Mental Health Support Worker

Position: Safe Harbour Non-Clinical Support Worker
Location: Epsom
Hours: 37 hrs. The service is open 8.45am-6pm, 365 days of the year. Full time staff will be part of the team covering the service’s needs. Bank staff will work casual shift/hours.
Salary: £30,300 per annum pro rata
Contract: Full Time and Bank Posts. Initially a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (for full time role) Bank posts, casual shifts/hours, initial 12-month Pilot

The Role
The Safe Harbour Practitioner will be required to coordinate and lead on activities and groups and carry out one to one sessions for people using the service both face to face, online, and by telephone. Bank staff will cover sickness, annual leave etc with no commitment to accept shifts offered.
The Safe Harbour Pilot is a 12-month Pilot in response to the rise in need and pressures across the mental health system. By creating greater capacity across the pathway and providing an additional day time resource where, a non-clinical model is best placed to meet the holistic needs of people, and support them to avoid escalation, manage and prevent crisis, better manage their mental health, stabilise, and build resilience. The service will be staffed 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by third sector non-clinical mental health practitioners.
This is not a front-line crisis service but works with those not requiring clinical crisis intervention or hospitalisation to build resilience with a focus on preventative work.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with clients face-to-face, to support their mental health.
- Establish and maintain a strong and positive rapport with clients of the Safe Harbour.
- Develop a vibrant programme of support.
- Motivate people attending groups, and other support sessions.
- Support the manager in the day-to-day management of the service.
- Work with external agencies to develop a programme of activities.
- Motivate and support people attending groups, and other support sessions.
- Complete all tasks related to set up, including planning initial meetings, calendar updates and rotas.
- Accept and process initial referrals and implement individual monitoring tools (Recovery Star).
- Complete risk assessments as required (including client risk).
- Monitor and evaluate activities and provide data for our funders and trustees.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of the programmes and services and implement improvements as necessary.
- Some remote and offsite working.
About You
You will have experience of working in mental health, wellbeing, behaviour change work with adults, or similar role along with the ability to travel and work flexibly.

The Role

TACT South West are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people across this TACT region.
The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people who have experienced significant traumas as a result of adverse childhood experiences. About the role
The role will support the Communications and Content team to deliver a wide range of projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will be responsible for managing and organising our libraries of videos and images, and creating improvements in our systems, to be easily accessible to colleagues. You will provide administrative support for content collection, to support the team to research, gather and shape the content needed for organisational communications needs, such as key moment appeals, emergencies and strategic communications.
About you
You will be an excellent communicator who pays attention to detail and has strong organization skills. You will be experienced in communications, marketing or a related area with ability to turn complex information into good content. You must be confident to manage and prioritise your workload, with a range of different projects, and to take initiative in your work. POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Accounts Payable function; processes transactions in the accounting system and maintains accounts payable files for vendors. Primary point of contact for questions and assistance regarding entry and payment of invoices.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Subject matter expert on Unit 4 ERP System Vendor Master File and accounts payable, provide support to other Internews staff also entering invoices.
· Prepare and enter multi-currency invoices for all payment methods (Barclays wire Transfers, ACH, check, FX, Western Union, etc.), including review for proper coding and approvals.
· Review and research open payables to resolve outstanding issues prior to payment.
· Process recurring remittances according to corporate schedule, including payment of invoices entered by others.

About the Role
The Special Events Lead role manages the organisation’s special events from start to finish, raising the visibility of the charity, building relationships with prospects and securing income for the Children’s Hospital and the Cancer Hospital.
They will be responsible for project management and professionally executing the organisation’s special events. Past events have included a fundraising gala for 500 guests at Trinity College, a private reception at a jewellery designer’s studio and a behind-the-scenes tour of robotic surgery at the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will take lead responsibility for the operational management and delivery of several Special Events, from dinners and receptions to larger flagship events.
- Create a portfolio of events that will engage a variety of supporters and prospects.

- Maintain good relationships with committee chairs and committee members where events are being organised by volunteers.

As Special Events Lead, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent of knowledge and experience with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of successful coordination experience. Climb are an Prevention and Early Intervention Service for 10-17 year old's who may vulnerable to criminal exploitation and/or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. We offer 1-1 outreach support and access to positive diversionary activities in their local areas.
This is an exciting role within an established and expanding service across West Mercia. There are a number of varied, practitioner roles that are set to increase. We are currently looking for a Exploitation Practitioner to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
This role will support young people at risk of criminal exploitation or entering the criminal justice system; at an early intervention level. This will be through 1-1, direct work and support in accessing positive diversionary activities, therefore reducing the risk. It will also require excellent mutli-agency work.
This role is for people with a passion in supporting vulnerable young people on a 1-1 basis, in raising their aspirations, building their confidence, working together with professionals to ensure the most appropriate, robust and holistic support is offered to meet each individual's needs. A key part of this role will be your ability to positively impact the lives of Children and Young people.
You will need to be able to engage with professional colleagues also, have presentation skills, and be able to bring people together around mutual goals.
Although the contracts are home based, there will be a lot of daily travel across Telford or Shropshire area. Although there is no specific office base, you will be part of a geographically based team and will be well supported by the management team and all of your colleagues.
