The focus of the role is to manage a team of 3 in everyday financial operations, including but not limited to month-end close and Balance Sheet reconciliations, monthly management accounts and variance analysis, weekly payment runs and VAT submissions. The role also will be supporting the Head of Finance in process improvements and internal financial controls, budgeting and statutory reporting, and business partnering.

Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. Job Summary

The National Distribution Centre (NDC) Manager role is key in ensuring a resilient supply chain for St John Ambulance. Responsible for the implementation and management of the systems, process and people working within the NDC warehouse. The NDC manager is accountable for ensuring that stock is received, stored, managed, and dispatched appropriately including quality control checks as required. The NDC warehouse manager is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are complied with, and all required training is completed by the personnel working within the NDC. About You: 

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

The fundraising team at Leeds Castle was established relatively recently, in January 2023, and is responsible for securing funds from trusts, foundations, public bodies and individuals. Working with the Head of Audience Development & Fundraising, you will drive forward their fundraising strategy, strengthen the trusts and foundations pipeline and apply for match funding opportunities. The new fundraising department will focus on creating a fundraising strategy, setting up systems and processes, researching approaches and building their pipeline of funders almost from scratch. Community Engagement Manager
Reporting to: Head of Community Engagement

The British Science Association's mission is to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science. The BSA’s Community Engagement programmes focus on reaching people who are underrepresented in science and research.

The Community Engagement Manager will specialise in growing, diversifying, and supporting our community engagement programmes.

The role will develop, manage and deliver high quality programmes by supporting community organisers and community-researcher partnerships. This will include programmes focusing on community engagement with science and research, as well as participatory grant making.

Key responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Extend the BSA’s engagement with grassroot community organisations and communities underserved by science and research.

• increase community voice and representation in the science engagement, research and innovation sectors.

In addition, the post-holder will be expected to:

• Support the Head of Community Engagement to proactively strengthen the organisation’s profile and reputation among external partners and stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Head of Community Engagement, other managers and teams (particularly The Ideas Fund) to develop new programmes and improve existing ones and share best practice in community engagement across the organisation and with the wider sector.
• Support with writing funding bids that lead to the growth of the community engagement portfolio.
• Seek meaningful feedback from the communities that will be affected by planned activities (e.g. underserved audiences).

Head of Consulting (Intelligence Product)

We are looking for an individual with an intelligence background who has a passion for preventing modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT), creating and delivering intelligence products, has human rights, ESG, and/or financial crime knowledge. Our prevention program team also regularly interacts with individuals at high risk of being trafficked and therefore robust safeguarding is essential.

Our Intelligence Team research and produce our Exploitation Analytics service – a suite of reports containing actionable insight that our clients utilise to find potential bad actors operating within their transaction monitoring systems. We also offer a Business Resilience package to help companies mitigate the risk of potential exploitation within supply chains and operations through intelligence sharing and practical guidance.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will build partner and client relationships, develop our current team members, and continue to innovate our offering to better prevent and disrupt human trafficking.

Responsibilities:

• Leading our work to develop strategic and tactical insights that will enable a spectrum of actors (business, banks, law enforcement) to prevent MSHT. This may include safeguarding potential victims or victims.
• Providing expertise to support our team of managers who deliver the above reporting and consulting to commercial organisations.
• Effectively pitching our products and services to secure new clients and increase our impact.
• Nurturing and developing existing commercial relationships and collaborations.
• Ability to manage and set targets, and report on progress regularly.
• Developing new offerings that increase the effectiveness and impact of our work, turning intelligence into relevant actionable insight for commercial clients.
• Supporting our internal MEL lead to document and evidence the impact of our intelligence services.
• Participating in public-facing events to promote STOP THE TRAFFIK and engage different audiences in this fight.
• Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Team to strategically develop our organisation and drive sustainable growth.
• Direct line management and leadership of Intelligence Managers.
• Promoting collaborations across all teams in an agile manner.
