Key responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Management
- Develop and implement the charity’s financial strategy to align it to the charity’s main strategy and support long-term goals.
- Provide financial insights to the leadership team to guide decision-making and resource allocation.

Day to Day Financial Duties

- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including VAT, Gift Aid, and charity reporting standards.
- In conjunction with our investment advisers, support the trustees and CEO with the management of an investment portfolio including the planning of necessary drawdowns for cashflow management purposes.
- Oversee the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring robust controls are in place.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a financial advisor to the CEO, trustees and senior leadership team on all matters.
- Present financial reports at board and committee meetings, explaining complex financial data in an accessible way.
- Work closely with fundraising, operations and medico legal teams to align financial plans with organisational objectives.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior finance staff and/or volunteers, as applicable.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent financial experience.
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a charity or non-profit organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK charity accounting standards (SORP) and regulatory requirements as they apply to charities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Sage) and Microsoft Excel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Analysis and reporting
o Lead on the delivery of dashboards, KPI reports, analysis and insights to the organisation to drive organisational decisions and demonstrate our impact.

o Run regular reports to communicate our database reach and scope, including using Power BI for data visualisation.

· Campaign management and data selection support
o Support fundraising team and community engagement teams with their data selections for email, mail shots, webinars, survey distribution and any other communication to members or supporters. Work with colleagues to understand their data needs, then schedule and project manage all data selections and segmentation.
o Work to ensure smooth data management from start to finish of campaigns.
· Data and database lead
o Lead on all data activity for the Charity, being responsible for the integrity of our data and adherence to protocols.
o Identify developments needed to the MS Dynamics database system to help the organisation achieve its goals.
o Ensure our database serves as a single customer view by connecting data through automations (supporting our external database provider).
o Build supportive relationships with colleagues to ensure their data needs are fully understood and met, including ensuring the right data is available for email selections (Dot Digital).
o Provide training and support to staff so they are able to confidently use the database as relevant to their roles.
o Creating and/or improving data-related policies and processes.

The Policy Officer will be key to helping the Joint Policy Unit achieve these objectives.
The role-holder will support the unit in delivering on our programme of policy work, and to support our external engagement so that saving babies’ lives is a key part of NHS/government policy across the UK. This will include work on a range of projects and outputs. The role-holder will play a lead role in supporting the unit’s responses to government consultations and inquiries, and engagement with new strategies and plans for the health service.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the policy environment, ability to analyse policy and develop high-quality written outputs. You will be a great communicator with the ability to translate insights into clear messages for different audiences (e.g. policymakers, stakeholders, supporters and the public).
Experience of leading and managing projects is essential for this role, as is a clear understanding of the relationship between research, policy and practice. Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of the current policy environment as it relates to reducing baby loss and tackling inequalities, as well as enthusiasm for continued learning and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Youth Participation Lead

An experienced major donor fundraiser, you will relish the opportunity to own and launch a strategy and implement a long-term engagement plan to strengthen Major Donor relationships that will deliver a new and sustainable income stream.
On the back of continued growth due to successful fundraising performance over the last 5 years, we are ready to take the next step in our fundraising strategy and launch a Philanthropy Giving programme. About the job
In this temporary position, the Program Officer will fill a unique, multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to leverage their program management experience to help lead a complex global coalition at the intersection of human rights and technology. This is a temporary position, maternity leave cover, with an expected end date of April 15, 2026. This position will support a global Internet freedom initiative that will support local civil society, independent media, and human rights defenders to better prevent and respond to digital repression in their own contexts, particularly in repressive contexts. The activity focuses on building long-term, local resilience among civil society through a networked approach involving global, regional, and local actors. The activity provides technical assistance on digital security, digital governance advocacy and engagement, censorship circumvention, and holistic legal, psychosocial, and physical security support.
Under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Party and in coordination with the larger project team (including the Advisors and Chief of Party), the Program Officer will oversee the implementation of activities, ensuring strong coordination with other project objectives, and compliance with USAID and Internews policies. The Program Officer will work closely with project partners, support internal coordination efforts, and be responsible for effectively sharing the impact and successes of the program. Further, the Program Officer will support, when needed, the business development, start up and oversight of related Associate Awards and Buy-Ins.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:
Program/Project Management:
- Provide project management and program implementation oversight, strategic planning, analysis, personnel, grants, procurement and finance tasks as needed.
- Serve as primary point of contact for regional and local partners
- Assist in the development of team systems, norms and practices.
- Supervise at least one (1) full-time staff, including assigning work, approving timesheets and managing their workload (as needed).

- Manage the implementation, communication and programmatic oversight of all subgrants (PASS and HQ managed) issued under Civic DEFENDERS. This includes reviewing the prospective grantee applications, program and design, budget negotiations, payments and partner reporting.
- Ensure all funder approval request packages are complete and ready to be sent by the COP/DCOP.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the Civic DEFENDERS digital governance activities, in coordination with the COP, DCOP and Business Management team.
- In coordination with the Business Management team, ensure program implementation complies with funder requirements and Internews’ policies and procedures.
- Oversee the implementation of personal service contracts, outside service contracts and simple service contracts.

The Role
The team are determined to increase the prominence of legacies both internally and externally in order to grow and protect this important income stream, which accounts for over half of donated income.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Key Strategic Deliverables will include the following:
· Lead on strategic financial management of Internews Europe, promoting effective and efficient processes to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organisation.

ABOUT THE JOB
This is an exciting new support role created to provide support to the team, and the CEO. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide high-quality administrative support to the Teaching Awards Trust, ensuring the efficient operation of the charity’s virtual office and daily activities. This includes offering confidential personal assistant (PA) services to the CEO and Board of Trustees, as well as providing cross-functional support to the wider team in areas such as fundraising, human resources, awards management, marketing, and event coordination. As this is a new role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and grow the role to make it your own.
ABOUT YOU
A track record of at least 4/5 years’ experience providing PA/Administrative support, ideally at a senior or executive level, with experience within the education/charity sector advantageous.
You will have excellent organisation skills with a strong attention to detail as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to build strong, collaborative relationships both internally and externally is essential for you to be able to hit the ground running in this new role.
As with other jobs of this level, a high level of discretion and confidentiality is needed when dealing with sensitive information
Overall, you will be looking for the opportunity to make a real difference in your role and to help support of aims of the trust.
ABOUT OUR BENEFITS
A salary of £30-35,000 per annum. You will be home based with some need to travel for team meetings and other events. Annual leave is 25 days excluding bank holidays, Employer pension contributions of 6%, Learning and Development packages are also available.

The Humanitarian Trainee Scheme presents an unparalleled learning opportunity for early career professionals who are committed to a career in humanitarian work. The Humanitarian Trainee Scheme consists of an 18-month pathway designed to provide in-depth exposure to humanitarian health programming through a structured professional development plan where you will embed in a team and contribute actively to the daily work and priorities in the team and wider organisation both in Headquarters and in the field whilst engaging in formal and informal professional development opportunities through training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, etc.
As a trainee, you will:
- Embed in a team in UK-Med headquarters where you will contribute to our broad preparedness and activities within Health, Operations or Logistics.
- Deploy internationally to assist in delivering humanitarian health responses.
- Participate in tailored training, mentoring, and shadowing to build your skills and experience.
We are looking for three motivated individuals, each focused on one of the key areas:
- Health Trainee
- Operations Trainee
- Logistics Trainee
You will have relevant qualifications (e.g., a degree or postgraduate qualification depending on the role) and a keen interest in the humanitarian sector. Some professional and international experience is essential, along with a strong drive to develop your career in one of these critical fields.
