Home-Start Barnet delivers early intervention programmes to families with young children, who have multiple needs and are struggling to cope with the challenges they face. Our trained volunteers provide the emotional support needed to prevent crisis and the practical tools to empower parents and carers to give their children the best start in life.
Key responsibilities are to:
- Handle all incoming communications - phone, email and other communications
- Provide central administration support to the charity
- Support and build engagement across different social media channels
- Update content for HSB’s website
- Support and help organise training and events

The role is based at our offices in Finchley, N3. Due to the nature of our work, we require someone to be present in the office 5 days a week. We have a welcoming and relaxed office environment, but also take pride in our professional standards.

Purpose of the Job
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about supporting the delivery of the youth engagement strategy for the #iwill Movement and ensuring they are at the centre of our work at UK Youth.
Reporting to the Youth Development Project Manager, you will support the development and delivery of opportunities for young people to engage in our work towards our collective goals. Working within the Network Delivery department, you will be responsible for organising and delivering a range of projects and workstreams to enable young people across the UK Youth and #iwill Movement to express their views, have them listened to and to create positive change. You will help empower young people to become active citizens and creative positive change, by creating innovative ways for young people to engage in various networks through volunteering, social action and campaigning projects.
Key Responsibilities
•Support the effective delivery of a programme of development and engagement activities with young people across the #iwill Movement
• Manage the scheduling and organisation of activities across project workstreams, ensuring project management processes are in place to enable excellent standards of delivery
• Facilitate young people to build their skills and confidence so that young people’s participation and contribution are maximised and able to express their views
•Support the growth of a diverse range of networks involving young people across all UK regions, including with our nation partners. Working in partnership, develop the networks to be outcomes-focused and self-led on digital platforms

Experience we're after
• A nationally recognised youth work qualification or ability to demonstrate experience of frontline youth work delivery, understanding of safeguarding and data protection is highly desirable

Main Responsibilities:
Our FOOD (Food On Our Doorstep) programme aims to: provide regular access to a sustainable supply of food to people at risk of food insecurity; encourage families to access local support services and be signposted to other agencies; increase disposable income for local families to improve life chances and wellbeing; reduce the amount of food being sent to landfill in the UK by utilising surplus food.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.
2. Supporting the FOOD Club Coordinator to carry out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service, in order to protect service users and Family Action.
3. Ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out in line with food safety/hygiene standards.
4. Ensure volunteers are using up-to-date allergies forms to prevent any risk to service users.
5. Support the FOOD Club Coordinator with financial checks, stock control, recruitment, induction and training of volunteers.
6. Recording accurate data to enable the FOOD Club Coordinator to report on KPIs, including uptake of the scheme, service user income, and the positive financial impact on families.
7. Encourage regular attendance at FOOD Clubs to ensure income is maintained and to prevent food wastage.
8. Provide regular feedback to the FOOD Club Coordinator on the quality of food and resources from suppliers.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.
The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. The Community Fundraiser will be the face of Brain Tumour Research in the area, providing excellent stewardship to existing supporters, and building great relationships with new supporters.
This post has been vacant since Autumn, and as such needs a fundraiser with confidence and capability in fundraising to join the team, provide donor love to the loyal supporters in the area, and approach developing the areas potential with energy and enthusiasm. If you have fundraising experience and are keen to join a charity with ambition and an amazing supporter base, then this could be the role for you.

The School:
Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex. The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. The Nursery, the Pre-Prep & the Prep cater for 370 boys, while the Senior School has over 960 pupils. The Senior School employs over 110 teachers and 160 Support staff across Merchant Taylors’ School.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Fundraising
· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.
· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.
· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.
· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.
· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.
Stewardship
· Establishing and running a comprehensive benefactor stewardship programme that thanks and stewards donors at all levels, including legacy pledges, through regular communication and events.
Reporting
· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.
· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.
· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
It is the post holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact and to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy Statement at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the School s/he must report any concerns to the Head Master.

This pivotal role blends the art of delivering impactful, engaging training with the creativity of developing meaningful content for our growing learning platform. You’ll be responsible for facilitating interactive sessions (both virtual and in-person) tailored to diverse audiences, and creating high-quality materials including e-learning modules, webinars, podcasts, and presentations. At its core, this role is about nurturing conversations that lead to real change – supporting PDAers, families, professionals, and researchers alike.
We’re looking for someone who is an enthusiastic, inclusive facilitator with a solid understanding of the PDA profile of autism and a passion for creating accessible, impactful learning experiences. You’ll be confident using digital tools, a skilled communicator, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams. The ability to adapt your style to suit the audience is essential, as is a willingness to travel to deliver in-person training across the UK.
