We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Digital Inclusion Community Builder to join our team of committed, value-driven people focused on mobilising community-led social change across Gloucester.
The Digital Inclusion Community Builder role is part of an exciting partnership, the 'Gloucestershire Digital Hubs Project' which aims to increase digital inclusion across all six districts in Gloucestershire, offering free, accessible, tailored support to individuals, facilitated by a group of seven partner organisations. As the partner covering Gloucester, we aim to establish digital hubs in communities across the city, enabling people to access and use digital technologies to enhance their lives and participate fully in society. The primary focus is on addressing existing digital inequalities that prevent people from reaching their full potential.
Supported by our team of community builders, you will continue the work of facilitating the development of community-based digital hubs, leveraging existing connections, spaces, and organisations within local communities. Your role will involve understanding how digital tools can support and enhance people's existing skills and passions, as well as encouraging them to share their expertise through formal and informal volunteer roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Digital Inclusion and Community Engagement:
- Facilitate digital inclusion by building confidence and capacity within communities to take action for themselves.
- Encourage the use of digital tools and social networks to build connections within communities.
- Develop strengths-based approaches to digital inclusion and engage with communities to understand their needs and aspirations.
2. Digital Hub Development and Support:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing digital "assets" and community meeting spaces within Gloucester.
- Create, and work towards, an action plan outlining how communities can be encouraged to establish or build upon existing digital hubs, sharing good practices and ideas.
- Develop a training and skills plan to maximise the contribution of existing community builders, organisations, and volunteers, enabling mutual support within communities.
- Identify any gaps or specific training needs and leverage existing opportunities.
- Ensure existing hubs are supported.
3. Collaboration and Network Building:
- Work to establish a network for digital inclusion across Gloucester, fostering partnerships and collaborations with voluntary, community, and business organisations.
- Contribute to the countywide Digital and Community Hub Forum, ensuring consistent progress and momentum.
4. Digital Champion Volunteer Programme:
- Recruit, train, and manage Digital Champion volunteers to build sustainability across digital hubs in Gloucester.
- Provide ongoing support and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for volunteers.
5. Funding and Resource Support:
- Signpost and share knowledge between hubs on how to access funding for their ideas or projects.
- Support the development of a sustainable strategy for digital inclusion across Gloucester.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Storytelling:
- Undertake risk assessments of all activities as required.
- Collect information on successes and lessons learned, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation requirements of the project.
- Help people share and celebrate their stories of success.

About the Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network has had a Domestic Abuse Service in Three Rivers since 2017. The aim of the Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.
About the Role
You will be line managed by the Domestic Abuse Service Team Leader for Hertfordshire Mind Network but will manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and working on your own initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
- Improve risk management and safety for clients
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients
- Contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
- Reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
- Increase the reporting of children at risk of harm
- Put any necessary safeguards in place
- Increase successful court outcomes by proactively supporting clients

- Work with the wider team within Hertfordshire Mind Network and support clients in accessing additional support e.g. counselling, peer support, employment support and self-development courses.

Working within a network of GP surgeries, we support both patients and clinicians, contributing to the overall holistic approach to supporting those living with cancer. This integrates the ‘beyond medicine’ approaches offered by the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) into the cancer pathway. The service undertakes holistic needs assessments and provides practical and emotional support, acting as a single point of access for patients on the cancer pathway. Working closely with clinical staff and additional roles, this role ensures a more integrated approach across the Health and Social Care sector.
This post is an exciting opportunity to work with Nottingham City’s PCN 8 (Clifton and Meadows). Using the Macmillan Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment to support Cancer Care Reviews will ensure patients have access to the right support for all their non-clinical needs. The post will also work on the preventative agenda, supporting uptake of cancer screening across the PCNs and supporting the practices within the PCNs to deliver their improvement plan around early diagnosis of cancer (in line with NHS England and NHS Improvement - QOF Quality Improvement domain 20/21 – Early diagnosis of cancer). Job Purpose and Objectives

- Monitor Cancer QOF lists, offering support, Cancer Care Reviews, and completing eHNAs for eligible patients as appropriate.

Who are we looking for?

About the Role
Community Connectors work as part of an integrated, blended mental health offer to support people with emotional, social and practical needs to access a range of local, non-medical and non-clinical services, to improve confidence, social inclusion and independence.
This role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with statutory, third sector and NHS colleagues to support clients who are suffering from moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will need to have experience working with those suffering with mental health illness as well as being able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the services, support networks and local resources that may assist in improved outcomes for those dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues. The ability to be adaptable, work independently and the resilience to work in some challenging environments are key attributes for this role.

The Day to Day
You will:
· Help to identify community partners in Darnall and establish trusting relationships with them. Liaise directly with them, helping to identify their needs and develop opportunities for the museums and collections to be useful to partners.
· Collaboratively facilitate projects with communities that will use the collections to explore environmental change in different ways, trying new things and evaluating impact.
· Act as a representative and advocate of Sheffield Museums and liaise with external stakeholders and partners including but not limited to universities, community and interest groups, creative and environmental practitioners, businesses and specialist network agencies, taking the opportunity to promote fundraising where appropriate.
· Be responsible for your own safety, the safety of colleagues and visitors, taking all appropriate measures required to maintain the security and safety of collections, buildings and people
· Monitor the activity of volunteers to ensure a high standard of service is provided.
