We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is keen to play a crucial role in delivering a non-judgemental, non-coercive needle exchange service that centres each person’s own goals in regard to their substance use and overall wellness.

About the role

• Leading on a busy needle exchange service, you will offer harm reduction advice & support to all people who access the service.
• You will oversee stock levels and ordering of new supplies, with an emphasis on ensuring all stock is stored safely.
• You will ensure policies, procedures, and quality control are in place for all people and staff when carrying out the Needle Exchange and further develop good practice.
• Delivering a non-judgemental, non-coercive needle exchange service that centres each person’s own goals in regard to their substance use and overall wellness.
• You will lead on delivery of Naloxone distribution & training to service users, internal services and external partners
• Lead on disseminating information around drug alerts to people accessing the Needle Exchange and internally across services
• Lead on a pilot wound care service delivered from the Centre’s needle exchange
• You have excellent communication skills and can create positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including external services.
• You will support the development of the service and ensure that you are delivering a solution-focussed and strength-based approach.

The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim. They will also raise awareness of male domestic abuse with partners and within the community.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do:

Look Ahead IDVAs have the personal qualities required to manage customer expectations alongside the responsibilities of their role. Day to day IDVA activities include:
Manage client referrals, completing Dash Risk Assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and creating a positive atmosphere
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols
Regular attendance at Marac and completion of all Marac referrals
Support Customers to obtain Non Molestation Orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with or as a representative for clients.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
Creating a safety plan with clients
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
Encouraging customers to attend relevant programmes when appropriate i.e Own My Life
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Service Team Leader

Chance to Shine is a national children’s charity. We change young people’s lives through cricket giving them the opportunity to play, learn and develop through the sport. We keep them physically active, teach them vital skills like teamwork, communication and leadership. And above all, they have fun.

Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has helped reverse the decline of cricket in state schools with millions of boys and girls in over 13,000 state schools playing and learning through cricket. Chance to Shine Street supports young people in under-served communities to access and benefit from cricket in a free, inclusive, fun and fast-paced tape ball environment.

Purpose of the Role

A key part of Chance to Shine’s Communications department, this role will have a particular focus on producing content across the charity’s social media platforms and supporting our overall digital marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant’s responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing

• Help to manage the departmental content and marketing calendar

• Create, schedule, and post engaging content across all Chance to Shine social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)

• Lead on our social media community engagement – responding to messages/replies, moderating where necessary and pinpointing relevant conversations

• Draft and design newsletters and email campaigns to engage key audiences such as supporters, teachers and coaches

Website and Digital Operations

· Produce content for the CTS website

· Support with content and development of CTS Portal

Other Responsibilities

· Support with copywriting for a variety of publications such as newsletters, event programmes and impact reports

· Lead on the maintenance of the digital photo archive

· Assist with the logistical planning and execution of Chance to Shine events, ensuring all materials and resources are prepared.

· Assist with the collection of consent forms and other necessary documentation from event participants and attendees.

· Work with the Communications team on supporting adhoc projects and campaigns

About the Role

We are seeking a Service Manager to cover 1-year maternity leave and lead our community service in Barnet. As the manager of this service, your primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day operations and to lead a team of specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs). • The day-to-day management of our Barnet community provision
• The development and maintenance of effective relationships with colleagues and a range of stakeholders

To do this we work with a range of companies across multiple sectors and schools to deliver our Employability Programme which is made up of Events, Apprenticeship Application Clinics, one-to-one support, and Work Experience opportunities.

• To be part of a growing Commercial Team, by managing and growing multinational relationships, who want to hire diverse and talented young people, (mostly straight from school or college, via apprenticeships).

Job Title:Fundraising Officer

Reporting To: Chief Development Officer

Purpose of the Role

This role will provide effective administrative support to the Fundraising Team at Race Against Dementia.

The Fundraising Officer will work specifically on incoming Individual Donors, Legacy Donors and supporting Commercial Partnership Agreements.  In addition to these tasks, they will support the Fundraising Team with record keeping, and support various fundraising activities throughout the year.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To support individual donors throughout their donation journey, including the direct debit and monthly individual donations.
• Management and communication of legacy donations, including in memory donations and the supporting fundraising portals.
• Support the maintenance of in place Commercial Partnership Agreements, managing payments, services and contract completion dates.
• Ensure that all fundraising enquiries by telephone and email are responded to quickly and appropriately and escalated, if required, to the right member of the Fundraising Team. 
• Daily management of the CRM system (eTapestry), to keep accurate and up-to-date records regarding our donors in order to support the Finance Manager.
• Be the lead for the stock of merchandise and fundraising resources.  This will involve maintaining an inventory and re-ordering fundraising stock as necessary. 
• Support ad hoc fulfilment of fundraising materials and packs to supporters in conjunction with our fulfilment centre and online shop set up.
• Support the administration of wider fundraising campaigns and events where required with the Community Fundraising Manager.
• Lead on recording all donated auction items and raffle prizes for fundraising events
• Support the wider Fundraising team with any ad-hoc administrative tasks.
• Attend appropriate training where necessary.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by the CDO, CEO or Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives that are of benefit to Race Against Dementia to support the fundraising team with ideas.
• To administer own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system. 
• To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.
• Work within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia policies and procedures.

Beyond Support – Women’s Telephone Support Worker – Southampton

Beyond the Streets is a small charity with a big determination to see routes out for women selling sex in the UK.  Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and due to an increase in service demand we are looking to increase our staff team by recruiting a Women’s Telephone Support Worker.

Working as part of a small team in our office in Southampton, you will be responsible for providing regular telephone support to a caseload of women.  Within this, you will be often the first point of support for women involved in the sex industry, offering a listening ear for them to process some of their feelings and experiences within this space and providing emotional support; as well as providing more practical assistance to overcome the barriers they face in accessing support.  This could be through advocating with external agencies e.g., mental health, housing, problematic substance use, homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, sexual violence, the criminal justice system; and to make positive steps forward with their lives.

You will design and deliver schools and seminars for equality section members and reps as well as designing, co-ordinating and delivering on campaigns and initiatives around equality, equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-harassment, fairness, culture and culture change. 

Having empathy with under-represented groups, you will be resilient and able to relate to a wide spectrum of people, such as firefighters, lay officials, senior officials and members of the public. You will have a demonstrable ability to make change in the context of equalities issues, along with a proven track record of developing and delivering education, training and campaigns, ideally in relation to equalities.

The role will be based in the FBU head office and there will be some travel and working away from home.  Head office is currently at Kingston upon Thames and will be relocating to central London (Vauxhall) in approximately 3-4 months.
