The Head of Service for Mental Health and Learning Disability will work in alignment with the Director of Specialist and Complex Care, and wider Senior Management Team to drive up performance, business, and financial efficiencies. The role will provide expertise and capacity to support the organisation to deliver is vision and strategic objectives.

The Head of Service will be the strategic and operational lead ensuring delivery of consistent and high quality services and performance across a defined customer group. To ensure that all Services are run effectively, well managed financially, and employees are performing at high levels. Service and Contract Managers will report directly into this role.

Leadership Accountabilities:

Effective management of any safeguarding incidents and appropriate escalation of any emerging risks
Lead on investigations as required
Lead on ensuring all services are Inspection ready, reaching for outstanding performance and deliver and adhering to compliance with policies and procedures

Knowledge of CQC and other regulatory requirements and frameworks i.e., PBS
Working with Policy Group to develop new policies relevant to area of work.
Keep informed of legislative and policy changes to improve working practices and help inform strategy.

I use my knowledge and passion for mental health and workplace mental health to:

• Deliver our training in a range of settings i.e. to workplaces, community groups and members of the public both in person and remotely
• Provide needs analysis and consultancy to our corporate clients, using various tools such as desk-based analysis, surveys, focus groups and interviews
• Deliver other initiatives, such as facilitated peer support, in workplaces

I deliver these services myself and support our freelance associate trainers and facilitators to deliver them. I deliver across all sectors and industries in the public, third and private sector.

I provide excellent account management and customer service. I monitor, track and report on the progress of contracts and programmes, providing reports suitable for internal and external stakeholders.

At Chapel View we support a number of individuals to live independently in a supported housing environment. We also support clients living in the community in and around Kendal and the South Lakes area. We work a two shift system covering the hours between 9am and 8pm, Recovery Workers will work every other weekend between 9am – 5pm. The rota is based on a four week fixed basis. We are CQC registered for personal care although most of our current work is classed as support work rather than care work. We are a small team, as a Recovery Worker you will work with all of our clients and at the same time you will be a key worker for selected clients.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate on a maternity cover basis working primarily in our male safe- house based in Sunderland, however there will be occasional support in our family accommodation also. In this role you will be supporting and provide casework support toSurvivors of Modern day Slavery living within our safe-house. This role includes providing service users with emotional and practical support; advocating on their behalf, communicating with other organisations including but not limited to health professionals, legal representation and the Home office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Case working service users identified as PVOHT (Potential Victims of Human Trafficking).
• Regular feedback and review meetings with Accommodation Coordinator.
• Arranging and attending appointments for individuals or families.

About the position….

• The core tasks of a Night Care Worker include attending to the needs of the children and young adults during the night, some of which have complex health conditions, domestic duties and appropriate record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulation. Another member of staff will sleep in the unit and can be disturbed if there is an emergency.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated User Researcher to join our charity. Your work will contribute to improving products and services for our communities, including carrying out user research projects for our corporate partners and to improve RNID’s products and services. 4. Contribute to the enhancement of user research processes within RNID. Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimising research methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques. Implement best practices and develop guidelines to ensure research is conducted ethically, efficiently, and effectively.
5. Analyse research data and extract meaningful insights and trends. Synthesise findings into actionable recommendations for improving products, services, and user experiences.
6. Present research findings and insights to internal teams, external stakeholders, and corporate partners in a clear and accessible manner. Select and use appropriate formats for communicating research findings to varied stakeholders, including senior leaders, designers, and people in technical roles.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Safety professional to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team as a Building Safety Manager. This role focuses on all aspects of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety Act 2021 and offers a varied and engaging environment for a solution-focused individual with a passion for building safety and resident well-being. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our residents and the compliance of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Safety Management: Ensure all buildings under your management comply with the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety assessments, inspections, and compliance reports.
• Implement and manage safety case reviews for higher-risk buildings, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
• Safety Cases: Develop and maintain comprehensive safety cases for higher-risk buildings, detailing the safety measures in place, identified risks, and strategies for risk mitigation. Regularly review and update safety cases to reflect any changes in the building, its use, or the regulatory environment. Ensure that safety cases are readily available to regulatory bodies and other stakeholders as required.
• Resident Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for residents on building safety issues. Provide clear and accessible information to residents regarding building safety measures and their responsibilities. Engage with residents regularly to address their concerns and ensure their feedback is incorporated into safety plans.
• Safety Management Systems: Develop and maintain robust safety management systems and procedures. Ensure regular fire risk assessments and other safety inspections are conducted and documented. Oversee the implementation of safety measures, ensuring they are effective and up to date.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Head of Building Safety and Building Safety officer and other team members to integrate safety measures into maintenance and liaise with external contractors, ensuring they adhere to safety regulations and standards. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and ensure all statutory notifications and reporting requirements are met.
• Training and Development: Ensure that all staff and contractors are adequately trained in building safety protocols and the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for all buildings. Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure preparedness for any safety incidents.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and review building safety practices regularly to identify areas for improvement. Implement new safety initiatives and best practices to enhance overall building safety.

Job overview

We are recruiting Lead Coaches across our delivery locations in England and Wales to join our squad in August for the new academic year. This is a frontline role where you will spend the majority of your time working with young people, building relationships with them and delivering our full programme of activities which includes rugby based activity sessions, employability workshops, career taster days and more.

You will be working with some of the hardest to reach young people who are most at risk of exclusion, in small groups of 8-10. We use rugby as a hook and mentorship as an anchor, using our four cornerstones (developing life skills, raising aspirations, improving physical wellbeing, focus on mental wellbeing) to develop young people throughout their time with us. We enable young people to be in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.  

The delivery team always work in pairs, running our interventions across a variety of settings (including mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provisions, SEN schools, Youth Offenders Institutes, community centres and rugby clubs) working in the school timetable and between 3-7pm. While delivering our interventions is a big part of the job, you will also be responsible for supporting the team to ensure the successful collection of data, managing school relationships and delivering on partnership projects.

You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. We are looking for someone with a youth work, teaching, mentoring or sports coaching background to help strengthen our team as we work towards our forward strategy.

About the role

As an Engagement Officer, you will manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored 1:1 and group support to help them overcome barriers to employment. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new referrals, primarily targeting economically inactive individuals. Occasionally, you may need to work outside of normal hours to meet the needs of the role.
