We are looking for a talented, passionate person to join our Senior Leadership Team to oversee our finance operations. With more growth planned over the next 2 years we want to find someone who has the experience to oversee the day to day finances of a large regional charity and to lead and nurture our finance staff. This role will provide a stable platform for growth. 

Using your can-do attitude, mixed with excellent communication, organisational and administration skills, you’ll focus on supporting our CEO and Trustees across our sites. The role includes tasks such as producing monthly management accounts, oversight of payroll, management of our internal financial controls, Year End reporting preparation and leading our small team in the general smooth running of finances. This is a part-time role with the potential to increase as we expand. 

The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) is the voice of firefighters in the UK.  We are the only recognised trade union negotiating nationally for firefighters and emergency fire control staff.

We're seeking a talented and driven individual to lead our social media, digital content and video operation. You will:

· Develop social media strategies that maximise engagement and support for the FBU, its aims and campaigns

· Shoot, script and edit videos; edit audio; and design infographics and other relevant digital content

· Run a reactive/trends-driven social media operation aligned with the objectives of the FBU

The FBU already has a small, effective communications team covering campaigns, press and external communications. If you have these skills, great. But what we are looking for in this post is someone with the passion and technical skills to take our social media, video and digital content to the next level. 

You’ll collaborate with other teams and union activists to bring projects to life, and you’ll have great storytelling skills.  You’ll also be willing and able to travel and attend events frequently.

The Role 

The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one and group basis. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service.

We have 2 positions available. One at Hammersmith & Fulham for a full time position, and one at Hounslow for a part time position. 

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00 (midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. 

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc. 
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

About the role:

As our Finance Manager you will be at the heart of the charity’s operations and play a vital role in helping us embark on a new 3-year strategy. Working closely with the Director of Operations and CEO your role and expertise will be pivotal in driving excellence and integrity in financial management and strategic financial decisions.

Your responsibilities will span the entire financial lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting and meticulous reporting. You will also lead on management reporting, cashflow planning and the delivery of WellChild’s audit, Annual Report & Accounts.

What are we looking for:

You will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles (ideally from within the charity sector), strong analytical skills; be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking and have a proficiency in accounting alongside a relevant finance qualification; ACA, ACCA, ACMA (qualification by experience maybe considered).

As the main finance role for the charity ( supported by the Operations Team) you w ill be an excellent communicator, unflappable and diligent individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys a diverse workload.

Have advanced excel skills, experience of charity accounts, SORP and charity VAT and be able to plan, prioritise and organise your work with impeccable attention to detail.

We have an exciting opportunity for a person centred, highly organised Projects Officer to join our 188-year-old evolving grassroots charity based in Bermondsey. Our passionate and committed team hosts several key projects to promote human dignity and examples of co-production between the charity, public and private sectors. 

About the Role

The South London Mission is seeking a Projects Officer to join the team with specific responsibility for managing, enabling, co-ordinating and developing our mission projects.    

This role will report to the Director of Engagement and Influence and will work closely with the Projects Co-Ordinator and other paid and voluntary project team members.

Key areas of responsibility include:

· Effective management of projects

· Effective administration and coordination of projects

· Ensuring achievement of impact targets and funded project milestones

· Recruitment and management of project staff & volunteers

· Promotion of the work of South London Mission

About You

We are looking for a person who is both people centred and highly organised to manage, coordinate and support our mission projects with minimal direction and supervision. 

You will be a highly pro-active, self-motivated problem solver with a ‘can do attitude’, as well as being kind, empathic and servant hearted with a professional manner. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving the needs of the most vulnerable in Bermondsey and Southwark and will show commitment to the mission and values of the South London Mission
