The flats are owned by Bromford Housing Association and Focus Birmingham provides care packages for the tenants who reside there. Our staff empower tenants to carry out their daily tasks, by promoting their independence and individual preferences. Tenants are encouraged and supported to access and fully participate in activities at Millward Place. 
 
We are looking for a Support worker who will empower tenants at Millward to achieve their goals and aspirations. This particular role is a permanent position for 35 hours per week, Rota shift pattern: Monday- Sunday (7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm)

The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) is the voice of firefighters in the UK, representing uniformed front line emergency staff of the fire and rescue services.  We are the only recognised trade union negotiating nationally for firefighters and emergency fire control staff.

We're seeking a passionate and driven individual to lead, strengthen and develop the equalities work of the union.  You will achieve this by increasing the impact of equalities campaigns, education and projects.  Working collaboratively with officials of all levels of the union, and particularly the equalities sections, as well as colleagues in the education and policy & research departments, your work will make a real difference to the lived experience of FBU members.

You will design and deliver schools and seminars for equality section members and reps as well as designing, co-ordinating and delivering on campaigns and initiatives around equality, equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-harassment, fairness, culture and culture change. 

Having empathy with under-represented groups, you will be resilient and able to relate to a wide spectrum of people, such as firefighters, lay officials, senior officials and members of the public. You will have a demonstrable ability to make change in the context of equalities issues, along with a proven track record of developing and delivering education, training and campaigns, ideally in relation to equalities.

The role will be based in the FBU head office and there will be some travel and working away from home.  Head office is currently at Kingston upon Thames and will be relocating to central London (Vauxhall) in approximately 3-4 months.

Purpose of the Role

This role will provide effective administrative support to the Fundraising Team at Race Against Dementia.

The Fundraising Officer will work specifically on incoming Individual Donors, Legacy Donors and supporting Commercial Partnership Agreements.  In addition to these tasks, they will support the Fundraising Team with record keeping, and support various fundraising activities throughout the year.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To support individual donors throughout their donation journey, including the direct debit and monthly individual donations.
• Management and communication of legacy donations, including in memory donations and the supporting fundraising portals.
• Support the maintenance of in place Commercial Partnership Agreements, managing payments, services and contract completion dates.
• Ensure that all fundraising enquiries by telephone and email are responded to quickly and appropriately and escalated, if required, to the right member of the Fundraising Team. 
• Daily management of the CRM system (eTapestry), to keep accurate and up-to-date records regarding our donors in order to support the Finance Manager.
• Be the lead for the stock of merchandise and fundraising resources.  This will involve maintaining an inventory and re-ordering fundraising stock as necessary. 
• Support ad hoc fulfilment of fundraising materials and packs to supporters in conjunction with our fulfilment centre and online shop set up.
• Support the administration of wider fundraising campaigns and events where required with the Community Fundraising Manager.
• Lead on recording all donated auction items and raffle prizes for fundraising events
• Support the wider Fundraising team with any ad-hoc administrative tasks.
• Attend appropriate training where necessary.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by the CDO, CEO or Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives that are of benefit to Race Against Dementia to support the fundraising team with ideas.
• To administer own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system. 
• To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.

What you’ll do​

As an Area Manager, your role is to increase our partner numbers and support engagement with our existing schools and colleges, helping them to make the most of the Unifrog platform. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you will make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are positive and successful. 

You will cover your own area of the country - the Midlands and East Anglia region - with occasional travel to these locations (on average 1-2 days per week).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Meeting with potential partners at schools and colleges (in person and via video call). You’ll demonstrate the Unifrog platform, convey our mission to level the playing field for students and look to secure their ongoing subscription.
• Supporting schools with constructing their long and short-term careers strategy, then reporting on the impact of the Unifrog platform each academic year.
• Maintaining outstanding relationships with existing partner schools, which includes  delivering remote and in-person training to ensure they make the most of the platform.
• Developing an excellent knowledge of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) within the UK and consulting with schools on how to support their students.
• Proactively working to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and always thinking about how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice across our partner schools.
• Achieving sky-high resubscription rates.
• Working collaboratively with Unifrog Account Managers to devise strategies for success with schools and colleges.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 450,000 patients and families we care for every year.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting-edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician, and the play specialists we have on every ward.

We have recently closed our Surgical Neonatal Appeal, having successfully raised our £3m target towards a brand new, state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families.

Main Duties/Tasks:

Income Generation & Stewardship

Work alongside the Individual Giving Manager and Head of Community Fundraising to produce and execute an effective and sustainable individual giving plan.

Create and implement effective donor journeys to maximise the engagement and retention of supporters.

Identify potential new individual giving audiences and implement acquisition strategies in order to grow the individual giving database.

Work across the organisation to champion individual giving and to implement excellent supporter care.

Work alongside the Individual Giving Manager to manage budgets including forecasting and tracking and making sure costs remain low for maximum return on investment.

Identify opportunities for colleagues in fundraising and throughout the hospital and pass these on as appropriate.

Ensure fundraising remains within legal constraints and pays attention to safeguarding requirements.

Work positively and proactively with our volunteer supporters.

Project Management

Develop our In Memory offering and supporter journey.

Develop and execute regular giving products and appeals.

Produce and execute legacy and in memory marketing plans.

Work alongside the Marketing Team to create, manage and evaluate innovative and thought-provoking campaigns to increase individual giving income.

Manage individual giving fundraising campaigns such as Make a Will Month, The Big Give, Giving Tuesday and seasonal appeals.

Work with internal colleagues and external suppliers, agencies and fulfilment houses, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Data Management & Reporting

Manage the selection and segmentation of individual giving data for campaign purposes.

Oversee the timely importing and exporting of donor data to ensure that supporter records are up to date.

Use campaign data to report on effectiveness of activity and inform decision making and future planning.

Ensure all individual giving activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers an excellent experience for supporters.

Identify and develop the systems and processes necessary to deliver effective individual giving activity including the website, social media and email, fundraising database, data analysis tools and social media.

Work in conjunction with the Finance Manager to ensure all legacy income and communications are recorded.

Work alongside members of the team to develop fundraising initiatives, attend team meetings, plan and budget.

Responding to general enquiries from the individual giving, in memory and legacy fundraising email addresses and telephone lines.

Other Duties

Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

• Proven experience of managing individual giving activity including appeals and recruitment and retention campaigns.

Your role is pivotal in ensuring consistent and accurate scoping of projects, from the technology provision for our flagship Crisis at Christmas event to the rollout of Microsoft Intune as an endpoint management solution.

Beyond the Streets is a small charity with a big determination to see routes out for women selling sex in the UK.  Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and due to an increase in service demand we are looking to increase our staff team by recruiting a Women’s Telephone Support Worker.

Working as part of a small team in our office in Southampton, you will be responsible for providing regular telephone support to a caseload of women.  Within this, you will be often the first point of support for women involved in the sex industry, offering a listening ear for them to process some of their feelings and experiences within this space and providing emotional support; as well as providing more practical assistance to overcome the barriers they face in accessing support.  This could be through advocating with external agencies e.g., mental health, housing, problematic substance use, homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, sexual violence, the criminal justice system; and to make positive steps forward with their lives.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

• To support residents to maintain and continue their recovery from drug and/or alcohol problems.
• To support residents to engage in positive activities (volunteering, work or education) to underpin their recovery.
• To manage the maintenance, upkeep, and management of all properties.

Main Outcomes

Residents remain substance free and in recovery. 

• Overseeing incoming referrals to obtain new residents.
• Undertaking drug and alcohol testing.
• Providing advice/signpost residents to additional recovery support and other issues such as housing, health, benefits, and finance.
• Assisting residents in times of crisis, offering them advice and support as appropriate.
• Developing the quality and effectiveness of the service, including utilising service user feedback.

Residents follow care plans and comply with licence agreements so that they grow in self-worth, self-confidence, and resilience. 

• Undertake weekly keywork sessions, tracking individualised goals as agreed on care plan.

About the Role:

The Waking Night Support Worker will work in line with person-centred risk assessments, support plans, and liaise with Support Workers to provide comprehensive handover and partnership working. They will be observant of changes in behaviour and presentations ensuring appropriate actions are taken to document and report changes in support needs of young people.

Waking Night Support Worker will be able to carry out all necessary health and safety actions including light cleaning tasks and environment management. Furthermore they will actively seek out ways to work with the team and stakeholders to improve the experience of young people in the service.

The role requires individuals to work on a rota pattern of 21:30 - 07:30, including some weekend working.
