We provide a specialist 1:1 service for young women and girls aged 11-25 living, studying or based in close proximity to Barnet and neighbouring boroughs.
Our long term, 18 months support, programme engages young women and girls with direct experiences of relationship abuse, sexual violence, intra-familial abuse, exploitation, and/or where there are significant risk indicators present in the young persons life that may increase their exposure to harm.
Young women and girls are referred through professional, self and peer or familial pathways and will be engaged in weekly or fortnightly support. The service is offered from a space safe for them, including our community spaces, at their home or within their educational setting.
How our service is different from traditional IDVA models:

We offer long term support for up to 18 months, enabling you to build trusted and safe relationships that exceed immediate, crisis intervention and also focus on implementing a support package for continued development once a survivor has achieved immediate safety

We keep our caseloads low and manageable, supporting no more than 10 young women and girls at any one time. This has been proven to reduce stress and burn out, whilst increasing your capacity to create a targeted and needs-based response for each young person

Our interventions are holistic and flexible, ranging from trips and outings, to visits in school, at home or a safe local community space. This approach enables you to have more freedom over how the intervention is shaped and delivered, reducing rigidity and any feelings the relationship is impersonal

Our team enables the transformative work of Tearfund around the world by serving Tearfund's UK based supporters. The successful candidate will be working on one of Tearfund's front lines providing a personal link and building relationships between our supporters and ourselves. Your role will involve answering supporter queries by email, letter and answering telephone calls from supporters; as well as to carry out additions, deletions and amendments to the supporter database, in order to maintain and increase the accuracy of the database.
Our team also manages Toilet Twinning & Tearfund Resources orders. This will also be answering supporter queries and working with an external fulfilment house to ensure that orders are sent out in a timely manner.

Fundraising Supporter Development Coordinator

CUF equips people and churches to build just and flourishing communities where they live, so everyone across England can access support when they need it most.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing
- The post holder will help advance Ukie’s policy work on aspects of UK and international policy impacting the games and interactive entertainment industry through:
- Monitoring policy changes and providing in-depth policy analysis, research, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Relationship building and engagement with Ukie members and wider sector stakeholders, including attendance at internal and external stakeholder meetings and coalition industry groups.
- Support the Senior Policy Manager in research for Ukie’s external consultation responses, co-ordinating with members and facilitating internal forums for discussions on particular issues.
- Support in organising events and engagement with policy makers within Whitehall, Westminster, the Devolved Governments and with regional, combined and local authorities as well as with our global partners in the EU, US and further afield.
- Assisting the policy and research teams with major public affairs projects and campaigns according to the UKIEs internal strategy and drawing on Ukie’s internal data and external partners where appropriate.
- Supporting and promoting Ukie at external political meetings, including our bi-annual Westminster Games Week.

Qualifications and experience required for this role
Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a degree to apply for this role, but experience of working in a policy facing role, public affairs agency or regulatory environment would be advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided via Ukie or external providers where appropriate.

You will be a Youth and Wellbeing Practitioner/Assistant Psychologist who is passionate about supporting MAC-UK’s objective of working collaboratively with young people, innovating services and systems and their approach to mental health, to address health and social inequalities. You will be working in one of three London properties alongside a large multi-agency staff team made up of experts by experience/profession in psychology and therapy; youth work; offending; education, training, and employment (ETE) and housing. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life. Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in. In this period of a new government, we have an ambitious programme of events planned under our Political Leadership theme and we are recruiting an events assistant to join us for one year to support the additional work anticipated, as well as assist on Green Alliance’s other core events. This work will significantly involve varied activity under our new one year training programme for the environment sector, Project Boost, which includes retreats, workshops and panel discussions.

This role is part of Green Alliance’s communications team. We are looking for an Outreach Senior Caseworker with experience of delivering effective advocacy on behalf of people from marginalised communities. This role will play a key role in the delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London. The outreach service will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners.
As part of DOTWs Services team, you will support the service by proactively promoting DOTW’s service at individual accommodation sites, providing social assessments for residents and their dependents, escalating health issues of any immediate concern, and support responses to urgent health and/or safeguarding concerns. As part of a culture of best practice, you will ensure adherence to DotW policies and will provide support resolving complex cases, deploying your demonstrative experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care and/or advice and support to people seeking asylum or from other excluded communities.
You will lead by example, demonstrating effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills, The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to work productively and constructively within a close-knit team by demonstrating an open and responsive attitude and using your excellent communication skills.
You will have strong IT skills and ideally a driving licence to be able to support us to deliver our services in our dedicated mobile clinic vans. You will have the skills to work independently and manage your own and volunteers' health and safety, sometimes working alone.
You will be supported by an experienced team, regular line management, and clinical supervision. Skills in Basic Life Support, First Aid, safeguarding, mental health management, and trauma-informed approaches will be provided.

About the Panel
No child should ever suffer harm, abuse or neglect, and reducing this is the primary focus of the independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel.
Set up by the UK Government in 2018, the Panel reviews all cases when children die or are seriously harmed, and abuse or neglect is known or suspected. The aim is to see what lessons can be drawn from these tragic incidents to prevent them from happening again elsewhere.
About the role
The independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel is looking for a part-time chair.
The Chair is responsible for leading and managing the Panel. They must set the strategic vision for the Panel and ensure the Panel’s work is effective in improving the safeguarding of children. It is also vital they influence policy and practice change effectively to maximise the Panel’s impact on child safeguarding.
It is a varied role, which includes working with Ministers and senior government officials, supervising fieldwork, undertaking analysis and disseminating learning to those working in child safeguarding.
We are looking for individuals with experience working strategically at a senior level and operationally in child protection. However, the successful candidate will be appointed to fill this role as an individual acting in the public interest and not as a representative of their particular profession, employer or interest group.
The Chair will be required to attend fortnightly Panel meetings, either virtually or in-person in London. They must also be available to attend ad hoc meetings with key stakeholders, as well as working with a Secretariat.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide strategic leadership for the Panel, leading the development and implementation of a strategic vision for the Panel, ensuring a focus on Panel’s impact.
- To be ultimately responsible and accountable for the Panel’s work and conduct of its functions. This includes taking urgent decisions on behalf of the whole Panel when required.
- To lead continuous improvement reviews of Panel work and membership to ensure its ongoing effectiveness. This includes leading long-term planning for Panel membership.
- To ensure the Panel demonstrates the highest standards of integrity at all times, including ensuring the identification and management of any conflicts of interest which might arise.
- Chairing Panel meetings effectively so that objectives are met, ensuring that all members views are taken into account. This includes creating a culture of openness, debate and collaboration that maximises use of all members skills and experience.
- To represent the Panel to the public, media, and children’s social care and safeguarding sector.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with Multi-Agency Safeguarding Partners at both national and local level.
Essential Criteria
- The ability to provide strong strategic leadership to the Panel and guide the work of the independent secretariat, demonstrated by a significant record of achievement in senior leadership roles in a complex organisation.
- The ability to chair high level meetings, manage team dynamics and motivate team members effectively so that objectives are met and clear decisions made.
- The ability to think strategically and exercise sound independent judgement on complex and sensitive issues.
- The ability to analyse and interpret detailed information from a range of agencies into serious cases involving children and families.
- Being a skilled communicator and influencer, who can use those skills to handle high-profile, sensitive issues and gain and keep the respect and confidence of others, including the child safeguarding sector, Ministers, and the public, to influence policy and practice change.
- A strong understanding of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.

Stewardship is a vital part of this ambition. We plan to recruit record numbers of supporters in the coming years and the stewardship team is essential for engaging these supporters and encouraging them to support us long term.
Within this role you will create inspiring supporter journeys for new and existing supporters using a variety of channels including direct mail, email, telephone and SMS. You will be responsible for sourcing case studies and information which demonstrate the impact of our supporters’ donations. You will use this content to create engaging communications which bring supporters closer to our work, making them feel excited about supporting Alzheimer’s Society.
