Sitting in a high performing team of five the Workforce Development & Training Officers will work together to deliver all aspects of the team’s operational work which achieves the objective of growing the workforce in our specialties, clinical oncology and clinical radiology. In this broad role you will encompass supporting both trainees and their trainers through their programmes. You will be self-motivated, able to build your expertise in the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks within which they operate and apply that expertise across a wide portfolio of activity. As new initiatives evolve and become business as usual, the work of operations will evolve.

What you’ll do:

• Provide tailored advice on all matters that might affect a trainee’s status and training time using expertise in the regulatory frameworks associated with specialty training in the UK.
• Proactively work with WDTO colleagues to ensure trainees and trainers are adequately supported.
• Review and prepare CESR and MTI applications for assessment by the specialist committee.
• Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.
• Provide a timely, customer-focussed and responsive service.

• Detailed understanding (or the ability to rapidly acquire it) of UK legislation and GMC regulations and procedures in relation to entry to GMC registers and the right to work in the UK.
• Ability to understand, interpret and advise on legislation, external processes and complex documentation.

Main duties

Form a close working relationship with the Marketing and Finance teams

Lead the development and delivery of the Outreach Services strategic plan

Take overall control of the delivery, development and quality standards of the Outreach Services – BeyondAutism Fast Responder®, Outreach and Training Meet sales targets

Ensure that the Outreach Services impact measures are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth

Take a lead role in the promotion of BeyondAutism’s Outreach Services Development and strategy

Develop and deliver the Outreach Services strategic plan in line with the organisational strategic objectives

Market and stakeholder analysis – contribution to and evaluation of options as charity develops, monitor progress

Manage the resolution of Outreach Services’ customer complaints and concerns, increasing the positive reputation and profile of BeyondAutism

Reporting and monitoring

Weekly reporting of enquiries and conversion to service delivery

Location: The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our clients Bradford, Peterborough or Camberley office with travel to other sites as required.

About the Role

This role will lead on the day-to-day operation of the accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable and cash management functions.  You will be required to work closely with the financial controller and other members of the Finance Team to ensure that processing in these areas is complete, accurate and compliant, and supports the timely preparation of management accounts. You will also work with colleagues from across the organisation and key external stakeholders to ensure that income is received, cash is held and monitored following the Charity’s internal financial controls, and all legal and regulatory requirements are complied with.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the day to day operations of the sales ledger function
• Responsible for ensuring invoices are raised on time and in line with agreements with funders

• Main point of contact for queries regarding non-rental income sales invoices
• Monitor all cash transactions and ensure they are recorded on the Finance system on a timely basis
• To lead on the day to day operations of the purchase ledger function
• To manage the preparation of the weekly payment run, ensuring that all due items are included
• Review nominal ledger activity and post journals for on a timely basis to ensure ledger information is accurate and complete in line with month end timetable
• Responsible for the accurate preparation of month end reconciliations for allocated balance sheet codes including Fixed Assets, bank accounts, debtors, accrued and deferred income

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Part-qualified accountant or extensive and demonstrable experience in a variety of financial roles

· Experience in the preparation of accounts to trial balance stage

· Credit control experience

· Excellent IT skills, and an ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing administrative and other support to fundraising and communications staff.
• Leading on a small portfolio of major fundraising events and activities. 
• Maintaining regular contact and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
• Support and/or lead on a range of other fundraising activities, campaigns and events.
• Identifying new events, opportunities and approaches that could raise significant funds for halow.

Role Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, hard-working, flexible and keen to make a difference. 
• Demonstratable experience of working a fundraising role or comparable role.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, trustees, donors, and funders.
• Experience of delivering projects and fundraising targets.
• Knowledge of data security whist ensuring databases are kept up to date.
• Aged 18 and above.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Suitable references.
• Willing to undertake a DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.

You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Lottery to develop and implement a strategic approach to expanding our reach, reducing attrition rates, increasing income and enhancing brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
• Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
• Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
• Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
• Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
• You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:

York Carers Centre is an independent charity that helps unpaid carers in York access the support they need.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a genuine interest in using their experience and skills to lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers working with and for young carers across York.

With responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of an effective quality Young Carer Service the post holder will ensure young carers are identified and recognised and have access to a range of emotional and practical support according to their specific needs.

Role Description

We are looking for a senior leader, with extensive experience in education project and/or programme management, who can lead a fast-growing team within a mission-driven organisation. You will be a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, in particular working closely with the interim CEO, the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Impact and the charity’s Senior Programmes Leaders. You will have direct exposure to the Board of Trustees and the unique opportunity to fundamentally shape the organisation and its direction.

The Chief Programmes Officer will be responsible for all aspects of programme delivery, including providing strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of the programmes delivery team, business development and stakeholder management with new partners in further education, and reviewing and improving delivery across all our programmes. You will work closely with the Director of Impact to refine and implement our approach to programme quality and impact to ensure we are providing the most effective programmes for the students we support. You will play a leadership role in the overall direction of the charity and work with the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Impact to ensure that the systems, processes, and ways of working for the Programmes Team are in place to ensure effective programme delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

• Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Impact to provide overall leadership for the organisation, deliver the organisation’s new five-year strategy, and embed its values.
• Regularly updating the board on programme delivery and developments through participation in full Board and subcommittee meetings.
• Deputising for the CEO as needed, internally or externally, representing Get Further in public forums, with senior stakeholders, and with external organisations.

Business development and sales:

• Planning, leading and engaging in sales activity to ensure Get Further meets its goals for growth in terms of college partnerships and student numbers and secures new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion.
• Line managing Senior Programmes Leaders, supporting their development and the delivery of KPIs with regards to college sales and renewals.
• Working closely with the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to ensure a joined-up and impactful approach to sales and marketing, including through conference attendance and participation, social media, webinars.

Programme delivery:

• Strategic leadership of the Programmes Team (currently a team of 10 full-time staff), including ensuring that the team has the culture, working environment and professional development opportunities to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high quality programmes and to meet our delivery KPIs.
• Overseeing efficient delivery of every aspect of each programme cycle, from liaising with the Chief Operations Officer to set and ensure achievement of targets for recruiting and training tutors, to leading the team to deliver on tuition logistics (including clear and timely student, tutor and college communications), and reporting on our impact to our partners in further education, ensuring programmes are high-quality and impactful for students and partners.
• Identifying and rolling out developments to programme delivery that help to improve our ways of working at scale, to enable the team to deliver now and in the future.

Programme quality and impact:

• Working closely with Get Further’s Director of Impact and the wider Impact Team to develop and deliver our processes for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes, including communicating our results with existing and potential partners in further education to support the charity to meet its wider objectives.
• Ensuring Get Further’s approach to curriculum, assessment and tutor training continue to develop and improve with insights from our impact data, including line management of our Maths and English Curriculum Managers.
• Holding the relationship with Get Further’s subject advisory groups.

External relationships:

• Building relationships and our brand across the further education, charity and policy sectors.
• Leading on the delivery of a FE Advisory Group that provides advice and guidance to the charity to ensure programme delivery continues to move from strength to strength.
• Supporting with fundraising and advocacy as needed.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL

• A deep interest and commitment to Get Further’s mission, including the drive to expand our work and the ability to articulate and pitch our programmes authentically.
• An excellent track record of sales within the education sector (minimum two years’ experience of directly selling programmes within education) and skilled in designing and delivering business development plans and/or marketing strategies.
• Extensive experience in leading and improving programme delivery, including the ability to galvanise colleagues to reach annual KPIs.
• Organisational and project management skills, to plan and make strategic decisions to prioritise and optimise time and budget.
• Successful leadership and management of a diverse and growing team, supporting personal development of team members and developing colleagues to foster high performance.
• A confident communicator who enjoys building networks, influencing, and promoting programmes passionately, with the ability to adapt content, tone and delivery of written and oral communications to the needs of the audience.
• A proactive problem solver, able to spot inefficiencies and identify emerging risks early, and propose solutions as they arise.
