Role Summary 

The Site Manager role involves overseeing a number of university Islamic Societies or Muslim Student Associations who are interested in partnering with Roots Academy to host the Essentials Onsite Program an in-person transformative educational class tailored to university students on campus. The Site Manager role is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with these ISoc/MSA committees and offering 1:1 support to ensure that they have an excellent educational experience.
 

Key tasks

• Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with ISoc/MSA committees and Student Ambassadors (ISoc/MSA representative) to ensure an exceptional onsite experience for students, and promote retention of sites.
   
• Be the point of contact for ISocs/MSAs: answer questions, offer light-touch support and coaching on ways to improve the class, engage on a 1:1 basis listening to their needs and concerns, and addressing these accordingly.
   
• Liaise with Student Ambassadors to ensure that logistics involved in marketing and running the class are taken care of by the ISoc/MSA.
   
• Collect ideas and best-practices from how different campuses deliver their class
   
• Be the internal point of contact for any queries or updates related to ISocs/MSAs assigned.

You will meet with your mentees once to twice a month and will need to be able to commit to 4 to 6 hours a month to support your mentee . About the Role

We’re looking for Volunteer Mentors to join our MAPS Mentoring team. As a mentor, you’ll meet with a young person in Sutton for 1-2 hours weekly for up to a year. Meetings are flexible and can take place in the evenings, weekends, or during the week for our older mentees, or for in-school mentoring.

No prior experience is needed - just a genuine desire to make a difference in a young person’s life.

With a budget provided for food, drinks, activities, and travel, you and your mentee can choose what to do together. Whether it’s casual coffee chats, dog walks, or saving up for more adventurous outings like GoKarting, Thorpe Park trips, or even indoor skydiving, the choice is yours!

We are now seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a Heart of Gold to help lead our new start-up charity, ensuring our vision is delivered with clarity, dignity, and impact.

• Support volunteers: Empower and coordinate our grassroots team to deliver uplifting, community-led initiatives.

• Financial oversight: Work with trustees and the CEO to manage budgets and resources responsibly.

• Strategic delivery: Translate SUNSHINE’s vision into practical, impactful action across London.

Ranger Cadets is a new, independent, non-profit uniformed youth organisation with a bold mission: to engage young people in their communities, equip them with essential life skills, and unlock their full potential. The Role

We are seeking passionate Adult Instructors to serve in a uniformed volunteer position, leading on the training, development, and empowerment of cadets within a local London cadet unit. This is a hands-on role for someone who can inspire young people, deliver engaging sessions, and help them progress through our syllabus programme.

As an Adult Instructor, you will:

• Wear the Ranger Cadets uniform with pride, embodying our values of dignity, inclusivity, and service.

• Lead training sessions that equip cadets with essential life skills, tools, and opportunities to grow.

• Support cadets in earning badges for their uniform and advancing through the ranks.

• Mentor and empower young people, building their confidence and resilience.

• Work alongside fellow volunteers to deliver a safe, structured, and inspiring programme.

Who We’re Looking For

• Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for youth development and community service.

• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

• Ability to engage and inspire young people in a group setting.

• Commitment to our values: non-political, non-religious, inclusive, and open to all.

• No prior cadet or military experience required—training and support will be provided.
