BACKGROUND 

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons.  Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE 

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Pipeline development and cultivation:   

• To develop a relationship with the supported schools in their respective area, to enable, preserve, embed, enhance and extend stigma and barrier free breakfast pron.

• To educating and engage with the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people on the importance of breakfast and implications of hunger as a barrier learning through various means including assemblies, staff meetings, online events and regional events throughout the academic year.

• To engage with the wider community to advocate for the importance of breakfast, the work that we are doing in existing schools and to support our campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

• To develop brand awareness in schools and local communities in line with our marketing strategy

• To support the recruitment of new schools with launching new breakfast provisions, adapting to the requirements of the school and children and young people, and advising on best practise

• To support any media requests as directed through the Policy & Engagement team

• To capture and report on “storytelling” to enable the organisation to utilise qualitative data to support external communication

• To explore, share and deliver on new engagement ideas across the department and organisation

• To enable, support and feedback on new ways of working, trials and innovations

Skills and abilities

Delivering activities to raise the profile of involvement and coproduction, the Lived Experience Insight team works alongside people with experience of homelessness and barriers to work. People with lived experience steer the direction of Shelter’s work by helping design services, campaigning, getting involved in local events or speaking out against the housing emergency and we work closely with them to ensure lived experience is at the core of everything we do.

The Triage Worker sits within the Triage Team in the pilot area, working alongside the Triage IDVA. The Triage Worker will focus on all aspects of the case relating to the Perpetrator in cases where the perpetrator has been referred to the team for an assessment of suitability for a Positive Requirement during an application for a DAPO.

Respect is a pioneering UK domestic abuse charity, leading the development of safe, effective work with perpetrators, with young people who are abusive and with male victims. Respect supports frontline organisations across the UK, so that together we can end domestic abuse. Respect has seen rapid growth over the last few years, and we now have 50+ staff and have ambitious plans for further growth and influence. This role is based within the Drive Partnership and is part of the pilot for the roll out of the positive requirement element of the DAPO’s.

We’re looking for someone to work with schools across Lewisham to improve the education and health potential of Young Carers. You’ll work alongside our wider team supporting Unpaid Carers across the borough.

You’ll develop relationships with schools and school staff, raising awareness and supporting the identification of Young Carers within education settings, and supporting the development of policy, guidance and resources. You’ll work one-to-one and with groups of Young Carers, and carry out home-based visits to offer support interventions.  

As a Young Carers Schools Coordinator, you will also support the planning and delivery of the service’s activity package, including respite activities, online groups and face-to-face sessions.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with children, young people, and families in social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Young Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Making Music is the UK association for leisure-time music, with 4,000 music groups in membership including choirs, bands, ensembles of all kinds, orchestras, and more.

We are now looking for a part-time (3 days per week/22.5 hours a week) Marketing & Sales Manager.

This is a key role within the Membership & Services team and works closely with the Membership & Services Manager, the Deputy CEO for Membership & Business Development, and the Communications Manager, to help Making Music grow its membership, retain current members, and deepen its engagement with existing members, encouraging their uptake of services, resources and other opportunities.

This role is for someone with experience in marketing who is ready to take on a role with greater responsibility and strategic input.

We would expect you to develop and implement a marketing strategy on recruitment and retention of members, as well as various marketing campaigns related to particular services and activities Making Music offers.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference through the playing a vital role in our Philanthropy Team. 
Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager this role is responsible for working alongside their line manager, wider team and operational colleagues to write and support applications to trusts and foundations for funding.

The role also plays a key role in the stewardship of our trust and foundation supporters, building strong and meaningful relationships with these organisations and individuals.  Whilst not a key focus of this role, the post holder may also be required to support the Philanthropy Team’s wider work including corporate and major donor approaches.

Leicester Cathedral is looking to appoint to the role Finance Officer.

Based in the Cathedral Offices at St Martins House, the Finance Officer works as part of a small team looking after the day-to-day accounting requirements of the Cathedral but supports the senior team with its strategic aims. In a fast-changing environment, the Finance Officer will help navigate the financial landscape and help to create a financially savvy workforce and financial literacy throughout the Cathedral organisation.

Please note that you must be a part or fully qualified AAT or ACCA accountant.

The Finance Officer will be a proactive and conscientious member of the Finance team undertaking the following key duties:

• Assist the Chief Financial Officer using a wide range of administrative and computer skills as well as maintaining a range of knowledge and understanding of procedures, protocols, and functions
• Help maintain a policy of regular review and tight control of the Cathedral’s finances using forecasting, and key performance indicators using financial measures
