About the role

We work closely with our clients and a range of other agencies to provide a holistic service that assesses individual needs so that prisoners are fully supported to obtain or retain settled accommodation on their release. As our Administrator you will provide full administrative and office management support to the team including coordinating, managing and allocating referrals, scheduling appointments, data entry and processing as well as answering in person and telephone queries. You will also take responsibility for processing sensitive and confidential data and maintaining records as appropriate on our case management systems.

Are you a reliable Maintenance Officer wanting to work with a charity?

They are looking for a Maintenance Officer to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents, employees and visitors on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) for at least 4 weeks, in their East London office.

As a Maintenance Officer, you will support the Facilities Manager in the delivery of planned, reactive maintenance and cleaning tasks. You will play a key role in carrying out a range of general health & safety room checks, cleaning, building maintenance and caretaking tasks, including carrying out fire alarm and emergency lighting tests, checking plant rooms and boilers, performing minor repairs and fabric cleaning. You will also ensure equipment is well maintained, adequately stored, and meets all safety requirements. You will provide excellent customer service to residents, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner and follow up on any health & safety, maintenance or cleaning issues.

The successful candidate will have a background in property maintenance/facilities. They will have experience of carrying out risk assessments, assisting with building cleaning and maintenance, performing repairs and caretaking duties. They will also be a proactive, self-motived and reliable individual with a good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.

About the Role

Working under the direction and support of a Regional Prevention Services Managers, the Deputy Service Manager will lead a team of client-facing workers to deliver effective and high-quality services that strive to prevent homelessness.  You will be responsible for young people needing longer term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

The postholder will be accountable for the day-to-day aspects of service delivery in line with Depaul’s expectations and procedures. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery of our Supported Lodgings service, including the line management of client-facing workers, supporting the to deliver high-quality services.

Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets based, psychologically informed delivery, the aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self determining in their lives.

Key responsibilities include:

•  Ensure every client accessing Supported Lodgings service is welcomed, kept safe and has a suitable support plan for longer term accommodation and support

• You will lead on the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for engagement in Supported Lodgings Services

• Develop and deliver key partnerships with referral agencies and support related projects

• Work with the Regional Prevention Services Manager to continuously review and develop the services under your responsibility

• You will have responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for Supported Lodgings’ guests and volunteers through regular checks and reporting.

• Work with the Regional Prevention Services Manager to monitor project budgets and petty cash systems

• Participate in internal/external local and national meetings and supervision meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary

• Lead on the safeguarding of all clients accessing your services including clients who are not in receipt of support from other staff

About You

The Digital Programmes Officer will assist with the development and adoption of the digital tools provided by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation (the Foundation). The Digital Programmes team’s primary focus is on the Online Record Book (ORB) and the Award Community. The ORB is a bespoke platform designed for participants and their leaders to manage their Award progress. The Award Community is an online forum, information source, and Learning Management System for adults involved in the International Award. We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Homelessness service in Slough.

£26,305.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.

As a support worker, you will be working as part of a team as well as with external agencies such as London Probation Service, local substance misuse services, Mental health teams, and police amongst others. Sometimes customers may not be linked in with agencies when they entre the service, as a support worker it is part of your role to ensure they are receiving the correct support from agencies required. Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of homelessness. You will be required to support customers with managing their arrears; ensuring housing benefit is applied for as well as monitoring payments and acting appropriately if payments are suspended in order to ensure customer does not fall into any arrears.

You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.

There will be a rota for shifts, with working patterns of 7:30-15:30 and 12:30-20:30. There will be some weekend work.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

Work proactively with Slough Hostel team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.
Motivate the team and champion a positive local culture within the service.

• Updating business processes and procedures
• Supporting other departments with information requests etc.

We're looking for someone with a good understanding of customer service delivery and best practice to join the team as Programme Co-ordinator (internally known as Programme Associate) on a 9-month fixed term contract basis, with the potential of being extended to 12-months.
 
 The Programme Co-ordinator will support the operational delivery (end to end programme management) of a specific cohort, programme or number of programmes. The 2 year FTC role is ideal for someone with a wide range of life experiences as you will be using a person-centred approach to build and develop a therapeutic relationship with clients referred to the service.

Carrying an active caseload, you will work with clients struggling with their mental health in order to determine their recovery needs. You will identify resources within the community, provide expert advice and support and facilitate support groups.
