The role and your key responsibilities

As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups. You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

• Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.

• Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and achieve a sky high resubscription rate.

• Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.

• Listen to teachers and students about how we can improve our customer service and the Unifrog platform.

• Attend conferences and run CPD events on behalf of Unifrog.

Key details

• £37,306 per annum (Grade B), plus commission, car allowance, and a share in a company-wide performance bonus. OTE £40,000.

BACKGROUND

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the survivors of trafficking and torture, including gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Recognising the complexity of each client’s suffering and needs, the Foundation provides specialist medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection and practical support to survivors of human rights violations by helping men, women and children heal the emotional and physical damage they have suffered through torture, trafficking or other forms of cruelty.  We take the learning from our work to develop partnerships to increase survivors’ access to services, and use the learning generated by our clients and partners to drive system change.

Since August 2020, Asylum Aid has been part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group. Asylum Aid operates as an independent charity, led by its own Executive Director within the group structure, and is ambitious about growing its impact and reach in the future to ensure protection from persecution for those who need it.  For over thirty years, Asylum Aid has been providing legal representation to some of the most vulnerable people seeking asylum. It has built an expert service, delivering vital and life-saving services in some of the most complex legal cases, with a particular speciality working with unaccompanied children, survivors of trafficking, torture or other forms of human cruelty, and stateless people. In this role you will support both charities alongside the CEO, Executive Director of Asylum Aid and Senior HR and Operations Officer.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

 The Head of People is a new role for the organsiation and you will be joining us at an exciting time, as we are moving into new offices and seek to drive forward our new 2025-2030 strategy.  This role will play a pivotal role in implementing our objective to be an employer of choice. maintaining and evolving our strong team culture, and strengthening our position as leader in evidence based management and leadership practices.  In this role you will be supported to develop the capacity, capability and human resource systems of the organisation to achieve impact at scale with a strong and effective team and will work in close collaboration with the CEO, the members of the Executive Leadership Team and Management Team as well as the Senior HR and Operations Officer.

You will provide leadership in developing and implementing our People and Culture strategic objectives. Some of your immediate priorities will be undertaking a review of our current policies and systems, preparing for our Pay and Benefits Review and setting up a Wellbeing Review and Consultation.  You will also be asked to undertake a review of our equality, diversity and inclusion policy and the accompanying anti-racism action plan. You will bring your expertise in people and human resources to help secure the organisation’s  long-term sustainability and impact.

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.

The Strategic Projects unit focuses on new and emerging areas of work which require close collaboration with staff across the organisation, and to use creative thinking, sound project management and administrative skills. Recently completed work ranges from providing interim programme and events management support to THET’s Experts In Our Midst programme, to project management and coordination support to the UK-Africa Health Summit. Work is now starting on initiatives to tackle the organisational change we see at THET, such as strengthening recruitment and induction processes, and improving our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion approach.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Digital Inclusion Community Builder to join our team of committed, value-driven people focused on mobilising community-led social change across Gloucester.

The Digital Inclusion Community Builder role is part of an exciting partnership, the 'Gloucestershire Digital Hubs Project' which aims to increase digital inclusion across all six districts in Gloucestershire, offering free, accessible, tailored support to individuals, facilitated by a group of seven partner organisations.  As the partner covering Gloucester, we aim to establish digital hubs in communities across the city, enabling people to access and use digital technologies to enhance their lives and participate fully in society. The primary focus is on addressing existing digital inequalities that prevent people from reaching their full potential.

Supported by our team of community builders, you will continue the work of facilitating the development of community-based digital hubs, leveraging existing connections, spaces, and organisations within local communities. Your role will involve understanding how digital tools can support and enhance people's existing skills and passions, as well as encouraging them to share their expertise through formal and informal volunteer roles.

Chefs in Schools is a young, ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids' health, through improving school food & food education. About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School Chef Educator programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.  The School Chef Educator programme is a 10 week training programme for school kitchen staff, covering topics such as Reducing Food Waste, and Food Education. It is delivered in a blended learning format, through a mix of in-person training, bitesize webinars, and our online learning website.

You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor, to identify and liaise with suitable funding partners, academies and schools, and ensure we are monitoring and evaluating our programme delivery to evidence it’s impact and ensure quality delivery across the cohorts that take part.

Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

● To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Director of Transformations, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery.

● At all times to ensure that our training programmes are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

● Working with the School Engagement Manager, to identify suitable schools for our funded training programmes, ensuring a high uptake of available places on our funded training programmes.

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will primarily be responsible for supporting Money Heroes, our largest primary programme designed to develop the financial capability of children across England and Wales. Money Heroes provides resources, training and mentoring for primary schools, as well as storybooks, games and other materials to supplement learning about money at school and in the home.

The Programme Coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager and the Money Heroes team to ensure the smooth running of the programme, including coordinating content development and website updates, supporting the delivery of teacher training events, supporting the marketing and promotion of the programme, and supporting ongoing monitoring and evaluation. The role also works more broadly across the whole of the Programmes and Services team to ensure joined-up cohesive support is offered internally and externally to staff, teachers and other educators.

The post holder will be responsible for providing high-level customer service both internally and externally to a variety of people including teachers and other educators and YE staff. Reporting to the Programme Manager, this is a role that can grow with the capabilities and interests of the person in post, with opportunities to develop skills in project management, digital development, writing copy and inputting into social media and marketing campaigns. This is a hybrid role, working out of our London or Oxford office a minimum of 4 times per month.

Salary:  up to £55,000 (dependent on experience), plus generous pension scheme, flexible working culture

Contract: Permanent, subject to a six-month probation period

Location: London/Hybrid. In person attendance for certain meetings is required (including all staff/team meetings and governance/committee meetings that take place in person). Travel within the UK and internationally may be required. 

About the RSS and this role

The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is one of the world’s leading organisations advocating for the importance of statistics and data, which have never been more vital. We’re looking for an exceptional, experienced business development professional who can help us increase our impact.

The main purpose of this role is to create and manage a pipeline of customers, from initial research, through to strong leads, and ultimately sales. Working closely with teams within the Society to research, follow up and develop strong leads, you will participate in events and marketing activities as needed, and develop and maintain a working database of contacts within our CRM system, to enable effective logging and tracking of potential customers.

The Society offers a diverse range of products from training, sponsorship and professional accreditation and you will be expected to understand these business models and work with teams to maximise their revenue generating potential.

As this is a new role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build the role around you, with flexibility to play to your strengths and manage your own projects independently. The work will be varied, and you’ll work with a variety of partner types, so this role is perfect if you’re looking to put your business development skills to the test.

You will be required to act as an ambassador of the charity in everything you do; we are looking for someone who is going to embody the charities ethos and who will keep the charity at the heart of all the decisions that are made.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who really want to work for a charity or not for profit organisation. While not essential, some familiarity with developments within data science, statistics, machine learning, AI and related subject areas would be an advantage.

Our Head of Business Development will:

• Work with wider RSS staff to develop our understanding of the preferences and needs of key internal and external markets to ensure our services align with those preferences and needs.
• Monitor emerging trends in statistics/data science/AI and keep track of competitors to ensure RSS services remain relevant and current.
• Understand key policy and strategy objectives of the RSS and develop, plan and where appropriate implement sales strategies to support those objectives, working closely with other colleagues as required.
• Understand the range of products delivered by the Society and create business development strategies and plans to maximise their commercial value.
• Work with the Director and other colleagues as required to help to shape the Society’s marketing strategy.
• Support development of the commercial aspects of strategies and plans across the organisation. Create and manage a pipeline of customers, from initial research, through to strong leads, and ultimately sales.
• Work with teams to identify new potential revenue streams, sponsorship opportunities and customer types to contact.
• Look for and exploit opportunities to expand our current products to increase revenues.
• Understand key policy and strategy objectives of the RSS and develop, plan and where appropriate implement sales strategies to support those objectives, working closely with other colleagues as required.
• Explore and develop opportunities to extend the reach of the RSS brand and sub-brands to grow partners and sponsors.

Your skills and experience will include:

• A track record of success in sales or business development in the service sector.
• Experience working with different types of products, ideally including sponsorship.
• Experience developing strategies and plans to maximise commercial value
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills – ability to identify and respond to changing priorities.
• Desire to establish and develop an extensive network of external contacts in the industry.
• Able to make sound commercial decisions and identify commercially viable/profitable projects.
• Collaborative team worker – works with colleagues to achieve strategic, operational and commercial objectives.
• Happy to work on own initiative within corporate and RSS guidelines/directives.
• Experience of CRM systems.
