User Voice exists to reduce reoffending and improve rehabilitation by working with those who are often not heard. One of the main ways that we do this is through our council model, which allows those currently in prison, or on licence, to have their say and contribute ideas and solutions to benefit everyone. You will bring sharp strategic thinking and an enterprising mindset, with the ability to spot new opportunities for us to have an even greater impact, combined with an authentic and inspiring management style that brings the whole team with you on that journey. A natural ambassador and external advocate, you will also be enthusiastic about partnerships and able to ensure that User Voice, as a small charity, has a powerful and credible voice externally.

About the opportunity
Critical to our mission, we are looking to recruit a South West and South East Programme Manager to be responsible for three geographical areas and the schools within them, and to support further geographical expansion. You will oversee your region’s Action Tutoring programmes, liaising with our partner schools and developing new school partnerships, whilst supporting your team of Programme Coordinators to engage pupils and support them to build relationships and retain a strong pool of volunteer tutors.
As a Programme Manager, you will line manage Programme Coordinators to ensure they effectively manage their caseload of schools, whilst driving the quality of programmes and ensuring that the delivery of programmes meets organisational KPIs. This role will take a lead on new school recruitment, regularly pitching to Senior Leaders within schools and managing school partnerships within your region to ensure Action Tutoring’s growth targets are met. Additionally, you will contribute to the wider leadership of the Action Tutoring programme team, lead on programme-specific projects to support the programme department's priorities and will be expected to support the wider learning and development needs of the Programme Coordinator team.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working with people who have a frontline role, gets energy from pitching to schools and wants to increase their management experience in an exciting and rapidly developing charity. The successful candidate should be able to manage their own workload to a high standard as well as support others, have excellent attention to detail, be adaptable, relational and used to problem-solving and be able to work well with a range of stakeholders and be confident carrying out administrative tasks to support programme delivery.

Duties and responsibilities
· Oversee the delivery of all Action Tutoring programmes and corresponding work in the South West and South East; this currently includes Devon, Sussex and Bristol.
· Line manage up to seven Programme Coordinators, meeting weekly with them and overseeing the delivery of their programmes, and supporting them through regular observations, training and feedback to ensure consistently high quality programme delivery. Line management would also include HR responsibilities (appraisal, recruitment etc.) with support from others in the charity.
· Work with Action Tutoring’s Head of Programmes (South) on business development. Leading on recruitment (sales) and retention of schools in the South West and South East. Ensuring that there are a sufficient number of partner schools in the South West and South East according to growth and income targets, by creatively finding new ways to partner and pitch to new school leads
·Ensuring that the Programme Coordinator team accurately collects and records vital data for impact reporting purposes, through confident use of Action Tutoring’s database, processes and systems.
· Lead on reviewing and improving programme delivery in the South West and South East through regular visits to schools and programmes. Using data to reliably assess programme performance and engaging with quality assurance processes to drive impact.
· Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in Action Tutoring’s partner schools in the South West and South East, including members of the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring strong retention of school partnerships each academic year.
· Take a lead, with support from others in Action Tutoring, on networking in the South West and South East. This could include connecting and attending events with other charities, universities and other organisations to build Action Tutoring’s presence locally.
· Work closely with the Marketing, Communication and Engagement teams to establish and maintain volunteer recruitment opportunities and channels in the South West and South East.
· Develop strategies, meet with new leads and attend events to ensure a sufficient supply of high- quality tutors for your region, effectively managing your tutor pool and signing tutors up to programmes.
· Lead on projects that support the programme department’s priorities and strategy, dependent on your individual skills e.g. safeguarding, curriculum, data.
· Report and work closely with SMT, including presenting to SMT and attendance of biannual Programme Manager training days to add input to future development of programme delivery.
· Facilitate wider team or programme team training to support the learning and development needs of frontline staff.

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).

You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. Together As One (formerly Aik Saath) has delivered a variety of youth services across Slough for over 25 years and a young carers service for almost 10 years.
“Young carers are children and young people (up to the age of 18 or 25 with SEND) whose life is affected by looking after someone with a disability or long-term illness. The person they care for may be a parent, a sibling, another family member or a friend, but need not necessarily live in the same house as them. The care that young carers give may be practical, physical and/or emotional.”
The terms ‘disability’ and ‘long-term illness’ do not just mean a physical disability or illness, but also cover, for example, mental illness, learning disability, substance misuse, frailty and old age.
Job Role
Working closely with the Chief Executive and the wider Together As One team, you will support the development and delivery of our Young Carers Service in Slough. This will involve the oversight of any emergent funding or contracts and the reporting requirements back to the funders. This post will involve adapting and coordinating a service around the service users’ needs.
You will work in partnership with Slough Children Frist and Slough Borough Council and ensure a coordinated approach to supporting young carers is maintained including the transition from a young carer to an adult carer pathway is developed and formed. Promotion of the service will be a key aspect of this role and you will ensure that the service is promoted across various platforms.
The role will be required to network and maintain relationships with our strategic partners, including the ability to attend key meetings to develop the Slough Young Carers offer. You will become the main point of contact for the triage of referrals and communications.

This role will see the successful candidate manage and develop a portfolio of successful national events. Key Responsibilities

Specifically, they focus on livelihood resilience, early warning systems and preparedness, and climate resilient WASH, across Nepal, the Philippines, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
About the role
We are now recruiting a knowledgeable and experienced Climate Resilience Programme Manager to continue leading our climate action strategy. The purpose of the role is to bring climate change expertise to grow, strengthen, deepen, and diversify our innovative programme portfolio, continue to minimise the negative environmental impacts of all of our programmes, and deepen our carbon emissions reduction strategy as we continue to expand the reach and impact of our organisation.
You will build strong partnerships by working closely alongside our local partners in programme design, technical knowledge, implementation and monitoring. It is anticipated that the post will include 3-4 overseas trips per annum.
The role affords huge scope for personal development, with the flexibility and autonomy needed to shape this critical area of programming. A particular objective will be to strengthen the M&E across the portfolio and access additional external funding for scaling up our climate resilience programmes.
You should have:
Essential
- Experience in the climate resilience sector and demonstrable knowledge of how to build and manage climate resilience programmes
- Knowledge of humanitarian and/or livelihoods programming, including monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL) processes is critical
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with overseas partners with varying levels of English.
- Strong administrative, research, analysis, numeracy and IT skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills with an ability to produce accurate, factual and compelling reports, proposals, and presentations

What does the Global Grant Manager, Finance & Operations role involve?
The Global Grants Manager is a critical role at CPI, primarily focused on enhancing the operational efficiency and financial compliance of our grant funded programmes. Reporting directly to the Acting Global Director of People, Finance, and Operations, this position requires a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in finance and grants management, who will work closely with programmatic teams and partner with stakeholders across the organisation.
The role will involve working directly with large global funders, as well as directly with sub grantees and suppliers on CPI programmes. This role will also provide overall finance support to our Europe team in collaboration with our Global Senior Associate, Finance and Operations. Our managers have overall responsibilities, obligations and duties around finance, budget performance, and strategic development. They create protocols and policies needed to help with organisational and programmatic delivery. This role will be responsible for receiving and reviewing partner expenditures and reports and preparing consolidated financial reports for donors as well as be accountable for day to day grant management and administration.
As someone whose work will include building relationships with everyone at CPI, you will be responsible for making sure our global teams are set up to succeed and assist in keeping our workplace a great place to work for everyone. This role will largely be focused on our Europe team, however you will support all CPI regions worldwide.

Finance & Accounting

Support efficient operations in accounts receivable and accounts payable in Europe and other CPI regions where required

Support donor compliance during reporting by using the right templates and budgetary ceilings as applicable

Who are we looking for?
