A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive HR and Systems Compliance Advisor to join our HR team. You be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR and payroll processes, ensuring regulatory compliance whilst delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.

As the key point of contact for systems and compliance related HR processes, you will have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to implementing changes in employment legislation relating to employment contracts, probation, time off work, flexible working and maternity leave. About the role

Action for Carers Surrey has  a visible and well-integrated HR function, which has a wide remit, including training, recruitment, volunteering, health & safety and building management.  We also coordinate and oversee the zero hours youth team.

This varied part-time role is to support this function as well as to provide administrative assistance to the CEO.  We are looking for a post holder who has a high level of accuracy and enjoys working across a wide remit.

Key responsibilities include

• Provide administrative and diary management support to the CEO and COO including co-ordinating and setting up meetings, travel arrangements, taking minutes as required and ensuring they have relevant papers etc in advance.

• Previous experience in an administrative role, within HR, recruitment, training or a related field.

• A familiarity with UK employment laws and regulations or a strong desire to learn

We are seeking a Domestic Abuse/Sexual violence Practitioner with an emphasis on wellbeing to join our Advocacy team as we continue through the third year of our three-year strategy for 2022-25.

This role requires working in partnership with other London domestic abuse support services, to provide pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities, with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of domestic abuse/sexual violence.

The role will focus on emotional support to move forward after traumatic and harmful experiences, operating alongside the ISVA Service Manager and Senior ISVA you will be required to devise a programme of wellbeing activities to address other ways to enhance their resilience and wellbeing - working across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support.  

Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients.  You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

Principal Accountabilities:

HERSANA CIC is the first and leading Gender-based Violence Support Service providing advice, support and advocacy to Black women and girls [femmes] who have experienced any form of gender-based violence.

We were founded in 2016, and have been championing the needs and safety of Black femmes ever since. HERSANA works directly with thousands of Black femmes who have experienced abuse and violence. We specialise in domestic abuse, sexual violence, female genital mutilation, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse and forced marriage.

We are a service run by Black women, for Black women, and with Black women in mind and at the forefront. We have been working to end violence against women and girls in all its forms whilst providing wholistic support to Black femme survivors by providing advocacy services nationally for Black femmes who need longer-term support.

We provide free long-term counselling, as well as short-term emotional and practical support. As a leading expert on violence against women and girls, HERSANA provides accredited and tailored training to a wide range of statutory professionals and workshops to young people and community groups.

We use what we learn through working on the frontlines with clients to work for national and local policy change to improve outcomes for Black femme victims and survivors of abuse and violence. We build evidence through key pieces of research. We push for legislative change, improved statutory guidance for victims, and better understanding of the needs of Black femmes around the country.

Our mission is to create wholistic, gender-specialist, culturally specific and trauma-informed safe spaces for Black women and girls affected by or at risk of gender-based violence across England, as well as campaign to eradicate violence against women and girls in all its forms. If you are gifted and experienced in pastoral and member care, have strong administration skills and a heart to serve as part of our Christian community and to support others as they follow God’s call; then you may be just the person we are looking for. 

We are looking for 2 People Care Co-ordinators to join our small, friendly team who will: 

• Provide member care support for our Partners in the UK and overseas, throughout their service and through major transitions.  This includes prayerful support with maintaining a healthy Christian life. 

• Participate in the screening, selection and preparation of Partners and staff; 

• Develop effective relationships with Partners and their sending churches; 

• Undertake a range of People Care/HR administration for Staff and Partners, including safeguarding and employment records. 

You need to be a friendly and warm person with the ability to grow relationships with a diverse range of people.  You should have a passion for and experience of working across cultures, including overseas. You will need to have excellent administration and communication skills, both face to face and virtually. Experience of recruitment and/or HR administration would be an advantage. You should also be confident in the use of Microsoft Office 365 or similar packages.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Senior policy advisor to lead our policy and strategy work on housing finance.

The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website. 

This role is a crucial and exciting one within our policy team and the wider organisation. You will use your policy and strategy skills to influence national housing policy on behalf of our housing association members. You will build on your existing finance and/or housing knowledge to quickly develop a strong understanding of housing associations and their finances, and will build strong relationships with Finance Directors across our membership. You will use their and your specialist knowledge to shape the policy environment so that housing associations can best deliver on their social purpose.

Whether this is making a persuasive and evidence-based case to the government for additional grant funding to build new homes or the details of social housing rent policy, or working with sector experts on the detail of accounting, pensions, tax or treasury policy, or meeting with civil servants, banks, lenders, ratings agencies, and other stakeholders on behalf of our members, this role is central to our work influencing national social housing policy.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

· An ability to lead the development of credible, robust, evidence based policy, including on complex and technical policy areas;

· An ability to communicate credibly, clearly and persuasively in writing and in person including to Chief Executives, senior government officials and finance professionals;

· An ability to draft, oversee, adapt and deliver complex plans for the delivery of multiple projects or programmes of work;

· A strong interest in and passion for social housing and for housing association finances, through previous experience in either finance or housing roles, and capacity to quickly learn the technical details of housing association finances and operating models .

Nb within the NHF this role is known as ‘Policy leader’ but it is equivalent to a Senior Policy Advisor in other settings.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your special events experience and skills even further, working with the Head of Special Events to deliver the events scheduled for this year and devise and implement the Special Events strategy beyond that. You will collaborate with others team members in Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and External Affairs and keep up to date with trends in the fundraising market that are relevant for potential third-party and supporter-led fundraising events.

You will have proven experience of managing successful Special Events within the charity sector, meeting budgets and organising amazing experience for attendees. The postholder will need to build and manage relationships with high-value supporter sand senior volunteers, so experience with this kind of stakeholder engagement is important.
