The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development -CAFOD, is an international development and relief charity. It is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. CAFOD is part of the global Caritas Internationalis confederation and a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) in the UK. They work in more than 40 countries, with more than 500 local partners, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice through practical support, emergency relief and advocacy.

This role is offered on a permanent basis paying a salary of £38,613 to £41,852 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their office in London.

The post holder will play a key role in delivering CADOD’s fundraising programme. They will help develop and implement operational plans, manage a portfolio of existing donors and work to identify prospective new donors and their networks. They will work alongside a collaborative and talented team of fundraising professionals who support and encourage each other to reach their fundraising and operational goals.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in managing major gift relationships at five-figure giving level. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of implementing donor cultivation and stewardship plans – including online and offline appeals, tailored approaches and feedback communications; face-to-face meetings; event management. They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in prospect research and portfolio management. Supported Lodgings Coordinator

About the Role

The Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator role is a busy and varied one. You will be responsible for ensuring all young people referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their hosts. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of hosts, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.

Wigan Supported Lodgings service will work across the different neighborhoods in Wigan and you will be responsible for the effective delivery of it.

Your work will be underpinned by the organisations Endeavour model of assets based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of which is to ensure that every young person leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Your work will also be underpinned by the organisations model of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy informed delivery, the aim of which is to support our clients to understand and act on their values, strengths, and long-term vision for their future.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the Deputy Supported Lodgings Manager and the Greater Manchester Prevention Team you will be responsible for young people needing longer term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

Key responsibilities include:

• To be the first point of contact for young people and referral partners wanting to access the Supported Lodgings service.

• You will lead on the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for the safeguarding, matching and placement of young people in the homes of hosts

• Arrange all aspects of a young person’s stay with a host, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported, taking into account the support needs of individuals.

• You will have responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for young people and hosts through regular checks and reporting.

• To work with young people, hosts and other agencies, to prepare them for independent living and access longer term, appropriate accommodation using support plans.

• You will be part of a team responsible for a 24 hour on call service

• You will recruit, vet and train hosts both formally and informally ensuring that the host recruitment policies and procedures are implemented.

• You will be responsible for carrying out regular checks on host accommodation and assisting them to make necessary changes.

• You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the well being and ongoing housing needs of young people, working in accordance with safeguarding, data protection and information sharing protocols.

• You will lead on the active promotion and selling of the Supported Lodgings service to all potential hosts and referral partners, across the voluntary/statutory sectors and within the wider local community.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Experience and an understanding of working with people experiencing homelessness, or people in crisis

• Experience of supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.

• Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating risk assessments

• Experience of supervising or supporting hosts or staff

• An understanding and commitment to working in an assets based way

• Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures and follow them through to conclusion

• High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain them

• Effective collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a passionate interim Head of Finance to lead and provide high quality support to the finance function for 18 months while the permanent Head of Finance is seconded to a change programme.

The Interim Head of Finance will sit on the Senior Leadership team and participate in the decision making at the museum.  They will also lead on providing financial support to the major capital projects and to the Trustees on financial matters, especially the Audit Committee. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Leading on budgeting and forecasting for the organization;

· Delivering a strong customer-facing business partnering function, providing a high level of financial analysis;

· Overseeing the process to produce the annual statutory accounts, leading on the relationship with the NAO and other key stakeholders;

· Managing, motivating and developing a medium sized team.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience gained in the Charity, Commercial or wider Public Sector. You will be analytically-minded with excellent organisational and project management skills. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, flexible in approach but firm when necessary, who can work on their own initiative and thrives when thinking and acting proactively. You be able to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders and possess the ability to influence and build rapport with a range of finance and non-finance persons across the organisation. Finance and Partnership Specialist

About the role:

In this role, you are responsible to provide regular support and guidance to partners on grants and budgets, collaborate on financial planning and monitoring, and assist WaterAid Nepal with financial management, reporting, and cash flow projections.

You'll also:

• Conduct financial monitoring visit to Partner NGOs and prepare visit report and follow-up on implementation of recommendations on monitoring visit.
• Support external/internal/donor members while conducting partner audit and timely follow up on implementation of the recommendation in report.
• Review fund disbursement request and ensure appropriate disbursement of fund.
• Facilitate training/refreshers on financial management for NGOs staff based on partner capacity assessment/due diligence and performance review for healthy financial management system.
• Check partner internal control system & procedures and review their relevant policies.
• Complete review of WAN financial documents and expenses.
• Ensure monthly monitoring of budget utilisation in line with program plan. Preparation of monthly budget variance, working closely with budget holders further supporting budget holders with finance information.
• Participate and conduct meetings with relevant project team on supporting their financial management.
• Providing guidance to project team on key donor, WAN compliances.

About you:

To be successful, you'll need to have

• Master's degree in Management with Finance or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role working directly with local implementing partners
• IT skills particularly Excel, Outlook, MS Word (knowledge of SUN, FAMA preferred).
• Accounting, Taxation, Procurement knowledge in complex financial rules and regulation.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in multicultural
• Willing to learn new finance related IT systems and procedures and software.
• Aware of the various donors' systems and reporting formats.

Role Requirements

Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.

•  Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.

• Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains, and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.

About the Hearings Panel
The Hearings Panel’s work relates to our Fitness to Practise functions. The Panel consists of around 70 members, lay (non-registrant) and registrant, from whom members of our Fitness to Practise Committees (FtPCs) and Registration Appeals Committees (RACs) are drawn. As a lay chair member of our Hearings Panel, you will chair either FtPCs or RACs.

You do not have to be a legally qualified individual or have specialist medical knowledge for this role. We are looking for individuals who can chair meetings effectively and impartially, ensure that allegations are considered fairly and independently, and that standards are maintained for registrants and the protection of the public.

A FtPC considers whether a registrant’s fitness to practise is impaired and imposes sanctions if appropriate to do so. This includes considering allegations, hearing evidence, and determining the fitness to practise, train or carry on business of our registrants.

A FtPC also determines whether it is necessary for interim measures (suspension or conditions) to be put in place whilst an investigation is in progress for the protection of members of the public or in the interests of a registrant.

A RAC considers an appeal against a decision by our Registrar to refuse to enter or restore an individual or business to the appropriate register; and applications for restoration by former registrants who have been erased by the FtPC.

Remuneration and time commitment

Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service will support individuals transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.

Consists of working 5 days a week across all days, 8 hours shifts starting at either 8am or 2pm.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of PR & Media, the role will help deliver key national media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke and raise the profile of our stroke research.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Managing the team to deliver a proactive, effective and 24/7 press office, building relationships with identified media and opinion formers, and ensure timely media responses based on organisational and reputational priorities.

· Working with the Campaigns and Public Affairs team to plan and deliver influencing activity to key stakeholders, Stroke Association campaigners and the general public.

· Working with the Research Communications team to lead the PR approach in promoting grant opportunities, new research and responding to media enquiries.

About You

You will have experience of:

· Drafting, executing and monitoring PR plans against identified briefs and overarching objectives, to deliver strategic communications objectives and to promote specific campaigns

· Managing productive long-term relationships with news and health journalists in the national media

· Working with Policy and Research functions to deliver sustained media coverage, with a strong call to action, ideally in the healthcare sector
