About the role:

We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Administrator to join our team. You will provide essential administrative support to the Project Lead. Primarily focused on East Cheshire NHS Trust, you will assist in the running of our volunteer management contracts by recruiting and liaising with volunteers and other relevant stakeholders, coordinating day to day cover of volunteers and supporting with volunteer events.

This role is suited to someone who is looking for an opportunity to develop new, or re-hone previously obtained, skills with a view to expanding within post. You might be seeking to re-enter the workforce following some time away for any number of reasons, so your previous work experience is less important to us than your current commitment and approach to the job.

This role is currently designed to be task oriented, allowing the post holder to learn on the go; but there is room to develop if wanted. We are looking for two Training and Education Leads to work for an exciting organisation, one permanent and one parental cover (6 months).

Position: Training and Education Lead (two positions)

About the role:

We have two events-based roles to support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.

The role holders will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.

Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the course working parties including the production of agendas and minutes
• Create booking pages via iMIS and make them live when approved.
• Manage bookings and respond to queries.
• Prepare and distribute course information, delegate packs, learning materials and handbooks as required.
• Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.
• Negotiate contracts, attend site visits where needed and finalise contracts.
• Liaise with suppliers, delegates and speakers to ensure all final details are communicated.
• Process bookings via iMIS, including sending booking confirmations.
• Respond to queries from delegates and potential delegates such as queries on their course or programme and progress.
• Ensure that accurate and complete records of attendance and progress are maintained.
• Ensure delegates' and speaker needs are met before and after the course.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face-to-face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery. To be successful at the organisation, you will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:

• A qualification or experience in event and/or learning management
• Experience in managing the delivery of courses and training programmes including course agendas, delegate and speaker support and course administration
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask
• Excellent oral and written English
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including record-keeping and attention to detail
• Basic financial awareness and understanding for example working to a budget and controlling costs
• Suitability to work with apprentices and vulnerable people including acceptable DBS record
• General IT skills including MS Office (e.g. Word mail merges and Excel reporting). An aptitude for learning new software/portals and experience with customer databases such as iMIS, webinar and eLearning platforms will be an advantage

Enhanced Support Worker

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Enhance Support Worker to join our RBKC Heaney Cluster Service service in Ladbroke Grove.

The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24 hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues.
Enhanced Support Workers will devise person centered support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

The aim of the project is to assess the individual over a 12-week period with the aim of identifying their support and housing needs. In that period, we will provide a bed for the customer to assist staff to carry out a detailed assessment to ensure that the recommendation for move on into alternative housing is captured correctly to assist move on for the individual into more suitable accommodation which is correct reflective of their needs based on our assessment/recommendation.

The service operates a model of personalised approach in order to address a wide range of presenting complex needs, which could range from mild learning difficulties, substance use (alcohol and drugs), offending, mental health, dual diagnoses, etc. We work closely with outside agencies in order to ensure that the individual is linked into getting the correct support whilst they remain at the assessment centre.
A major part of the Assessment Support Workers role is putting in the foundation with our customers around basic living skills and preparing the individual to be ready to move into alternative supported accommodation.

What you'll do:

Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
Empower customers to be part of the local community and active participants in the local community as part of a Recovery Capital model.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding making referrals where an unmet need has been identified via the multi-agency assessment.

Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to, including assessment and support of budgeting and debt management to garner their tenancy readiness.
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.

Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills.
Provide day-to-day instruction of domestic staff/Personal Support Assistants where appropriate.

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Female Specialist Support Worker (equivalent to Female Specialist Housing Caseworker) on a Permanent on a full-time basis at our female only scheme in Stoke Newington.

The service is part our Complex Needs Service in London, a supported housing scheme for single homeless females aged 16-21 years, including care leavers and ex-offender with high support needs.

We support young women to gain independence, supporting them holistically to reach their goals/aspirations and move on to independent living.
