I have a really exciting, newly created Communications Manager role with a small Arts and Community charity, where you will come in as a Communications expert, and build their strategy from scratch. You will work with an established organisation, helping them to reach the next level and reach wider audiences. The role is unique in that you can be strategic but also hands-on.
You will immerse yourself in the different spaces and meet the teams across London, and help share and tell the story of the charity. They are looking for a communications expert, who has developed strategies previously, and who are passionate about the arts, media and creative industries.
The role can be offered as either part-time or full-time.
The charity operates as a solution for otherwise vacant property, through charitable occupation. This can range from short term 18 months to 3 years or longer term 3 – 10 years. They currently have over 500 affordable artist workspaces, and 5 project spaces where they provide a programme of arts and educational events.
- Salary £35,000 – £39,000 pro rata
- Benefits: Holiday Entitlement (as well as Christmas period and bank holidays), Pension Scheme (you can opt out if you wish to). Commitment to your development, with quarterly meetings to discuss ongoing progress, address issues and revaluate objectives.
- Working either 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

About the Customer Experience Manager Role:
As Customer Experience Manager, you will be the Centre champion of our ‘Think FRESH!’ customer journey framework (Fun Relevant Effective Simple Helpful) and oversee and improve all aspects of our onsite customer journey. You will drive retention & support income generation through the delivery of fun, innovative events, and the implementation of service standards that exceed customer expectations.
What we are looking for in our Customer Experience Manager:
- Prior experience operating as a manager in a customer experience focussed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences, both internal and external
- Comfortable managing your own workload, time, and logistics.
- Experience and knowledge of residential hospitality, group travel, food & beverage operations or a related hospitality industry. Excellent customer service skills and awareness of customer expectations to ensure the customer is at the centre of decision-making.

- Line manage and lead key members of our booking, administration and events team, ensuring they have the tools and support that they need to complete their job effectively.
- Review and implement customer service standards to ensure consistent standards of service delivery are met for improved customer relations.

About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a driven person to join us as our Project Coordinator. You will be plan, develop and manage behaviour change projects which encourage and empower people to walk, wheel and cycle across the East Midlands.
Reporting to the Head of Behaviour Change, you will be working closely with external Council Officers, as well as with regional colleagues across Sustrans.
As the Project Coordinator you will be line manager to two Project Officers, helping them develop skills and knowledge in planning, delivering, and evaluating behaviour change interventions.
Candidates should be based within the geographical area with weekly travel expected to Ilkeston and Derby.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans to engage and empower schools and the local community of South Tyneside, to deliver school streets and identify ways in which their neighbourhoods can be made better places for all.
As the project officer, you will deliver activities in a variety of settings, including classrooms and assemblies, to develop children and young people's understanding of the benefits of active travel. You will also work alongside local authorities and other organizations collaboratively on the project. Supporting schools and community champions and harnessing local authority resources to make links between schools and communities. Sharing best School Street practice and reporting back experiences with the rest of the Sustrans School Streets team.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
About you
You should have experience of working with children and young people, and delivering community led projects. You will deliver physical activity and other behaviour change projects.
You will have good report writing and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize your own workload and function on your own initiative limited supervision.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the UK-wide Volunteering Team, as the lead representative for Northern Ireland.
As the Volunteering Development Manager, you will support the development of key volunteering initiatives and projects both across the UK and Northen Ireland. You will play a key role in supporting colleagues in Northern Ireland to identify opportunities to embed volunteering across their work.
Contributing to Sustrans 5-year volunteering strategy aims, you will work closely with the Head of Volunteering to shape and implement this within Northern Ireland.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as partner organisations and the UK-wide volunteering development network.

Join a vibrant and energetic team, living and working in Mid Wales, and work with colleagues delivering landscape scale work focused on the uplands, rivers and their own estate, which includes Gilfach Nature Reserve and Wilder Pentwyn Farm.
You’ll work closely with colleagues at The Trusts, building action with partner organisations and community groups across the catchment, sharing common messages and calls for action across Wales.
With elections in both locally and in Welsh Assembly elections over the next 2 years, following a new government in Westminster, there will be a concerted focus on ensuring actions for clean and healthy rivers feature in debates and discussions and that there is a clear understanding that connected landscapes and wildlife-rich habitats, giving space to nature, are well funded and supported at all levels of decision making.
Our client fundamentally understand the value of healthy environments and the codependency of people and nature. Their community is made up of people who see the value in healthy eco-systems and healthy rivers. It is also people that will be directly impacted by the changes they foresee in the Wye catchment happening. Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) helps people in local communities to change their lives for the better, through direct service delivery and by supporting the local voluntary and community sector.
The Building up Individuals for Life and Development (BUILD) Project partnership is funded to provide comprehensive support packages for individuals aged 19 and over. BUILD will work across rural Leicestershire cluster areas identified by our extensive knowledge of and engagement with areas where there are gaps in community based services. The Project will work with those who are disengaged, feel socially excluded and face multiple barriers, offering a varied, supportive and bespoke skills and personal development approach.
This role will play a crucial role in supporting participants. You will identify project participants and conduct person-centred assessments with them. You will be responsible for creating strength-based personal development plans as well as providing ongoing support and guidance in order to help the participants grow in confidence, build skills and gain control of their lives. Your role will work to increase participation in volunteering and advice on selfemployment and entrepreneurship, building networks to share best practice through shared learning.
You will be expected to collaborate with our experienced partners Rural Community Council (RCC) who work to improve wellbeing, increase resilience and tackle disadvantage across rural areas and CASE who work to promote social enterprise and rural community development. You will make a tangible impact on individuals’ lives and local communities, fostering sustainable change.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a passion for and experience in supporting individuals to identify and achieve personal goals combined with an established understanding of barriers preventing individuals from accessing support. Proven skills in engaging and motivating individuals (both face to face and remotely), networking to achieve outcomes and an ability to develop high quality information and resources are also necessary.
Experience of delivering work readiness workshops to groups and tailored individual interventions in support of personal skills development would be a great advantage. The role requires confident communicators with experience track in providing impactful support and training, working in diverse communities across the County.
You will have a proactive and dynamic approach, excellent organisation skills, a keen eye for detail combined with the ability to process detailed information, manage relationships, prioritise and multitask. The project team will work to KPI’s, so flexibility and a “can do” attitude are a must.

To ensure the development of a strategic communication, marketing, and engagement strategy for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector within the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership. Emphasise and amplify the VCSE’s role in enhancing population health addressing health inequalities and fostering collaboration across the wider system. Lead the representation of the VCS Alliance, and wider VCSE sector, in strategic meetings across Bradford District and Craven. Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders operating at grassroots and strategic levels, including Communications Leads at Community First Yorkshire, Public Health and the NHS.

This is an exciting new opportunity to develop a strategic approach to VCSE voice and influence across the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership to support good population health and health inequality ambitions, specifically relating to healthy minds, healthy children and families and healthy communities. Our Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, in collaboration with Bradford Council, NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and VCSE infrastructure support organisations, have commissioned a new transitional VCSE Activation Contract.
This contract will:
- Strengthen the Sector – through improving the capability of, and address weaknesses in, organisations that directly divert citizens from the statutory health and social care system.
- Activate the Voice and Influence of Citizens and the VCSE Sector to ensure insight and experience of diverse citizens and VCSE organisations inform and support activity which takes pressure off front line health and social care services.
- And will seek out the voices and insight of the most marginalised communities and those of the VCSE organisations that are working with and supporting those groups to achieve the outcome described above. This citizen voice is a key theme to how we make decisions across our place – Bradford District and Craven.
During this coming year we will work together as partners driven by our ethos to ‘Act as One’ to focus on our shared ambition of people living ‘happy, healthy at home’. Specifically taking pressure off front health and care front line services

Purpose of the post

Duties and Responsibilities
Key working relationships
- Form a robust network and collaborate with a wide range of partners, across the Act as One Partnership. Foster strong relationships through effective partnership working, ensuring mutual benefits and successful relationship management.
- Represent the VCSE sector in conversations on Urgent and Emergency Care, High Intensity Use, Intermediate Care, and other strategic meetings as required.
- Ensure that VCSE partners are well represented in all engagement with commissioners and to develop the reputation of the VCSE as partners.
- Actively support the transformation of Enhanced care in the community, intermediate care offer, to support people with the appropriate level of care support and interventions to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Lead and champion VCSE / community led High Intensity Use approaches and methodology in secondary and primary care across BD&C
Operational
- Responsible for creating an innovative way of developing the reduction in high intensity use of Emergency Departments.
- Manage and facilitate discussions and advise delivery partners as to how best practice might be adopted for future development of services and oversee their delivery.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and chair multi-disciplinary meetings, including managing data flow, to ensure a person centred and holistic approach to care provision.
- Work closely with VCSE partners to facilitate and coordinate the co-design of highly personalised projects that support improved wellbeing and health outcomes, whilst reducing inappropriate contact with health care services and unscheduled care.
- Attend a range of system forums / steering groups that are in support of unmet social needs e.g. homelessness, Mental Health.
- Work with other VCS Alliance staff to ensure links to other relevant programmes across the system.
- Develop and operate monitoring processes that support learning and assess effectiveness of provision.
- Lead on a range of projects to ensure that the outcomes agreed are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
- Determine links to existing projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider system/sector, resource requirements and building in contingency, as necessary.
- Work with finance team in preparation of budgets.
- Monitor finance expenditure and outputs relating to programme budget and report to Senior Leadership Team and Board as appropriate.
Information Management
- Present complex information and create briefs about projects in a way that make complex topics easier to understand and are appropriate for the audience.
- Coordinate and share learning of the work with the wider partnership to promote and ensure sustainability.
- Identify patterns, themes and ‘causal factors’ which trigger relapse behaviours in order to shape future commissioning of service and/or demand/capacity planning.
- Draft reports summarising status on issues, outcomes, and provide progress/highlight reports to ICB, including highlighting exceptions and risks ensuring mitigating action can be taken to keep programmes on track.
- Maintain a risk register and ensure actions are in place to mitigate unacceptable levels of risk.
Impact and Insight
- Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and information.
- Collate as required, qualitative and quantitative information and lead appropriate analysis to develop robust business cases.
- Analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making across programme portfolio.

Purpose of the Post
To lead insight and impact of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector across Bradford District and Craven, including developing and managing the Impact and Insight function for the VCS Alliance. To ensure the work of the VCSE sector is founded on good insight and that the impact can be presented clearly to wide range of audiences across the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership system. You will work in partnership with data and intelligence colleagues in Public Health and the NHS, promoting equitable outcomes for all community members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To lead, on behalf of the VCSE sector, and in collaboration with system partners, the development of a shared set of metrics to measure the impact of the sector’s work, particularly in taking pressure off front line health and care services.
- Lead the development and implementation of an approach to demonstrate the impact of the work of VCS partners and their contribution to reducing inequalities.
- Work in collaboration with other voluntary sector infrastructure partners and their data and insight leads to help develop a joined up and collaborative approach to impact and insights across and on behalf of the VCSE sector.
- Develop, maintain and manage good relationships with a broad range of partners including, Local Authority, NHS partners, VCSE partners.
- Gather local, national, and international insight and learning to help inform investment decisions and the evolution of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners’ work.
- Provide insight and learning for VCS Alliance staff, and VCSE advocates across the health and care system, to help them inform, advocate, influence and/or inspire.
- Present insights to a wide range of audiences, which includes senior leaders from different sectors, for a range of purposes including informing, advocating, influencing, and inspiring.
- To work in collaboration with system partners, including ICB and public health staff, to access relevant data that be translated into insight required to demonstrate impact of the VCSA and its delivery partners and wider VCSE organisations.
- Support the monitoring, learning, evaluation of programmes for the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
- Produce regular reports which help demonstrate the impact and learning of the work of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
- Support the continued development of insight collection methods across a variety of projects.
