The Diocese of Guildford is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to serve as the Independent Chair of the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel.
The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) plays a vital role in the mission and ministry of the Diocese of Guildford in challenging and championing a positive culture of safeguarding across our parishes, Cathedral, and worshipping communities.
The Panel provides oversight of safeguarding arrangements in the Diocese and provides a source of independent advice, expertise, scrutiny and challenge on safeguarding strategy, policies and procedures.
As chair of the panel, you will work with a dedicated team of safeguarding experts, specialists and diocesan staff to ensure that the DSAP discharges its role of advising the Bishop of Guildford, the Diocesan Board of Finance and other senior leaders on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
The ideal candidate will:
· Have extensive professional safeguarding and leadership experience.
· Hold an Academic or professional qualification in social or health care, police, education or legal discipline.
· Have experience of chairing complex, professional meetings at senior level in an efficient manner.
· Have strong negotiation skills to assist in resolving any conflict between agencies.

Grant Support Executive

About the role
This post is responsible for building high level relationships across Christian Aid's sponsoring and other churches in the UK, that are mutually beneficial and deliver on strategic advocacy on shared priority issues, in particular economic justice, climate justice and conflict prevention issues. This includes working with Bishops in the Lords and other relevant parliamentarians (particularly within the Lords), as well as senior leaders across the range of Christian Aid's sponsoring churches and beyond. The role also works with global advocacy colleagues to support collaborative initiatives between church leaders in the UK and in the global South.
About you
You will be an excellent communicator and a strong advocate, with some experience of working with senior church leaders as advocacy partners, including in parliament. You will have an understanding of church structures in the UK and a basic knowledge of Christian faith and theology. You will also have a familiarity with global development issues and be confident in delivering written and verbal briefings on Christian Aid's priority issues . You must have strong inter-personal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Based in Scotland you will be responsible for maintaining our relationships with the main aplastic anaemia specialist treatment centres in Scotland as well as supporting our Scottish community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT). Our team is small, but mighty. Our current Support & Outreach (S&O) team is managed by our S&O Programme Manager and comprises two part-time S&O coordinators who have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately, with a six-month probation period. You will work 14 hours a week during core working hours, your working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit you although we will require you to attend staff meetings which take place on Thursday mornings.

THE APLASTIC ANAEMIA TRUST
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only UK charity providing information, advice and support to people affected by rare disease Aplastic Anaemia. Our vision is that everyone affected by Aplastic Anaemia in the UK should feel empowered and have access to the best possible treatment, care and support so they can lead full and healthy lives. We support our community through one of life’s toughest challenges – diagnosis with a rare bone marrow failure. We currently support around 2,400 people and have around 30 volunteers.

We are delighted to be recruiting for our next Director of Services, who'll manage our adult, family and youth services, supporting ADHD and Autistic people in NW London, their families, and the professionals who work with them. As a trusted member of our senior leadership team you will be driving impact for the more than 4,000 people we work with each year by:

The role will be based in our office in Eastcote for 3 days per week, with the possibility for home working for the remainder of the time.

Job Summary
CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.
As Director of Services, you will work closely with the CEO, leading on the management of the Adult Services, Youth Services and Family Services workstreams within the charity, ensuring the high quality service provision for which we are known. The role sits within the senior leadership team at CAAS, alongside the Finance Director, and manages the Youth Services Manager, the Family Services Manager and the Adult Services Manager, who in turn manage around 20 staff between them.
The Director of Services provides a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure and operational workings of the charity are effective for the more than 30 staff we employ, and the more than 11,000 instances of support we provide each year. Therefore, we are looking for a capable, calm, self-motivated, organised and hard-working Services professional who has worked in a management role directly responsible for service delivery in another charity.
The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent communication and relationship building skills, significant experience of operational service delivery, team leadership experience, the ability to articulate and drive our impact, and a good understanding of fundraising and monitoring requirements in a medium sized charity. Ultimately you will have the drive to ensure that everyone who works for us, and everyone who seeks support from us, has the best possible experience.
There is no requirement for any experience of delivering services that support ADHD / autistic individuals, as we will provide training, but it would be helpful to have a good understanding of the conditions, and the strengths and challenges they may bring. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to make an impact are essential.
Key Responsibilities – Strategic and Organisational
· To lead in the development and implementation of CAAS strategy in our work with service users, ensuring that all our services have a thoughtful strategic underpinning, and a measurable and significant positive impact for our clients. Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Marketing & Communications strategy. Work with the Director of Fundraising and Marketing Consultant to contribute to the development of the the Marketing and Communications Strategy. Lead the delivery of the strategy, track progress and report risks and opportunities to senior leadership team.
- Brand management and development. Maintain and evolve the charity's brand identity. Ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Social media management. Plan, schedule and create content for multiple channels. Ensure timely publication and distribution of content. Develop and manage social media content and campaigns. Monitor social media engagement and analytics to refine campaigns.
- Digital marketing. Lead the development of all digital marketing to achieve audience reach and income targets.

- Graphic Design. Using design software, create promotional and programme delivery materials such as brochures, posters, challenge event packs and social media graphics in line with brand guidelines. Create visual content for all digital platforms.
- Video Content Creation. Conduct interviews with beneficiaries on camera to capture their stories. Edit video footage optimising for use in large-scale event films and for social media content. Develop engaging video content to promote the charity's mission and activities.
- Copywriting & Copy Editing. Write and edit inspiring and engaging content for various digital platforms including website, e-newsletters, and social media. Develop compelling stories and case studies to highlight the charity's impact. Write press releases where appropriate and quarterly ‘Supporter Updates’ for major donors.
- Website Management. Oversee the development of a new website. Update and maintain the charity's website content in line with best SEO practice. Ensure integrations are working correctly i.e. website is correctly integrated with Zapier and is pulling through subscribers to Mailchimp.
- Internal Communications. Develop engaging staff communications and opportunities to share successes and drive motivation amongst staff. Seek new opportunities to share information team-wide.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. Therefore, the redevelopment project aims to create a cohesive website experience with clear user journeys and new functionality.

We are looking for a Housing Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (pro rata)
Location: Hammersmith and another London borough (tbc)

About the role:
We are excited to be taking the lead in the London Whole Housing Service Partnership (LWHSP) which will address and enhance the pathways of housing support for women experiencing domestic abuse, from removing them from immediate harm, to enabling recovery and resettlement across all levels of need. The LWHSP are seeking to build on our delivery across 11 East and West London boroughs of the Whole Housing Approach (WHA).
The Housing IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will specialise in working with clients for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a factor. You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. You will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to work as part of Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
About You:
As a Housing IDVA, you will need to have a degree of flexibility for colocation work across London boroughs; providing support to women who have experienced domestic violence, focusing on individuals with housing or tenancy issues. Working in our fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy and support service, you’ll ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will have your own caseload of survivors and will focus on working with those aged 18 and over who access our domestic abuse service.
You will bring experience in providing independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women who approach housing advice and assessment for help. Ideally experience in working with housing service providers, and advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies. You will have the ability to develop individual safety and support plans in-line with the clients’ needs and the risks they face.

Role Summary
Speakers For Schools is looking for a senior and experienced Evaluation Manager to lead and oversee an impact evaluation project.. This role requires a dedicated professional to manage the day-to-day operations of an independent evaluation conducted by an external agency.
The Evaluation Manager will ensure the project is executed smoothly, meets its objectives, and delivers high-quality, actionable insights. This position is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, a solid background in evaluation methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
The Evaluation Manager works closely with the Director of Policy, Research and Impact and the Director of Programme and Delivery to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for the evaluation delivery, and it involves a great level of internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Strategic Purpose:
· Lead the evaluation project, ensuring it adheres to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
· Serve as the primary point of contact between the external evaluation agency, internal stakeholders and the funder.
· Monitor the progress of the evaluation, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that milestones are met.
· Make informed, timely, and effective decisions to drive the project forward. The candidate should be able to analyse complex situations, consider various perspectives, and choose the best course of action to resolve issues and make progress.
Engagement:
· Coordination and facilitation of effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved, including staff, partners, and the evaluation agency.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including the Programmes and Delivery Directorate, Technology and Data team and Communications
· Collaborate with the Data Compliance team to ensure adherence to data integrity and security standards
· Prepare and present regular updates to senior management and the funding body, highlighting key findings and progress.
Delivery:
· Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure data quality, completeness, and integrity.
· Work closely with the evaluators to address any discrepancies or issues identified during data collection or analysis.
· Develop a how-to-guide for future impact evaluations for the charity and design a knowledge transfer tool during the course of the project
· Develop and implement processes for data validation and verification to improve accuracy and reliability.
· Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.
· Ensure safeguarding best practices are embedded in all organisational activities.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
Essential
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in evaluation, impact or a related field.
· Knowledge and experience of both quantitative & qualitative research and evaluation methods, tools and techniques
· Highly numerate and computer literate, including advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as a wider range of project management, CRM and internal communication tools
· Experience in analysing, interpreting and presenting data; Familiarity with evaluation methodologies and best practices
