About the role
This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. As Fundraising Lead, you’ll motivate and nurture a small, but mighty fundraising team working across a range of income streams including corporate, community, individual giving, trusts, legacies and challenge events.
The beauty of this role is its variety – delivering on the fundraising strategy, leading a passionate and dedicated team, as well as retaining the joy of hands-on fundraising and engagement with supporters. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be confident in switching between strategy, operations and leading by example with community partners and supporters.

About the Role:
As a talented and self-motivated Picture Editor, you’ll commission, curate and promote our best and most inspiring photographic content, showcasing stories from around the world. The post-holder will work with Brand, Digital, Media and other teams across WaterAid’s global federation to ensure that our best content is used in the most engaging ways. This role will support the Photography Team during a busy period to ensure outstanding photography outputs across the organisation.
In this role, you will act as a photography champion in promoting great content and best practice across WaterAid.
You’ll also:
- Lead on the management and administration of some cross-organisational photo based projects.
- Carry out image selections for brand assets, digital and social media channels and media pitches both proactively and as required by those teams. Carry out picture research requests and/or support colleagues in their research as required.
- Support the Photo Librarian in preparing and uploading new photographic content to Asset Bank along with associated stories, captions, usage rights and consents.
- Work with other members of the Photo team to brief and commission photographers as required.
- Support the development of 6 Community Voices Officers in their photography skills – both in shooting and editing their work.
About You:
- A proven eye for outstanding photography, and the ability to match the strongest imagery with brand and messaging requirements.
- To be passionate about photography, with a depth of both technical and theoretical knowledge and an awareness of current trends in photography and image making.
- Sound experience of working with a range of stakeholders and developing relationships internally and externally.
- A proactive nature with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
- Strong copy-editing skills and understanding of what makes a good story. Excellent written English, with meticulous attention to grammar and spelling in writing up and editing captions and case-studies.

The Role

Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX) is an organisation working towards an end to labour exploitation by addressing the systems and structures that make workers vulnerable to abuse. About the role:
FLEX is looking for someone with a passion for improving working conditions in service sectors, such as cleaning. In this role, you will support the development of more sustainable corporate responses through the development of a worker-informed human rights due diligence programme for businesses that contract cleaning services. Drawing on a 2-year pilot where we developed a worker-informed human rights due diligence framework, this work involves a strong worker-engagement element.
Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment for FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for ensuring workers are at the centre and actively involved in shaping solutions that work for them. Project Delivery :
- Planning, delivering and evaluating worker engagement activities, in line with FLEX’s strategy, safeguarding protocols and approach, ensuring the workers views inform all project outputs, including reports.

Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for CEO and Board recruitment
- Respond to RFIs and RFPs and lead on pitches
- Maintain a network of high-calibre contacts to raise the profile and reputation of the Board and Leadership Practice and Charity People
Project Delivery
- Advising clients and potential clients on current sector trends and on running open and inclusive recruitment campaigns
- Challenging and developing the role brief
- Design and execute talent acquisition strategies and brief our in-house researcher and delivery consultant accordingly
- Assessing candidates comprehensively and rigorously.
- Playing the lead role in longlisting/shortlisting meetings
- Advising and managing salary negotiations, packages, start dates, etc
- Collate market-related data such as salary surveys, industry trends, etc.
About You:

Essential criteria include:
- Prior experience in an exec search or recruitment firm, ideally in the Not for Profit/ Third Sector

Senior Finance Business Partners (Academic) provide strategic and financial management support to faculties; ensuring finance remains at the heart of decision making by providing expert advice and rigorous challenge and assurance.
The role will support the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & engineering Sciences (NMES) and our Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL) providing executive support to Faculty and executive leadership, resolving issues and representing Finance at senior committees. You will regularly liaise with senior stakeholders, building rapport, trust and demonstrating your ability to problem solve.
This role is expected to lead on the production of monthly management accounts, providing valuable insights and analysis to support senior decision making. Both areas are significant in size and scope requiring multi-disciplinary finance expertise in both finance business partnering and management accounting. Continuing focus on finance capability and strengthening the finance span within the areas you partner will be an important aspect of the role in delivering effective financial management. You will be expert, enthusiastic and an approachable finance professional with strong interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the FBP team supporting NMES and CIEL in relation to the regular forecasting and reporting cycle for faculty income and expenditure budgets; including tuition, research and operational expenditure
- Providing finance business partnering support across at both a senior and operational level; working closely with finance contacts for routine financial reporting
- Providing rigorous challenge and assurance to stakeholder across all financial aspects including business case development, financial controls and routine financial management
- Ensuring timely, accurate and insightful management information to budget holders; providing expert analysis to support decision making
- Evaluating risks and opportunities and developing a strong financial narrative through variance analysis and other financial modelling
- Developing budgeting, forecasting and costing models/tools at local level and integrating these into existing financial processes
- Support multi-year planning activities through our integrated planning processes, currently applicable to financial years 2024/25 – 2026/27
- Promote and encourage a better understanding of financial systems, processes and concepts within the faculties. Supporting wider initiatives to make financial processes and controls more efficient
The role holder will be based at Lavington Street in central London with the option of regular co-location with senior stakeholders situated on other KCL Campus’ in central London. Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Events team in delivering a range of high performing events. You will be one of the first points of contact for our event fundraisers, leading on a number of third party events, including the Manchester Marathon Weekend, our Threshold Sports partnership and our Independent Runs, Cycles and Challenges team. You'll provide support, materials and fundraising advice to all fundraisers, ensuring that high quality supporter relationship management is maintained at all times.
The secondary purpose is to support a range of areas including: invoice processing, up keeping website content and helping the team to guide our fundraisers through their journey and helping to creating engaging content for our digital platforms (Facebook , Instagram and Twitter).
Our Events team support a wide range of fundraising and engagement events including our Family Days, our annual flagship fundraising event; The Twilight Walk, The Lewis Moody Foundation and a variety of challenge events.
You will operate at the centre of a hands on fundraising team and will be supported to develop your event planning and management skills and play a key role in helping us to improve our supporter journeys. We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a can do attitude, who’s ready for a challenge, requiring you to juggle a myriad of priorities. You will also be required at times to support the wider Fundraising team.
The person

Key accountabilities
- Work closely with the Events team to ensure supporters are directed to the most appropriate team to support them in their fundraising journey. This includes being the first point of contact for all event enquiries, building relationships with supporters, processing event registrations and responding to all enquiries in a timely manner
- Send out t-shirts, certificates and thank you letters as well as any other fundraising materials to fundraisers in a timely manner ensuring they receive the best stewardship
- Ensure all enquiries are logged accurately on the database
- Lead on a number of third party challenges, including Manchester Marathon weekend and Threshold Sports challenges as well as our independent runs, cycles and challenges portfolio
- Develop existing relationships with supporters to further engage with The Charity
- Ensure event risk assessments are kept up to date across the portfolio
- Work as an integral support to the Events team in delivering on your event KPI’s as well as supporting the events team on our large scale events; London Marathon, Twilight Walk
- Ensure stock and merchandise is replenished and kept in a organised manner
- Lead on the event packing for up coming events ensuring items are returned to the correct locations as well as leading on the check in/out process of our event materials for other teams
- Attend numerous events throughout the year, representing The Charity and engaging with members of the public to raise awareness
- Provide support on the Lewis Moody Foundation alongside The Brain Tumour Charity, where required
