The Role
This is an exciting role within a critical area of FILE, building our evidence base on impact and using it to support learning with a range of stakeholders. The Impact & Learning team at FILE is responsible for generating evidence and learning, enabling FILE and its partners to be as impactful as possible.
As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, you will be part of a small and integrated team providing support across a broad portfolio of work.
This involves collating and analysing data, creating and facilitating learning processes within FILE and with our funded partners, and ensuring evidence and insights are fed back into our strategies and those of our partners.
This team works closely with all functions across the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the collection and analysis of data as well as learning from evidence regarding FILE’s activities. This position will primarily focus on supporting four key areas:
- Monitoring: enabling and supporting the collection of robust and consistent data from partners to support their progress towards impact
- Data management: partner data collation and verification from different data sources
- Donor and Board reporting: preparation and presentation of data and evidence for our donors and board to demonstrate our progress towards impact
- Learning: enable learning at all levels of the organisation through designing and delivering learning processes with FILE staff and partners
To achieve this, you will:
- Support our portfolio and grants team in monitoring and reviewing grant documentation in line with FILE’s results framework including providing grant assessments.
- Review and verify partner reports, providing summaries for internal portfolio, executive teams and FILE’s auditing.
- Monitor progress of individual grants and portfolios including data extraction in line with FILE’s Results Framework and Case Database
- Maintain and refine as required, data collection and management tools including partner reporting templates in collaboration with our grant management team.
- Summarise relevant data for inclusion in our 6 monthly donor reports and quarterly updates for our Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager to coordinate strategic inputs from portfolio teams relating to progress and results for inclusion in donor reports.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the development and facilitation of webinars and learning sessions for FILE’s key audiences.
- Prepare and share relevant data in a compelling format bi-annual learning processes with FILE portfolio teams.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the creation of new templates and methods for showcasing impact and results across a wide range of audiences.
About you

- Understanding of and interest in climate mitigation & adaptation, biodiversity or other environmental issues
- Proven experience of applying monitoring, evaluation and learning or research approaches within an organisation
- Experience and interest in building equitable relationships and partnerships and a confident collaborator, able to work with people across the organisation and with external partners
- Facilitation skills – in person and online, including designing sessions and processes which focus on learning outcomes for participants
- Experience of collecting qualitative and quantitative data using different tools and templates including desktop research and semi-structured interview
- Data visualisation skills using different platforms and tools to clearly and compellingly communicate data
- Good quantitative data management and analysis skills including use of MS databases (Excel, Access) or other similar tools
- Competent in translating technical information into reports or knowledge products for different audiences
- Well-developed project management skills
- Philanthropic experience an advantage but not a requirement

About the role
We are searching for an exceptional Learning Disability (LD) User Involvement Project Manager to work in our well-regarded learning disability user involvement services.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the ‘Synergy’ Learning Disability User Involvement Project, supporting and supervising ‘experts by experience’ - learning disability representatives, volunteers and participants - and actively reaching out to the wider Camden learning disability community, reporting their views to Council, NHS and CCG representatives, helping to shape the services people from this community receive.
Key responsibilities
- Support the user-led ethos of the Synergy project, and provide line management, supervision, support, and annual appraisal of the Synergy Reps. This also includes managing volunteers, work experience/internship opportunities, and recruitment to the Synergy project; and processing reward & recognition, salary payments and queries.
- Manage and deliver consultations, training, groups, and workshops that align with local and national priorities, as well as the Advocacy Project’s strategic priorities, feeding this into decision-making forums. This will include involvement in the Camden Planning Together Board, including agenda setting, creating Easy read documents, and supporting the co-chair.
- Design and conduct consultations, through a variety of methods including interviews, surveys, focus groups, meetings, and forums; with individuals or groups; in person, online, and via telephone or video calls. Collate consultation results and write up evaluation reports.
- Provide regular speaking up opportunities, which might include drop-ins, group meetings, consultations, forums and focus groups as well as one-to-one interviews - addressing any gaps in diversity to ensure a diverse representation of the community are engaging in opportunities.
- Develop effective working relationships with key staff in health and social care and voluntary sector services including carers; working in partnership with them to raise awareness of the Advocacy Project services and to amplify user voice and to shape local and national services.
- Manage the service according to the contract and allocated budgets ensuring they meet agreed standards, monitoring system requirements, service goals and outcomes; and provide accurate and timely project updates and monitoring reports.
- Develop and manage income generation opportunities such as training, awareness sessions, and easy read translation.
- Work according to the Equality Act 2010 and other forms of legislation that combat discrimination and promote equality and diversity.
- Communicate effectively with people with a learning disability, including people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), using a range of creative approaches – for example, Makaton, intensive interaction and objects of reference - to maximise participation opportunities in line with the Advocacy Project’s Accessible Information Standards.
- Support the Synergy team to participate in recruitment or procurement procedures within but not limited to Camden Council, NHS settings, and NCL CCG.
- Use organisational software and systems to record information that will contribute to the writing of regular reports.
- Keep up to date with developments and good practice guidelines in advocacy and user involvement and of health and social care services/legislation and local and national policy, and priorities relating to people with learning disabilities. This includes co-production, involvement, representation and consultation practices.
- Work with commissioners and key stakeholders to develop effective consultation, involvement, and co-production.
- Attend local, London-wide, and national events and meetings; and support the Synergy Reps and volunteers to attend.
- Work as an active member of the user involvement team - contributing to service planning and development. Where necessary, provide cover within the UI team.

Person specification

Essential qualities and attributes:
- Understanding of the issues faced by people with a learning disability, and recent developments in policy and practice, and health and social care legislation.
- Sound knowledge of services for people with learning disabilities
- Experience of the principles, practice and different approaches to user involvement, including co-production, consultation and speaking up forums.
- Ability to listen, communicate and build trust with people with learning disabilities, including those with high support and complex needs and/or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), to enable them to express their views and support their inclusion in the development of local, London-wide and National strategy.
- Ability to manage group dynamics, and negotiate/resolve conflicts or disagreements that may arise during group meetings.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including commissioners, volunteers, service users and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and understanding and experience of using a variety of creative communication methods such as Intensive interaction, Easy read, Makaton, Talking mats, and Objects of reference etc.

Westway Trust is a community-guided organisation located in North Kensington which runs an adult learning programme of accredited and non-accredited provision across a range of subjects. We aim to enable people to progress in work, in learning and in life. Our learners come from a variety of backgrounds and have different prior experiences of learning.
The primary responsibility of the Digital Skills Tutor will be to design and deliver high quality, learner-centred teaching, and learning and assessment experiences to our employed and unemployed adult learners from Entry level to Level 1, while supporting the Adult and Community Learning Manager to achieve the Trust’s strategic objectives.
This is a sessional hours role. The working hours will be discussed and agreed at interview stage.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Teaching
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met
- Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- Rigorously monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance
- Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement

- Practical work experience as an ICT Tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios

- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards

What the job involves
Join our dynamic People and Culture team as Head of People - Learning, Engagement, and Experience! In this strategic role, you'll provide leadership across Prostate Cancer UK, focusing on people and volunteer experience with a people-centred approach. You'll help develop and deliver inclusive, dynamic people development and culture strategies to drive employee engagement, upskill our people, and manage internal and volunteer communications, ensuring our continued growth.
You'll lead teams specialising in learning, engagement, and volunteer experience. You'll develop and ensure the successful implementation of a learning and development strategy that aligns with the strategic and operational capability needs of the charity. You'll design and deliver a series of interventions that develop our senior leaders, colleagues, and volunteers, enhancing our capability to deliver our strategy. You'll continuously review and evaluate People Experience and Culture activities to ensure they remain relevant to changing organisational needs and are aligned with other support functions and operational strategies.
Directing the development and implementation of a strategic internal communications plan, you’ll ensure all colleagues and volunteers are connected to our work, reinforcing our values and culture. You'll own the cycle of gaining feedback from colleagues and volunteers and drive the action planning process to ensure that progress and improvements are achieved.
Working across Directorates, you'll ensure a consistent people and volunteer experience. You'll guide the design and management of systems and processes that deliver a great experience, ensuring all interventions are measured and evaluated effectively, building learning into subsequent activities.
You'll coach and develop your team to achieve fantastic results and progress their skills and capabilities. Additionally, you'll build strong collaborative working relationships across our senior leadership team and work with an in-depth network of external suppliers and partners to support the delivery of our work.
What we want from you
An experienced people leader, you’ll have a proven track record of developing and delivering impactful People Experience and Culture strategies, including learning and leadership development interventions, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector. You're both a strategic and operational thinker and leader, able to articulate clear aims and rationale to shape longer-term plans and see them through to operational delivery.
With experience in leading strategic internal communications, you're attuned to the changing world around us and understand how this could enhance or derail our People strategies. Passionate about organisational development, you’ll have a solid understanding of the employee lifecycle and can demonstrate your contribution to developing culture and improving people experience as well as volunteer experience interventions.
Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills allow you to operate and manage comfortably in a multicultural and multistakeholder organisation. As a natural relationship builder, you’ll work collaboratively, balancing operational and strategic responsibilities. You're also at ease presenting to the Leadership Team or the Board. You're someone who easily connects with people from a range of backgrounds, putting our people at the heart of everything you and your team do.
Ideally, you hold a recognised qualification in organisational development, learning and development, or human resources (CIPD), or an Internal Communications accreditation (IoIC accredited Diploma or CIPR diploma), or equivalent work experience.

The volunteering experience team is working to improve the experience of volunteering for every volunteer at Scouts (and those who’ve not yet joined us.) We want to make volunteering easier and more fun. We want to involve more volunteers so we can reach more young people and new communities. We want our volunteers to better reflect their local communities and national demographics, and ensure that every volunteer feels a valued part of Scouts.
Key responsibilities as our Learning Designer:
- Explorer how we can use our new Learning Experience System to provide great learning experiences for our volunteers
- Further develop our Competency Frameworks and translate them into engaging learning experiences and journeys
- Explore catalogues and various sources of learning content to curate the best offerings for our adult volunteers
- Design and develop e-learning content in Lectora, the Learning Experience System, Vyond, and with any other tools that help us deliver great learning experiences
- Design and develop other learning resources – texts, training sessions, interactive workshops, communities of interest, videos, etc.

- Demonstrable knowledge and passion for learning design and delivery.

The role

The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in delivering or overseeing training delivery, online events and webinars, managing successful relationships with stakeholders and have strong IT skills. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- To work with the Director of Sector Development and the CILIP Learn Development Manager to deliver a market-leading training offer for CILIP within CILIP Learn. To deliver and evaluate a portfolio of training events, building effective relationships with training providers.
- To support successful contract and stakeholder management related to the training partnerships and training contracts.
- To develop and maintain systems and processes which ensure that the development of the CILIP Learn offer is based on data, evidence and market intelligence.
It is not essential for the candidate to possess prior knowledge of the sector but they will have the right level of knowledge and enthusiasm to learn rapidly and bring their transferable skills to the role.

Applicants should have
- Evidence of education at a higher level (eg ‘A’ level, NVQ, BTec, Level 3 )
- Experience of assessing and analysing the needs of individual young people, of setting targets and goals through negotiation with them and through the collection of relevant data and information to support assessments.
- Experience of working with young people to support the achievement of their learning outcomes, particularly those who are underachieving, disaffected or have social/emotional barriers to their learning.

Founded in 2020, the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is an initiative hosted by Elrha, a global organisation committed to solving complex humanitarian challenges, and is funded by the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO).
The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research and Learning Manager on a fixed term basis until end March 2025 to join our dynamic team and contribute towards our efforts in bridging research, policy, and practice within the realm of humanitarian innovation, working in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in shaping and implementing our agenda by leading cutting-edge research initiatives, fostering learning, and ensuring that our work is informed by evidence-based practices.
We are looking for someone with:
Extensive Experience in Research and Innovation: You should have a strong background in designing and delivering research and/or innovative solutions, ideally with experience in communicating complex research findings to diverse stakeholders, though a record of published work is not a prerequisite.
Technical Expertise in Innovation Practice and Systems Change: Your role will involve providing technical expertise in research and innovation, particularly in the areas of innovation practice and systems change. You should have the ability to drive impactful strategic collaborations involving various stakeholders, including government bodies, public and private sectors, academic institutions, and NGOs.
Strong Connections in the Humanitarian Research Community: You should have well-established connections within the international humanitarian research community. Knowledge of existing evidence, emerging research trends, and the evolving research landscape is crucial.
Proficiency in Partner Outreach and Network Building: You should be adept at building and coordinating networks and have the capability to persuade others to embrace new methodologies and approaches. Your role will involve using various advocacy and communication strategies to promote innovative ways of working.
