As the Finance Director, you will manage the efficient and effective running of the finance department and lead on the strategic development of CSW’s multi-year financial planning providing responsive reporting and adaptive forecasting to the CEO, the SLT (of which you will be part) and the charity’s Board of Trustees. You will be an excellent financial professional, self-motivated and passionate about your work. You are proactive and willing to work well with others to achieve targets. To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant financial qualification or be qualified by experience. You will have substantial experience at middle or senior financial management level in the commercial or not-for-profit sector, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire people when working in a team. You will possess strong strategic planning skills, and a good grasp of key charity accounting and database software; principally Sage Line 50, Raiser’s Edge, electronic/online banking, Microsoft Office, especially Excel at advanced level. You should have good knowledge of financial budgetary and accounting systems, as well as the ability to ensure operational excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to join International Alert’s Global Fundraising Team.
As part of the team, you will help us access the right funding to deliver impactful peacebuilding programmes around the world. You’ll work with our programme teams on strategy and planning, building donor relationships and creating compelling proposals. Alongside this, you’ll join a team helping to build the systems and tools to create a strong global platform for fundraising across the organisation.
We are looking for an excellent candidate with fluency in both French and English (written and spoken), with a proven ability to: secure grants from institutional funders for peacebuilding, development and/ or humanitarian programmes; proactively build donor relationships and identify funding opportunities; provide support to country and global teams to develop successful proposals; develop programme budgets with full cost recovery; build and manage global commercial tender and framework opportunities; and contribute to internal communications, fundraising systems and pipeline management.

Role duties and responsibilities:
Identifying funding opportunities
- Proactively seek information on potential donor opportunities, and help colleagues adapt their programming ideas to suit particular donor interests. Undertake targeted horizon scanning and networking to identify upcoming global funding opportunities.
- In coordination with Global Fundraising team colleagues, proactively build relationships with donor headquarters and potential INGO and other consortium partners.
- Keep up to date on new rules and ways of working in the grant and commercial contracting sector, and share important intel with colleagues.
- Collaborate with relevant colleagues to sharpen Alert’s offer, and ensure Alert has up-to-date capacity statements in all relevant areas.
- Support colleagues to ensure the CRM and the organisational pipeline are kept up to date with all new relevant information.
Support to country and global programme teams
- In line with resource allocation decisions led by the Head of Fundraising, provide support to country hubs and global programmes teams to design and secure high quality peacebuilding programmes, including mapping, research, identifying and engaging directly with donors, writing proposals and designing appropriate budgets, and supporting country hubs to undertake all of these tasks.
- Provide donor-specific guidance to support strategic go/no go decision making, effective targeting and tailoring of bids and ensure donor compliance.
- Support country hubs and global programme teams to ensure submission of full cost recovery budgets, including advising on adequate personnel resourcing of activities, and country and global shared cost recovery.
- Provide training and learning opportunities for colleagues on specific aspects of fundraising, including specific donor requirements for grants, commercial contracts and full cost recovery budget design.
Bid, framework and consortium coordination
- Coordinate the bid development process for global grant funding or global commercial tender opportunities including programme delivery contracts, framework bids and consultancies.
- Provide written inputs to proposals and tender documents and gather relevant information including CVs and documents to demonstrate compliance.
- Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure quality financial/commercial proposals in line with donor, organisational and legal requirements.
- Where required, act as coordinator for any framework agreements, ensuring all key stakeholders have timely access to information and facilitating quality tender submissions, and any other framework requirements, including monitoring, reporting, donor and consortium liaison, contracting, developing capacity statements.
- Monitor and share draw down opportunities, facilitating go/no-go processes and ensuring compliance with agreed timeframes.
Organisational contributions
- Contribute to internal communications and knowledge management, ensuring these are adopted by country hubs, and participate in organisation-wide events and discussions.
- Occasionally supervise volunteers and procure and monitor the work of consultants as required.
- Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the role, as required by the Head of Fundraising.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income Generation team at Bluebell Wood and we are now on the lookout for a dynamic and driven individual to develop and manage the organisation prize-led fundraising income streams.
Bluebell Wood’s weekly lottery and seasonal raffles are crucial for our care funds. Using your strategic thinking and commercial experience, you will oversee prize-led development and operations, ensuring targeted income levels are achieved in line with relevant governance.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Individual Giving Manager to implement strategies to ensure participation grows year on year in alignment with the business plan, whilst also working to both maximize the net contribution of all Bluebell Wood gambling products and to develop new products with this donor audience in mind.

This is an exciting time to join our Advocacy & Engagement Team, the successful postholder will be involved in looking into different ways of engaging and supporting people to take action for nature. You will be assisting the Engagement Officer onsite to support and lead the education and engagement offer. This includes teaching and leading environmental activities with a wide variety of groups, from preschool to A level, youth groups to adult special interest groups and the public. The role will work onsite at Blashford Lakes, also supporting education settings to learn and grow their own spaces for nature, through our Wilder Schools programme.
The role involves supervising volunteers and Outdoor Learning Tutors, taking on management in the Engagement Officers absence. You will also take responsibility for the Education Centre and the sites day to day running, supporting the site team. This involves ensuring the smooth running of a multifunctional site that has significant wildlife value and a busy site for a variety of site users. Weekend, bank holiday and evening work will be required as part of the role.

Salary

As Examinations Coordinator (Clinical) you will support the Overseas Examinations Manager by coordinating the operational delivery of all aspects of MRCPCH clinical examination activity, engaging clinicians to deliver examinations to the required standard, on schedule and to budget.
This is a crucial role within the Clinical Assessments Team as you will undertake routine forward planning to work with the Overseas Examination Manager to support hosts for exams and related exam preparation whilst also supporting the recruitment, training and performance review of MRCPCH examiners.
With line management responsibility for two administrators, you will provide input into monitoring and evaluating each clinical exam delivered, to ensure standards are maintained and candidate and examiner feedback is captured, whilst identifying and reporting on key concerns for future improvement, development and delivery.
In addition, you will provide committee administration support, including developing schedules for committees, ensuring they adhere to RCPCH Governance arrangements.
Educated to A-level standard or with relevant experience in a similar role, you will have outstanding communication skills and be adept at managing stakeholder relationships.
With an awareness of the principles of effective project management, risk mitigation, risk management and governance, you will be able to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations.

Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX) is an organisation working towards an end to labour exploitation by addressing the systems and structures that make workers vulnerable to abuse. FLEX seeks to achieve this vision through the prevention of labour abuses, protection of the rights of those affected or at risk of exploitation and by promoting best practice responses to labour exploitation through research and evidence-based advocacy.
About the role:
FLEX is looking for someone with a passion for improving working conditions in service sectors, such as cleaning. In this role, you will support the development of more sustainable corporate responses through the development of a worker-informed human rights due diligence programme for businesses that contract cleaning services. Drawing on a 2-year pilot where we developed a worker-informed human rights due diligence framework, this work involves a strong worker-engagement element.
Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment for FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for ensuring workers are at the centre and actively involved in shaping solutions that work for them. You will be working in a dynamic team developing this programme, so this role will require flexibility and ability to adapt.
Key responsibilities:
Project Delivery :
- Planning, delivering and evaluating worker engagement activities, in line with FLEX’s strategy, safeguarding protocols and approach, ensuring the workers views inform all project outputs, including reports.
- Supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of robust safeguarding protocols for worker engagement.
- Drafting relevant project outputs, including resources for workers, company reports and other outputs for external communication.
- Collecting data and documentation and supporting assessments and critical reviews of business policies, practices, engaging with participating companies (desk-based, interviews and surveys), as relevant.
- Developing actionable recommendations to support companies to improve their policies and practices.
- Organising regular partnership meetings, preparing and sending out meeting packs, scheduling meetings, facilitating members’ effective participation, and taking minutes.
- Maintaining FLEX’s worker-informed tools, including human rights assessment toolkit in line with international standards and UK law that incorporates issues identified by workers at risk of exploitation.
- Keeping abreast of worker-driven corporate responsibility initiatives focusing on cleaning to inform the pilot design.
- Developing a roadmap with clear referral pathways for businesses identifying labour abuses and potential victims of labour exploitation.
- Delivering activities within budget and liaising with consultants and/or independent contractors;
- Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans, producing progress and learning reports for internal and external purposes.
- Extracting learnings from experience to inform FLEX’s methodologies for meaningful worker engagement.
Policy and advocacy
- Represent FLEX and networks at external meetings, as required.
- Keeping abreast of the wider relevant policy and legislative context and identifying relevant advocacy intervention opportunities.
- Supporting internal comms and coordination across teams.
Other
- Help maintain a regular social media presence for FLEX;
- Scope, draft and support fundraising bids relevant to this role;

•Arrange internal meetings and take minutes/list of actions for example team meetings, team training days.
•Organise quarterly board meetings, disseminate information to board members and take minutes.•Manage a team calendar of critical dates such as insurance renewals, etc.
•Assist with general finance admin e.g. preparing invoices, making payments, receipts, bank forms and relaying information between the CFO, third parties and the rest of the team.
