Job description
We are recruiting for an experienced senior manager to join our Registration Team and lead the Quality Assurance, Registration Training and Appeals team. The Operational Manager - Registration Quality Assurance and Training role is one of three new Operational Manager positions within the Registration Department. This manager, along with two counterparts and the Head of Registration, will provide senior leadership, strategic direction, and support to several teams within the department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead the delivery and support of excellent registration services which is an important part of how we protect the public.
Purpose and Main Duties
This role provides senior leadership and is accountable to deliver a programme of audit and quality assurance activities for the Registration Department. The role is responsible for managing the design and development of the quality assurance programme content, and the feedback of results to the Registration Department.
The position offers the opportunity to lead and design the department specific Training Needs Analysis (TNA), training plans, training delivery, training evaluation and outcomes both for individual partners, employees and across the whole Registration team.
The Operational Manager - Quality Assurance and Training also leads the team within the Registration Department that delivers a high quality, consistent and efficient registration appeals service.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Leadership Experience: Experience of leading, developing and supporting a team to deliver excellent, timely and effective services.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to design, implement and review complex business processes, making recommendations for change and implement them where necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Comprehensive experience of successfully leading a programme of quality compliance and assurance in a regulatory environment.
  • Learning and Development: The proven ability to lead the design, implementation and delivery of a departmental training plan, making recommendations on future training needs and modes of delivery.
About the Department:
We maintain the Register of over 330,000 health and care professionals across the United Kingdom. The Registration Department provides services relating to people joining the HCPC Register and maintaining their registration with the HCPC. Without HCPC registration an individual cannot lawfully work in the UK in one of the 15 professions we regulate.
The includes six areas: UK Registration, International Registration, Renewal and continuing professional development (CPD) Team, Contact Centre, Quality Assurance & Training and Registration Appeals.
