Your role

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Worthing shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

This is a fundamental role within our West regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public.

These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.

You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.

The Service Delivery Manager role is ideal for someone who thrives when building relationships with young people, is highly organised, and has the passion and drive to achieve outcomes in challenging environments. This is an exciting on-the-ground position, working mainly within prisons in East Midlands, but as part of a team working in prisons nationally, as well as in the community in partnership with other organisations. You will be responsible for engaging young people in prison and in the community to participate in Spark Inside’s life coaching workshops and one-to-one coaching. You will also manage our team of freelance coaches and play a key role in project management and smooth running of our coaching programmes.

To succeed in the role, you will need to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels in the criminal justice system including prisoners, prison staff of various levels and commissioners. You will also work in partnership with Youth Offending Services, the National Probation Service in the community, and other organisations as Spark Inside’s partnership work evolves. About the role:

This role is based in London and offers hybrid working both from home and our office in Singer Street. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate for Male Victims you will:

• implement effective ways of working with male victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to male victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through procedures and protocols to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• specialise and be leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for a male victims

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

Main Responsibilities:

 · To process residents rent and payments received on the housing management system (Pyramid) in order to achieve rent collection and arrears targets.

· Ensure all housing debts are pursued with the resident and local authorities ensuring all actions are recorded and payment plans are agreed with the resident.

· Effectively implement the rent arrears procedure to ensure warnings and eviction notices are served in a timely manner and in accordance with legal procedures

· Pass to Finance colleagues all requests for relevant council tax payments from local authorities

· Ensure receipts from Surrey County Council are correctly allocated between rent accounts and any support element is recorded as Housing Support based on bank payments sent by the Finance team to the housing team. Provide Finance with this information so they can enter onto finance system

· Input bank credits to match bank receipts from finance and posting onto Pyramid (housing management system).

· Work closely with the Head of Finance and support them with the month end reconciliation of receipts and arrears balance

· Lead on Discretionary Housing Payments requests, benefit issues and enquiries with the local authorities

· Maintain accurate rent accounts on the Pyramid housing management system ensuring information is recorded accurately.

· Work closely with the Housing Team and Finance Team on rent and support income management developing good working relations with them.

· Represent the organization in court possessions and evictions where necessary.

· Run monthly rent reports as directed by Head of Housing and Head of Finance

· Work closely with the Finance Officer (income) in relation to any queries about rent charged and payments received.

· Provide cover for the Finance Officer (income) where needed (after training)

· Maintain and submission of pre-card card processes

· Meet with the Head of Finance, Head of Housing and Finance Officer (income) to review housing arrears monthly.

· Ensure processes are followed and systems are updated to support the Key Housing Performance Indicator targets.

· Contribute and represent the organisation in a positive manner in team/management meetings both internally and externally.

Role Summary

The Operations Executive will join a small but rapidly growing team working at GH50/50. Within this role, and in close collaboration with the Head of Operations you will ensure high quality administrative support across GH50/50, setting the entire team up for success. This is a crucial role that will ensure that things run effectively and efficiently in support of our mission.

This is a brand new role for GH50/50, therefore we are looking for a bright, self-starter who can work with the Head of Operations to shape the role; providing recommendations to the organisation on administrative processes and own their projects from conception to delivery.  You will play a pivotal role in supporting the charity's administrative and strategic initiatives as we enter a new phase of growth. We foresee that the successful candidate will enjoy variety, will be highly organised and will have a can-do attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

o Support the Head of Operations in the smooth and efficient running of the GH50/50 office.

o Collaborate with the Head of Operations to source and roll out a new organisation-wide management system for GH50/50, ensuring thoughtful integration into our current working practices.

o Organise the Co-CEOs calendars, including scheduling meetings and appointments.

o Support the Head of Operations to prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and documents as required.

o Alongside the Head of Operations, maintain effective office management and administrative procedures.

o Manage and triage the organisational email account

o Monitor and update the organisation-wide contact database

o Ensure compliance with data protection and ethics legislation, including being up to date with GDPR requirements (training can be provided).

o Coordinate support to the team on basic financial management tasks, including expense claims and other reporting.

o Arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings, including managing calendars, conference call logistics, venue booking and wider meeting preparation tasks, preparing agendas, and minute-taking/dissemination of actions.

o Attendance at internal meetings across all work streams to increase information sharing and keep a sense of organisations objectives

o Coordinate the distribution of board and trustee and advisory group(s) meeting materials and invites.

o Own the planning and organising of certain events, including launches, roundtables and conferences. This will include event management and travel booking, when required.

o Flexibility to take on additional administrative tasks as and when needed in support of the charity.

Skills and Qualifications:

● A keen self starter, who is passionate about the GH50/50 mission and where they can have impact.

● Experience in working with or for academic institutes for research organisations would be beneficial, as would experience working with a remote team with globally based stakeholders

● Excellent organisational and time management skills.

● Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with high emotional intelligence.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with HR and financial management systems.

Relationship Management

• By building partnerships and brand visibility you will play an important role in enhancing Think Active’s marketing and communications efforts by strategically cultivating and managing partnerships. This includes developing and implementing joint marketing campaigns with partners to elevate Think Active (and our partners and funders) brand visibility.

• You will collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to create compelling narratives that showcase the impact of our projects and initiatives, driving awareness and engagement.

About the role and the London Adult Service:

The London Adult Service is a transformational service which aims to provide end-to-end support and casework to victims and witnesses of crime in London. The service is funded by the Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and is a key part of the London criminal justice landscape. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our external interface with our stakeholders. The role will be home-based, but attendance at our London office may sometimes be required for meetings.

As a Digital Engagement and Partnerships Manager you'll:

• Promote the London adult digital services to encourage referrals into the service.
• Oversee the implementation of key digital initiatives, working with partners to ensure a joined up user journey.
• Work with key stakeholders to encourage feedback and continuous improvement of the service.
• Manage the digital elements of the service ensuring operational teams are provided with assistance, for example with developing webinars and online group activities.

This role takes a matrix approach, reporting to the Head of Digital within the Communications and Digital team and also to staff within the London Adult Service.

We're looking for someone who can:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Has experience developing content for websites, social media and webinars.

Role Profile

You’ll work in a multifunctional, three person project team alongside a Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Creative Expert. The three of you will cover everything needed to execute your projects, coordinating with our technology team and working with external design capacity to deliver outstanding results for your partners, and renew and grow your partnerships.

The teams are designed to be flexible and nimble, chopping and changing who does what to best meet the needs of the project and the capacity of each team member. However, each role has a set of primary areas of expertise which you’ll typically be in charge of on most projects. As the team’s expert in those areas, it’s your responsibility to make sure your team does them to an exceptional standard, whether you’re delivering them yourself or supporting a team member to cover them on a given project.

As a Digital Strategy Expert, your primary areas of expertise are all things strategy, project management and delivery. Your key role in the team is to make sure the execution of our projects is smooth, efficient and high quality, whether that’s through smart strategic planning, tight project management or insightful data analysis. As well as taking ads management and email and page builds on some projects, you’ll also be called on to support the DCE with copywriting and potentially the DSM with proposal writing.

What you’ll do as part of our team

• Project management

  • Overseen by the Digital Strategy Manager, you’ll manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams

  • Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands, communicating with them via email, ClickUp, Slack and on video calls 

  • Ensuring all projects you manage are delivered on time and to scope, flagging any over-servicing or scope changes with the DSM

  • Coordinating with freelancers as required 

• Building partner relationships

  • As the person that is most in contact with our partners across project delivery, you play a key role in ensuring we build strong relationships of trust and longevity 

  • Ensuring we respond to partners in a timely manner and work with them to troubleshoot any bumps along the way 

• Strategy and planning

  • Develop strategy for the projects on which you lead, work with the DSM as needed to ensure we are always delivering strategic excellence 

  • Schedule and attend planning and project review meetings with clients

  • Take part in brainstorms to generate ideas for tactics that help our clients hit their goals

• Reporting & data analysis

  • Analyse the results of tests and tactics and provide strategic recommendations to partners based off them

• Ads setup and management

  • Builds ads (primarily in Meta) for our partners, ensuring an effective targeting strategy 

  • Ensure we are always optimising ad spend and suggesting changes in approach in line with results 

• Builds 

  • Working from templates to set up pages on EN/Blueprint as required and ensuring all pages are fully QAd before launching 

  • Coordinating with the tech team to manage more complicated builds 

  • Building emails as required by partners 

• Contribute to the wider team 

  • Actively participate in all-team meetings, contributing ideas and adding insights 

  • Play an active role in supporting our team culture, ensuring you adopt an inclusive approach 

Abilities and experience you’ll need to have

• 1.5+ years’ experience working in digital campaigning or digital fundraising, with proven experience of delivering results against goals 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions 

• Being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of using digital tools to build and send mass emails, comfort with managing lists 

• Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines 

• Knowledge of how to plan and deliver a fair A/B experiment

• Experience of managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope 

• Experience of managing ads in Meta, and proven ability to interpret the data to optimise against goals 

• Dedication to helping build a fairer, more progressive society

• Fluency in spoken and written English

• The ability to learn quickly. We don’t expect you to know or have done everything when you start - but if you don’t have this, we’ll be looking for evidence that you can pick up new skills and knowledge quickly, then run with them.

Abilities and experience that are nice to have

• Enthusiasm for thinking creatively and coming up with new ideas

Benefits and location 

Salary: £34,162 if you live inside London, £30,502 (plus £3,000 travel expense allowance) if you live outside London. Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.

Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.

Hours: We work a 30-hour 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday. Please note - as this is a full time role, you are not permitted to undertake any additional regular paid work on the Friday. 

Location: You can work remotely from anywhere in the UK or use our office in London Fields, East London. You will need to be able to come to London once or twice a month for in-person meetings, otherwise most of our meetings are held via video conferencing and all our workflow is built to be remote-first.
