We are looking for an experienced Content Writer to work for an exciting not-for-profit organisation.
Position: Content Writer
Location: London/Hybrid – based in the London office 3 days a week
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)

About the role:
Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Content Writer supports the delivery of the organisation’s editorial activities and publications, in particular Regulatory Rapporteur, the organisation’s international peer-reviewed journal for its members.
This includes drafting and editing content and managing its distribution across the organisation’s publishing and communication channels. As part of this, they will work closely with Regulatory Rapporteur’s external Editorial Board, as well as colleagues in the organisation’s Marketing Team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Assist in the editorial production of Regulatory Rapporteur
· Contribute to sub-editing and layout of articles in the content management system of Regulatory Rapporteur’s online platform
· Proof-read and finalise pages for online publication
· Contribute to the admin processes related to the journal’s production
· Provide copywriting and editorial support across the organisation’s digital channels and lead on the delivery of corporate collateral and print materials
· Contribute to the delivery and development of a wide range of corporate communications across all channels
· Source and write/repurpose news stories and messaging for targeted audiences and channels
· Understand the importance of design and imagery to support messaging
· Work with other internal teams on editorial opportunities
· Produce a range of membership newsletters, both general and specialist interest
· Assist reporting on appropriate events
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience with editorial processes, and be able to provide outstanding web, editorial and corporate messaging in a B2B publishing or association environment with a scientific focus. You will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:
· Be educated to at least a degree level and have experience in copy editing for different media.
· Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office and be able to use CRM databases and content management systems.
· Experience of writing/repurposing content, including industry news
· Have creative and imaginative input whilst ensuring attention to detail and quality focus
· Have an analytical outlook and a systematic approach to work and managing tight deadlines.

We are looking for energetic and organised individuals to support and coordinate our community engagement activities for urban forest projects and initiatives. This involves planning, delivering, and reporting back on community consultations, educational workshops, public tree-planting events and other activities.
The role is public-facing, so we are looking for confident and adaptable communicators who are comfortable engaging residents in a range of communities, schools, and interest groups and are passionate about what we do at Trees for Cities.
This role accommodates hybrid working for days that do not involve practical on-site, office work or in person meetings. Generally, this works out to 2 WFH days per week.

The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The Directorate exists to help shape the world around us – and what the NSPCC does – so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse. The PAPA team develops and holds the NSPCC’s positions on key public policy issues and harnesses these to influence policy makers and external stakeholders across the UK. The PAPA team’s strategic focus is divided into five ‘workstreams’: child protection and children’s social care; early years; child sexual abuse; online safety; supporting young victims and witnesses.
We are now seeking a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to play a leading role in the online safety workstream to ensure legislative and policy frameworks in England and the UK are fit for purpose in preventing online abuse and harm to children.
You will join the team at a crucial moment for children in the UK and help us make the case for strong and ambitious regulation and legislation to ensure every child is safe online.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will lead the development of new policy positions and delivery of public affairs strategies to achieve regulatory, policy and legal change which tackles abuse and harm to children online. This will involve evidence-based policy development, being responsible for thematic policy areas, and playing a key role in forming and delivering public affairs and influencing strategies.
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you can hit the ground running and deliver high impact policy outputs and public affairs initiatives to ensure the NSPCC delivers real change in the best interests of children and continues to be seen as a credible and authoritative voice on online harms.
As an effective communicator you’ll have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with a proven record of building in-depth knowledge of complex subject matter and developing a wide range of relationships to successfully influence policy decision making. Founded nearly 20 years ago by Jane Howorth MBE, the British Hen Welfare Trust is a national hen welfare charity which rehomes over 60,000 hens a year around the UK. Based in mid Devon, and affectionately referred to as Hen Central, the charity works collaboratively with the industry, public, and many national stakeholders to improve hen welfare and raise awareness of hens around the globe. In addition to rehoming hens, our work extends further to education, mental wellbeing, nutritional campaigns, and global veterinary initiatives. About the role
This is a very exciting time to join the team, with the imminent rehoming of the millionth hen and the national coverage this presents, you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. The full-time role of Community Fundraiser is a new position in a recently restructured Fundraising team, working with the Head of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Corporate and Trust Fundraising Manager. This is a home-based role with regular travel to Hen Central for meetings, events and ad hoc tasks so it would be ideal for someone who is South West based. You will be responsible for developing relationships with existing and new community fundraisers on supporter-led activity and engaging them in our fun and exciting fundraising income streams such as Egg Club, Bake! for Hens' Sake! and Sponsor a Hen to meet objectives and income targets.

Main Purpose of Job:
The purpose of this exciting new role is to raise community fundraising income by building and developing relationships with key community fundraisers, community groups, fundraising volunteers, schools and community stakeholders. As the main lead in the charity for community fundraising, you will encourage, motivate and promote the work of our dedicated and loyal community fundraisers on their varied and wide-ranging fundraising endeavours to maximise income and support of the BHWT.

5. To work with the Head of Fundraising to develop a calendar of supporter-led running events in 2025 and beyond, ensuring places are promoted and that prospective runners are well supported and managed in order to reach individual targets.
6. To work proactively with Marketing and Communications colleagues and provide compelling and engaging content for use in communication channels including the BHWT’s supporter magazine and social media channels to encourage supporters to fundraise for hens and thank/acknowledge.
7. To manage and facilitate communications effectively across key community fundraising streams to aid retention and secure future support e.g. the quarterly newsletter to Egg Club and regular updates to the Sponsor a Hen audiences.
8. To provide monthly reports to the Head of Fundraising in all areas of Community Fundraising.
9. To administer the various elements of the fundraising streams e.g. sending out fundraising packs and thank you letters.
10. To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including GDPR and data protection.
11. To maintain accurate records on SharePoint and Salesforce.
12. To provide support to other areas of fundraising where appropriate and undertake ad hoc tasks from time to time as required within the charity.
13. To attend events on behalf of the charity from time to time.

The In Reach Hospital Emergency Department Family Support Programme model offers a robust way of supporting often vulnerable families to uncover and address unmet need. Through identifying the underlying factors causing the clinical presentation and attendance, and addressing holistic needs of the family unit, we hope activity to unscheduled, primary and emergency care is dramatically and sustainably reduced.
The model is based on Family Support Workers based within Children's Emergency Departments, offering holistic, family-oriented support in a flexible manner either in-person, telephone- based and home visits to be able to address the underlying causes of repeated / avoidable ED attendances.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for volunteering and training who can aide in helping to build and sustain a solid and quality framework for the volunteering and workforce training provision at Mind BLMK.
The successful candidate will aide in the creation and administration of cohesive processes and systems for workforce training and in ensuring that Mind BLMK increases its engagement of volunteers, which will include establishing community links and supporting the organisation’s vision and values.
Key Duties
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and mapping of Mind BLMK’s current workforce training offer, helping to identify gaps in provision (e.g. through staff appraisals, supervisions etc.), evaluate alternative solutions and making recommendations for effective and impactful training pathways as needed for all staff and volunteers.

- Continue to review and monitor all existing volunteer roles on an ongoing basis to ensure an effective volunteer contribution in line with contractual obligations where appropriate is maintained across all departments.
- Aide managers with procedures for designing volunteer roles, managing enquiries, applications, interviews, references, DBS checks and provide a supportive oversight of each candidate’s volunteering cycle.
- Support the induction of volunteers ensuring they are positively onboarded into Mind BLMK and understand the culture, values, and code of conduct.
