JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
• Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
• Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
• Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.
• External Relations and Communications- working with RUHX Director and Marketing & Communications Team support with corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency. 

The Role

SafeLives has an unparalleled track record of using evidence and research to effect national change, with research and analysis being fundamental to helping SafeLives achieve its strategy. This information is used to set our policy messages, define our strategy, design our services and evidence the impact of the work we have done.

In April 2021, the Domestic Abuse Act received Royal Assent. The Act introduces a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Notice (DAPN) to provide immediate protection following a domestic abuse incident and a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) to provide flexible, longer-term protection for victims. DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. Positive requirements can be in the form of interventions aimed at reducing and managing risk, meeting the needs of an individual (for the factors that are not the causation of abuse but impact on risk, e.g. mental ill health and substance misuse) and behaviour change interventions.

The Drive Partnership has been commissioned by the Home Office to design a triage model that will assess individuals for the suitability of these interventions; this triage model will be rolled out in the pilot sites, which are going live in May 2024, and will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.

The Research Analyst will be responsible for working with and supporting the Senior Research Analyst and Research Managers to develop and deliver rigorous and sector-leading data, analysis and recommendations across our work alongside the Drive Partnership.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help transform the response to domestic abuse by ensuring the sector is evidence-led. SafeLives holds the largest datasets on victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse nationally, which you will use to inform our ambitious policy and research agenda. Working alongside our practice experts, survivors of abuse, and our expert research team, you will help to answer important questions about what works in ending domestic abuse.

We need an enthusiastic, innovative and capable individual with the excellent technical ability to keep our unique sector-leading evidence base relevant and informative to all our users: local service providers, commissioners and national government. The evidence you produce will inform and influence national policymakers, funders and stakeholders to improve the response for families living with domestic abuse.

The RSPCA is embracing new ways in which we involve and engage volunteers with our work.  As part of an ambitious transformation programme we will be testing exciting initiatives, starting with a 12 month pilot of Area Volunteer Support Partners across six trial areas.

We're looking for six talented individuals who have strong people skills and are fantastic at building great working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

In this role you'll be providing expert volunteer management support to our local managers and coordinators, whilst ensuring that the volunteer experience is embedded into all that we do.  You'll develop an understanding of the volunteer skills and commitment needs of the local teams you work with, and help them recruit the right people, onboard them and keep them engaged.

You'll also work closely with the volunteers in your area and take time to understand their motivations to volunteer and the skills and experience they offer. By bringing together volunteers from across the local area, you'll identify opportunities where volunteers can collaborate and support different parts of the organisation.

To support our transformation programme, you'll be testing and trialling new volunteering initiatives as defined by our transformation project team.  You'll implement initiatives working to agreed timescales whilst helping design processes to aid their adoption by local teams.  You'll gather evidence to evaluate their success and provide feedback to the project team.

This role is a home worker role with regular travel within your defined area.  You'll be travelling to meet with volunteers, colleagues and local community organisations so a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle is essential.

You'll be joining our friendly Volunteer Experience team and playing a crucial role in supporting our amazing volunteers.  This role also offers a great opportunity to input into the development of our inclusive volunteering offer for the future.

JOB SUMMARY

The Trusts Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Trusts and Foundations, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.

The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.

Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals and grant applications. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing the endeavours of Trusts and Foundations. Your role will secure significant contributions for transformative projects and cultivate a culture of donor-centric giving, fostering long-term partnerships.

We are looking for experienced professionals who will perform inspection activities on behalf of The Survivors Trust (TST) Inspection Body to assess specialist rape and sexual abuse support services for conformance to TST National Service Standards. 

The role of an inspector is to investigate, evaluate, assess, and determine the compliance of an organisation for conformance against specific standards within the framework of UKAS inspection requirements.

Training will be provided; however, candidates will ideally have an understanding of performing audit/inspection duties and preferably have a degree or equivalent specific to the sector, e.g. psychology, criminology, counselling etc. or a minimum 2 years’ experience working in the sector. An understanding of the practical applications of trauma informed practice and needs of service users is desirable. They will be familiar with sector specific legislation, have good understanding and application of boundaries to maintain impartiality of inspection activities, and be able to make judgements that are objective, fair and based securely on evidence. They will be clear and succinct communicators with the ability to respond professionally and calmly to challenge. A good level of education, the ability to articulate themselves in a friendly and professional manner and IT competency are essential.

This is a remote-based role and may require some travelling to locations around the UK (expenses will be reimbursed). Candidates will be expected to have the right to work in the UK, the use of required ICT equipment and software, and comply to cyber security, confidentiality and data protection requirements.

You will be required to undergo enhanced DBS clearance to work with The Survivors Trust and references will be sought.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and play a vital role within the Fundraising team at MHA. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the individual giving programme in line with the wider strategic objectives.

Data Orchard is looking for:

Abortion Support Network is a largely volunteer-run charity that helps people living in European countries with bad abortion laws and provision access safe abortions in clinics abroad. ASN provides practical information, support, funding, travel and accommodation.

We are looking to recruit a new Managing Director to lead the team. ASN began as a group of activists and a mobile phone, and spent its early years running on passion. While remaining true to it’s radical roots, ASN are navigating the realities of building a sustainable organisation which offers the best possible experience for our clients, staff, volunteers and supporters. To do this, we need a strategic thinker who has experience leading a team and works pragmatically to get things done. 

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will have complete oversight of ASN, from service delivery to IT system procurement. We don’t expect anyone to be an expert on every part of ASN’s work, but we’re looking for someone with robust relevant experience who is willing to learn from our incredible team.

About the role:
 

As a Fundraising Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation. You will be at the forefront of our fundraising efforts, building and nurturing relationships with supporters, planning fundraising campaigns, and helping to ensure our financial sustainability. Responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent supporter care and communication to help fundraisers reach targets and retain corporate partners and donors.
• Collaborate with the fundraising and wider Student Minds team to achieve fundraising objectives.
• Encourage fundraising and donations through regular communications and manage time-bound campaigns.
• Conduct research into new fundraising prospects in collaboration with the Fundraising and Development Manager and the Partnerships Manager.
• Manage supporter newsletters, including writing content and increasing distribution and engagement.
• Handle incoming enquiries regarding donations and fundraising activities and update supporter data in the charity database.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for community and corporate fundraising activities and events.
• Assist with strategic decision-making, ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, and support website content development.
