About the role

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.

In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC)  to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.

Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IDC strategic planning and delivery, ensuring team collaboration with the IDC Technical Advisor and Advocacy Lead.
• Manage relationships with IDC champions, facilitating their engagement through regular calls and meetings.
• Foster partnerships between IDC champions, GPSDD partners, and other organisations to share experiences and strengthen inclusive data systems.
• Lead the IDC impact and learning pillar, capturing and sharing progress through data stories and knowledge products.
• Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting for IDC and Sightsavers, making resource allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with the IDC Advocacy Lead to identify advocacy opportunities and plan major IDC events.
• Support the Technical Advisor in providing resources and tools for Champions to develop and implement inclusive data action plans.
• Facilitate engagement of IDC co-facilitating partners, including GPSDD, Sightsavers, the UK’s Office for National Statistics and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
• Lead Sightsavers’ inclusive data portfolio globally, engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Line manage the Inclusive Data Project Manager and Inclusive Data Operations & Planning Coordinator, overseeing workplans and progress.
• Stay informed on trends in data disaggregation and inclusive data, including the SDGs and the goal to leave no one behind.

About you

The Programme Manager will provide programme leadership for the Inclusive Data Charter initiative, ensuring the development and delivery of agreed plans. You will coordinate the engagement of co-facilitating partners and ensure effective participation by Champions in Charter management. Additionally, you will advance reporting and learning mechanisms to track progress against Champion Action Plans.

The Programme Manager will oversee Sightsavers’ inclusive data programme at a global level, offering strategic leadership across the portfolio. Strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners will be key to advancing organisational objectives and enhancing Sightsavers’ leadership in inclusive data.

Jobholder Requirements

Knowledge (education and related experience)

• Demonstrable experience in strategy, project management, advocacy and/or communications in international development or foreign policy
• Team leadership and staff management experience, preferably in a decentralised environment
• Proven ability to coordinate stakeholders across sectors and geography
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with people from a wide variety of organisations, cultures, and with a wide variety of functional expertise
• Experience with the Sustainable Development Goals, international development or work with marginalised groups required

About the role

Sightsavers’ work in the field of education is driven by the principle of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. We are looking for a Global Technical Lead – Inclusive Education to provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education to guide the development and delivery of specific initiatives and programmes.

As the Global Technical Lead for Inclusive Education, you will support Sightsavers to promote inclusive education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities in education systems in West Africa, East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSA), and South Asia. Working across multiple countries, you will ensure that disability inclusion is at the centre of conceptualisation, design and implementation of Sightsavers’ projects.

Strong communication skills in English and French are essential for this role, as is the availability to travel 12-16 weeks a year, nationally and internationally.

Principal accountabilities will include:

• To provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education at the programmatic level
• To strengthen the global programme portfolio in inclusive education through leading strategic and technical inputs in proposal development for funding opportunities.

We are looking for a skilled communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across different departments and work collaboratively as a member of our cross-functional teams.  To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Postgraduate qualification (minimum Master’s) or equivalent experience in a relevant field, e.g. education, special needs education; disability, international development
• Business to fluent French language skills
• A proven record of leading, developing and implementing programmes in inclusive education in lower income countries.
• Experience of working with national governments and international institutions such as Global Partnership for Education, UN agencies, bilateral agencies as well as non-state actors to contribute to education system transformation.
• Knowledge of current developments, issues and best practice in inclusive education to effectively address the barriers to education for children with disabilities

We are seeking a professional, caring and sensitive Behaviour Analyst or Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our committed Therapy Team. Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Head of Trusts and Foundations to develop and maintain an outstanding portfolio of Trusts and Foundations focusing on large (six-figures+) multi-year commitments in the UK and US, and to lead the Trusts and Foundations team to reach ambitious fundraising targets and develop long-lasting relationships with funders.

The RSC Development Department works to achieve an income target of over £8 million annually of which more than £1.5 million comes from Trusts and Foundations. Our ambition is to be raising £10 million annually by 2026.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

• Managing and leading a portfolio of large multi-year Trusts and Foundation approaches working with senior colleagues including the Senior Leadership Team.
• Creating high-quality, compelling, accurate written proposals and reports with clear robust budgets.

The Role

As Business Development Director you will have strategic responsibility for income and growth across the charity. Duties will include:

• Leading on the income generation, communications and marketing strategy.

• Leading the tendering and partnership processes to fulfil strategic objectives.
• Developing and implementing strategies to drive all income streams to achieve growth.

The Person

We are looking for a visionary leader! An experienced, motivating and influential individual who is passionate about the values, ethos and mission of the charity. The skills and experience we are looking for include:

• Experience in a leading and delivering an organisational growth strategy, in either a charity or business context. 
• A good understanding of bid framework, commissioning and tendering.
• Proven experience of devising, managing, and implementing a budget and of financial modelling.
• Experience developing and implementing income generation strategies and of diversifying income.

Assistant Head of Public Fundraising

There’s a brand-new role in the YMCA’s rapidly growing fundraising team and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!

We’re looking for an expert in public fundraising, with the leadership background and presence to comfortably deputise for the Head of Fundraising.  You are solutions-focussed, are a strategic thinker and you naturally build strong working relationships with partners and supporters alike.

This is an opportunity to oversee the newly created Public Fundraising team. That team comprises Individual Giving, Legacies and Major donors, leading a team of ten fundraisers, directly managing four fundraising leads: Acquisition, Retention, Legacies and Major Donor. Our Individual Giving programme is already hugely successful, and you will work with the team to develop and deliver strategies to grow legacy income and establish a new Major Donor programme.

You’ll join supportive, highly ambitious colleagues and oversee the delivery of existing and new fundraising activities. You’ll regularly experience first-hand the difference your work makes to the lives of young people.
