.

IT:

Manage all IT systems used by the team of staff and freelancers, including Slack and Google Workspace.

Encourage best practice for cyber security to all team members and work with staff to resolve any cyber security issues that arise Compliance and Governance:

Office Management:

Manage office logistics, filing, GDPR compliance, and health and safety.

Required Experience:

Proven experience in an operations or administrative management role within a charity, arts, or non-profit organisation.

Summary of the role:
The Global Programmes Assistant reports directly to the Global Programmes Manager and will primarily be responsible for providing support functions to the International Programmes team. The role requires excellent organisational, teamwork and numeracy skills, to work with key stakeholders to ensure an effective, efficient and quality delivery of development and emergency response programmes. The Global Programmes Assistant also supports the administrative work of the department, including the preparation and tracking of project payments, and maintaining partner due diligence records.
About the Role:
- Provide programme and administrative assistance to Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams as required including support with the development and production of project proposals.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the Project Tracker and SharePoint site.
- Maintain soft (and if required hard copies of) programme files, provide filing assistance to the team and support archiving.
- Ensure the timely submission of quarterly and completion reports, and support the review of seasonal and small-medium project reports as delegated by Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams
- Maintain and review the report supporting documents including field reports, financial evidence, centrally agreed documents, media and case studies.
- Support the development of IPD wide administrative systems.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience of working within a Programme Support/administrative role.
- Experience of working with budgets and/or processing payments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and employees at all levels.
- High degree of organisational and time management skills.

The Women’s Recovery Service is a dedicated 22-bed accommodation designed to provide a safe, psychologically informed space for women with complex needs. About the role:
As the Team Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our frontline staff, ensuring the highest standards of trauma-informed, recovery-focused care for our residents. This position requires a balance of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day guidance and strategic support, maintaining SHP’s standards and fulfilling contractual requirements.

About you:

Charity overview
The Human Milk Foundation (HMF) is a charity based at the Gossoms End NHS Health Centre in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Our goal is to support more families to feed their babies with human milk, through education, research and the supply of donor human milk.
We operate the UK’s first independent, non-profit human milk bank - the Hearts Milk Bank, providing donor human milk to neonatal intensive care units across London, the southeast, south Wales, Northumbria and East Anglia.
Much like donated human blood, there are situations where donated human milk can be lifesaving. Premature babies are very vulnerable and at risk of infections and life-threatening conditions such as necrotising enterocolitis (NEC), which causes some or all of the bowel to die. Mothers who have given birth early are sometimes unable to produce enough of their own milk straight away and can be very unwell themselves, so donor milk is often vital in protecting the baby during the first days and weeks after birth; it allows the mother the time and support to establish her own milk supply.
The HMB team recruit milk donors who undergo blood tests and complete a detailed lifestyle and health questionnaire before donating milk. Donor milk is collected from donors by volunteer SERV (“blood-biker”) volunteers and delivered to the milk bank where it is heat-treated (pasteurised) to destroy potentially harmful bacteria and viruses, checked by microbiologists to make sure that there is no unacceptable bacterial contamination and stored frozen. The milk is collected and delivered to hospitals and to mothers in the community who cannot breastfeed such as those with cancer, HIV or lack of breast tissue.
The HMB has recruited over 4,000 milk donors and supplied donor milk to feed thousands of babies, cared for in over 50 neonatal units. We have also supported more than 700 families in the community, including mothers who are establishing their own milk supply and mothers with cancer.
The Human Milk Foundation has a small team of dedicated individuals with a broad set of skills across medicine, lactation support, milk banking, research, and communications. We all have a great passion to make change to improve the health of babies, giving parents and families the support they need to be able to feed their babies, and new members of the team should share that passion.

AKF(UK) Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European and Asian government, foundation, and corporate donors to mobilise resources for ten multisector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. 4.1 Securing resources

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.

You will have responsibility for coordination of our food stock, from goods-in to picking, dispatch and stock rotation and will be expected to drive vans, and Fork Lift Trucks (training provided). Working closely with the wider team and volunteers, you will also support the monitoring and utilisation of warehouse space, stock, deliveries and collections to ensure food reaches its destination amongst our members safely, on time and in full.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Operations
· Undertake all warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient co-ordination and distribution and of food
· To work to performance indicators so that stock is accurate and delivery routes are efficient to allow the organisation to grow
· To ensure that all work areas – both inside and outside the warehouse - are clean, organised and safe to work in
· Follow all H&S and Food Safety standards set out in the FareShare policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our colleagues & visitors, and the safe receipt of food by all our members.
· Undertake van/Fork Lift Truck driving duties to ensure effective, efficient timely and safe delivery & collection of food, in line with compliance standards
· Ensuring great customer service in delivery
· Loading and unloading, sorting for, and following deliveries, ensuring safe lifting, and carrying
· Keep vehicles refuelled, maintained, operational and clean and tidy, ready for the next delivery run
· Refer van “issues”, in a timely manner to Transport Department to ensure minimum disruption to service delivery
· Undertake all checks and procedures from pre-delivery to post-delivery
· Ensure lock up, parking and storage of vans and equipment following completion of deliveries
2. Volunteer Communication & Co-ordination
· Work closely with the volunteer teams a diverse group ranging from regular and long-term, volunteers, placements (e.g. Job Centre) to business people having just a 1-day volunteering experience – to ensure that all shift duties are covered and teams work effectively
· Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they follow all policies and procedures, high standards of accuracy are maintained and their volunteer experience with FSM is a satisfying one.
· Work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Volunteer Manager & wider staff team with the recruitment, training and development of volunteers in the context of our commitment to Equal Opportunities
· Participate in end of day reviews and planning for the next day’s activities
· Maintain excellent relations and communications with volunteers, staff, food suppliers and charities, at all times
3. Standards
· Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and other standards applicable to the building, vehicles, refrigeration equipment, our staff and volunteers. carrying out risk assessments as required
· Uphold and develop high quality customer care towards & communication with our Community Food Members (CFMs)
4. Administration
· Ensure that food movements are accurately logged on the electronic stock management system
· Carry out depot administration, including running reports, correspondence with member groups, updating volunteer records
· Ensure that relevant administrative matters are dealt with in a timely way, for instance food safety traces & customer complaints.

Desirable Experience
· Experience of working in a warehouse environment, preferably with food
· Experience of working with individuals who may feel vulnerable or need support
· No major endorsements on license such as DR, DG or IN. Successful candidates will have a full clean UK driving license (6 points or less will be considered)
· Previous multi-drop experience is preferred however not essential.
· The role requires manually loading stock into a van (up to 20/30kg) and unload each delivery
· A good geographical knowledge of the County and surrounding area would be helpful.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the day to day running of the first Night Shelter in the London Borough of Sutton since 2020.
You will lead the project managing an assistant and also overseeing venue leaders and a team of volunteers.
You will be first point of contact for guests and be main point of referral for external partners.
Our vision is to see people move on into more settled accommodation so you will coordinate the involvement of external partners and signpost accordingly.
