About the Role

As the Outreach and Engagement Lead for Enfield SASS, you would be working on an exciting new project to train and upskill local businesses to respond effectively to Violence Against Women and Girls. The focus would be on engaging businesses operating in the nighttime economy, to access Enfield Council training to support their staff to safeguard and respond to incidents or disclosures of gender-based violence in the local area. You would be working closely with Enfield Council and the Police to set up and run the 6-month project.

About You

You will need a passion for tackling VAWG and a thorough understanding of gender based violence and its impact on women and their children.

You will have excellent communication skills, in order to liaise and engage with businesses, stakeholders and Enfield Council. You will also have the ability to collate data and report on the project outcomes. You will be able to work autonomously and use initiative in the project management, with the support of the Service Manager and project steering group.

Working to support the Senior Development Manager, Trusts and Foundations; the Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations will help to deliver the trust and foundation fundraising strategy. The post-holder will work alongside Development colleagues to identify funding opportunities both in the UK and internationally. The post-holder will have responsibility for securing significant new funds to support the strategic priorities of our £300 million fundraising campaign which covers a wide range of areas. This work will focus particularly on proposals for four and five figure gifts.

The post-holder will assist the Senior Development Manager, Trusts and Foundations, in cultivating currently engaged and new trusts, foundations and charities. They will work with the Senior Development Assistant (Research) to grow the pipeline of giving through research into suitable trusts and foundations whose aims are closely aligned with the strategic priorities of the University.

The post-holder will have experience of trust and foundation fundraising accompanied by a sound knowledge of university fundraising. They will be a creative and strategic thinker and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work proactively, both internally and externally. This role will require knowledge of trust and foundation funders, excellent written communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.

The Role

As a Volunteer Officer, your main focus will be to manage volunteers to carry out important habitat management tasks at regular conservation group sessions and develop one-off flexible and weekend volunteering opportunities. You will also support on delivering our corporate ‘Park days’ sessions, as well as also working on the Hedgehog project in Regent’s Park. This role is varied and will see the successful applicant working primarily in the Regents Park and Greenwich Park, but with work across all of the parks when support is required. 

This role involves a lot of in park time, working with and supporting volunteers on the ground in physical conservation work. On average the Volunteer officer will spend 3-4 days each week in the parks delivering sessions.  The ideal applicant will be friendly, open, enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience working with and managing volunteers, in a hands-on conservation or park setting. 

You will champion volunteering best practice, inclusivity and diversity across the organisation, develop volunteer resources and ensure the appropriate support and training is in place for volunteers, partners and the staff who manage volunteers. 

Additionally, you will: 

• Work with the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate other volunteer projects and programmes 
• Write volunteer role descriptions, work plans, policies and robust risk assessments 
• Ensure appropriate and accurate data on volunteers and associated activities are recorded 
• Be aware of and always follow guidelines safeguarding of children and adults at risk.

About You 

To join us as a Volunteer Officer, you will need: 

• Proven experience of working with, managing, and training volunteers, especially conservation volunteers. With a strong knowledge of safe use and maintenance of all hand tools. 
• In depth knowledge and practical skills in conservation, park, or nature reserve management 
• Awareness of equality and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding 
• Excellent people skills including team working, negotiating, problem solving and the ability to be calm and decisive in challenging situations

We are seeking to appoint a Money Advice Case Worker with extensive experience of welfare benefits, debt advice and the relief of poverty.  Holding an IMA (Institute of Money Advisers’) qualification or recent GGDA (Giving Good Debt Advice) training will be essential.

Key Job purpose/Core Duties:

a) The delivery to AQS standard of the core Money Advice (benefit and debt casework) Service. This may be via telephone, MS Teams, email or face to face.

b) The provision of advocacy and court representation at tribunals or other statutory bodies as appropriate.

c) Taking client instructions; this may include, but is not limited to; drafting letters/emails to the client and third parties, preparing financial statements and negotiating with third parties.

d) Ensuring income maximisation through the take up of appropriate welfare benefits.

This fantastic organisation is looking for a Fundraising Specialist to generate income for the charity through the implementation of a Trust Fundraising Strategy. 

The Role 

This is a hugely exciting time for Trust Fundraising at Candlelighters and this role provides a great opportunity for an experienced Fundraiser to develop and achieve success. Duties will include:

• Preparing compelling Trust applications 
• Researching new Trust and Foundations funding opportunities
• Identifying creative ways to maximise Candlelighters appeal to Trusts
• Providing a professional and personal service to Trust funders (via on and offline channels)
• Monitoring the income and expenditure of restricted funding. 

The Person

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should be an experienced fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of securing funding from Trusts and Foundations. You should be comfortable developing and delivery a fundraising strategy, and of setting and monitoring fundraising budgets. Creative and persuasive, you should be a good communicator with the ability to bring to life the stories of Candlelighters that make it such a unique and special place that funders to want to support.

Even though SolarAid are a charity we believe in business based solutions to poverty using solar technology, as this is more sustainable and spreads faster than handouts - so we run a social enterprise in Africa called SunnyMoney.

About the role

SolarAid are looking for an individual with experience of fundraising who can proactively engage, build relationships and provide high levels of stewardship to a variety of supporters, alongside increasing awareness of our work.

You will play a vital role in driving all supporter activities, such as direct mail Supporter appeals, our regular giving programme and supporting community groups and individuals with their fundraising.

Your focus will be to support all activities across Individual Giving, assisting in identifying, developing and supporting fundraising opportunities to maximise activity and income, alongside helping to create and maintain meaningful supporter journeys that strengthen the relationship between supporters and SolarAid.

You will be hands-on with assisting the Supporter Engagement Manager in leading on all direct marketing campaigns, ensuring that the process is managed effectively from start to finish. You will also be responsible for carrying out presentations and talks when requested so that our supporters remain engaged.

Responsibilities:

• To support all activities across the Supporter Engagement area, assisting to identify, develop and support fundraising opportunities to maximise activity and income.

Supporter Engagement

• Support on developing and coordinating fundraising across multiple streams, including individual giving (regular giving and supporter appeals), community fundraising and legacies.
• Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Play a key role in achieving agreed income targets and helping to increase year-on-year.
• Play a key role in managing direct mailing campaigns when appropriate.
• Lead a number of innovative and impactful fundraising and supporter engagement projects on behalf of SolarAid.
• Focus on story-telling and equipping supporters, of all kinds, with the tools they need to spread the message to their networks.

Supporter Development

• When required, deliver talks to supporters, including schools and community groups.
• Provide outstanding stewardship of our supporters, developing a supporter journey that grows their connection to SolarAid, increasing engagement and giving.
• Through every interaction with supporters, aim to inspire and motivate people to support the work of SolarAid so that they can advocate on our behalf.
• Proactively identify and implement new ways of improving supporter engagement.
• Produce accurate and timely reports on activity and performance as required, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Work with all teams to coordinate and ensure consistent messaging and communications to encourage long-term relationships with our existing supporters.

About You

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Experience of working in a fundraising team of a charity, particularly working in individual giving and/or community fundraising.
• Experience of using a CRM database (ideally Salesforce) to support relationship management alongside reporting and analysis of data to provide insights.
• Experience of managing, motivating and developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to engage, inspire and enthuse a range of supporters to raise funds and nurture relationships

Growing Younger Team Roles – Mission Enabler (Youth)

The Diocese of Durham is seeking proactive, dynamic and pioneering individuals with a passion for reaching and discipling emerging generations to be part of our new Growing Younger team of Mission Enablers.

The Growing Younger team will work collaboratively and creatively to enable the delivery of the Growing Younger stream of the Diocesan Transformation programme, with a specific focus on building mission and discipleship pathways for 0-25s, growing missional chaplaincy in FE colleges and schools, and raising up new youth and children’s leaders.

The successful candidates will each have a focused area of work (children, youth, young adults) and will work both individually and collectively to support the development and implementation of local mission initiatives, spending a substantial proportion of their time in parishes and deaneries to raise local aspirations, grow local vision and strategy, increase local capacity and pioneer local mission.

Successful candidates must:

Ø  Have a deep commitment to a personal Christian faith with a motivation to see that grow in emerging generations, and a prayerful and hopeful response to challenge.

Ø  Be an excellent organiser with great initiative.

Ø  Be experienced in coordinating and leading ministry with emerging generations and in developing and supporting volunteers.

Ø  Be positive, adaptable and an excellent team player.

Ø  Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to nurture skills and gifts in others.
